Im selling my tab and i need to do the reset to delete my info. If you do hard reset (power+volume up) do i have to do the rooting again? How do i delete my info without rooting again? Thx
Power+volume up will take you to recovery and will not hard reset. You can then select factory reset from the recovery screen.
No you can't usually remove root by factory reset. Depending on your root method, for froyo using super one click has unroot. But cf-root for gingerbread does not have unroot. To remove root one has to flash the kernel without repartition.
Good luck!

thx and I will try the reset tonight
Hi, I used to have a s2, and I once got stuck in a boot loop. I can't remember how, but had to completely wipe the phone and its software and do a fresh re install.
Now I want to completely wipe my note of Any old messages, pictures, account information the lot. So none of it is retrievable. By absolutely any one, so completely gone. How can I do this? And what would I do?

if you are rooted you can use recovery to wip the system
So nothing is ever left or retreavable? Does this need me to back up what I want...... ?
Thanks.....

yes it will wipe it to factory, alternatively just flasha stockrom that will wipe the system and set it to factory
Hiiii first post here but anyways,
I have a SGH-I957 ATT LTE version and had filled the hard drive space to maximum... about like 70ish megabytes remaining (I know, stupid). It was running slow and it wouldn't delete full stacks of files for some reason so I restarted it and it got stuck in a bootloop. I've tried booting to recovery and rebooting again and I don't really want to factory wipe.
Any suggestions?? Please help lol

What kind of factory reset are you talking about the one build in the phone or flash tool
1) phone factory reset will not delete you root but you will need to reinstall the busybox and superuser (available in google play store)
2) flash-tool will remove your root and recovery.
3) your reinstall you rom using a zip file that will not remove any of you recovery or root
reset factory. you can reset the factory by phone .. after unlocking. root and custom recovery? thank you
Yes, factory reset will still work after root.
