[Q] Anyone flashed ARHD yet - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I have my HTC One for a few days now and I'm absolutely in love with it, the fluidity and the 0 lagg is huge for me, comming from an HTC Sensation which was laggy by default. I solved this problem by flashing ARHD (Android Revolution HD). This rom was a lot smoother but it had force restarts from time to time :/
So now my question is, has anyone flashed ARHD yet? Experienced any sudden reboots?
Thanks in advance!

Smooth as butter for me. on latest 7.2 from here

ARHD has been rock solid for me so far. No reboots or hiccups at all. I wish I had paid attention to it earlier.

I am on 7.3 right now and it's pretty good so far. Actually, I have only been on the STOCK Rom for like 1 hour before I got ARHD so I can't tell if battery life is better or not.
I just know that my phone is pretty smooth.

I flashed 7.3, but it removed the ability to bill purchases to my carrier... I'm on att... Does anybody have a fix?

Cm7 stability?

Hey guys, I'm pretty experienced with rooting and flashing roms onto phones, and I've done extensive reading about the process for the captivate. my cousin has asked me to root and install cm7 on his phone. My only thing about doing this for other people is that down the road, if something goes haywire, they're pretty much hosed as they didn't do the rooting and flashing themselves.
My question is how stable is cm7 right now? Do the nightlies offer many improvements with each release? Is it nearly trouble free? How about long term usage? Battery life? Please give me your thoughts on this, or if you have another rom you prefer, why is it better?
I only chose cm7 because that is what I use, and for the hd2 it is pretty much complete. Thanks all

For someone that doesn't even know how to root, its a bad idea. Its generally stable, but sometimes you run into some weird stuff that requires some knowledge.

HTC Desire C Root and ROMs

Hey there
Is it possible to get Root and ROM on HTC Desire C? maybe a CM9 thing? or a stock rom with tweeks?
Thanks in advance!
A quick google finds this: http://www.modaco.com/topic/355158-r1-superboot-how-to-root-the-htc-desire-c/
You need to unlock your bootloader via the HTCdev site first.
I was hoping to find a better rom than the garbage preloaded on this. I found Nova launcher helps a lot but I don't know why anyone would want sense on a device. CM9 or AOKP would be pretty great right about now.
My Nexus and GS2 are both in for repair so I picked this up for $100. For the price I guess I can't really complain too much.
its a quite new phone, if this phone gets some developers i will probably buy it

I just picked up the Desire C from Virgin (Canada) and I am pleasantly surprised with its responsiveness running at 600mhz. If we could ditch the Sense it could have a ton of potential.

There is no even custom rom, so it will take some time to get at least something custom on it...
Ugh, I hate being a newb on a forum. And yes, I watched the newb video, and I totally get the 10 post rule. I'm not a guru, and I'm not (technically) a newb either. I just have a few simple questions about the Desire C, and I am searching the forums so I don't have to piss anyone off with useless questions that have already being answered.
That being said, it seems like there hasn't been a lot done on the Desire. I've already bootloader unlocked and rooted mine, and I'm in the process of downloading Nameless Rom 2.2 and I'm going to install that when it's done...
I just want to ask one simple question without sounding totally dumb: Will installing a new ROM change the CID? I've been looking into SuperCID but I'm not sure if it supports this phone or not. I'm not JUST trying to network unlock the phone, I'm trying to learn more about Android and mods in general. MY experience ends about a year ago, when I started dating a girl and my computer time slowly diminished... so my knowledge has gotten rusty. I was surprised to see Android 4 ... last time I ROM'd a phone it was to upgrade my friend's phone from 2.1 to 2.2 if I remember correctly.
Anyway, I hope this doesn't get deleted. I really am trying to look through the posts to see if there's more info but it's 8AM and I'm still awake.

The best rom for Desire C is Nameless 2.0.2 by einstein.frat. It boosts the performance, I noticed an increase of speed on my nds4droid!

Best ROM (I know this question has been asked a lot of times)

Hi,
I am tired of trying new ROMs daily and want to settle down with one ROM. Currently i am on Ice cold sandwich and always come back to this ROM after trying any other ROM. My dream ROM would be with HTC sense (3.6 or 4 any would do) with fast ice cream sandwich. Speed and stability is important for me. Please suggest some good ROMs.
Thanks
Everyone's experience is dofferent with each rom..
Have u tried miui? Thats the one to go for me

I think, yes. But we don't have Sense 4.1 right now. But we will get it surely when we get a port from the new Desire X. But with the kernel from lost.prophet and the governor lionheart the ROM seems very smooth to me. It feels great, but try it yourself - it's all about taste
you should try the official pre-root rom, if the stability is your main key. I use the rooted official rom, sense 3.6 on ics. The speed is not bad but not so fast.
Because I use this phone for getting my job done and little chat with my friends. Next year I will flash the custom rom, when htc is no longer issue any updates for this phone.

The best ROM is the one that works best for your requirements on your phone.
Each ROM has certain features, some USPs and some shortcomings, but ALL ARE GOOD! Or else they wouldn't be showcased by the respective ROM developers (thank god htcphones has been banned).
So check each one out, try them in your daily usage pattern and then select one. Asking others what's good for me is like choosing a girlfriend/ partner and asking others to test and tell if she's OK!

Been running it for 2 days now. A poster in the thread mentioned phenomenal battery life. Unfortunately I don't see it. I am at 50% right now since the morning and I am a light user. I am coming from 2.3.5 which had a 3 day average use for me. Not happy with performance buy happy that I have ICS. If my provider didn't stop development I'd be still on 2.3.5 until stable release. Oh well.

Than you're doing sth wrong. My battery life is great. I'm on 60% now with a rough usage the whole day... Disable auto-brightness, that should do it

Not sure what could be wrong. Didn't touch any settings. Everything default, except turned off the animations that I hate so much.
I'll turn it off and see what that does.

I'm also using Nik Project X. Even though the ICS experience is so much better than GB, the battery life is not comparable. I could get at least 4 days with Nik Trinity XL. With Project X, I get 3 days roughly. I'm using the same settings I used to have with Trinity XL but battery performance could not match Project X. I'm still happy about the ICS's smoothness.

In the beginning I also didn't touch anything and battery life was terrible... Don't really know what changed it. I hope auto-brightness does it...

Auto-brightness, how often things sync with the internet, how good of an area are you in for signal reception. Even having your phone on silent will give you better battery life: if your constantly getting messages from whatsapp etc instead of playing a sound for message notification.
My phone will get to about 8pm with 70% battery, but then i talk to people on whatsapp and my battery goes down to about 10%.

Hi. I'm interested to try IceColdSandwich someday, but it seems that there were several bugs which makes me thinking whether should or not to flash this ROM. Have you tried Nik Project X V4.1? If so, can you help me compare pros and cons between these two ROMs? Because I'm Nik Project X V4.1's user. Never had a chance to try IceColdSandwich yet.

HTC ONE - Sense 5 problem

Hello all and congrats for the excelent forum.
A friend of mind recommended this forum to me and i´m addicted to it.
My problem with my Htc one and Sense 5 is the blinkfeed it does not update with my current rom 2.1.0 from Venom. Its a great rom very stable and very fast of course the phone helps but the problem is that the blinkfeed didnt update.
Anyone got this issue too?
Thanks and regards for everyone
Hi and welcome to the forums!
I strongly suggest to ask this question in the ROM's thread, since the chances are higher to get an answer much quicker - because it looks like ROM related.
Have you checked from blinkfeed screen: settings can be auto refresh on wi fi only or WiFi and mobile

[Q] Restoring performance of m7

Hi there. I have been using my m7 for nearly 2 years now and was going to upgrade to m9 this year. Since m9 dissapointed me really and I have never been a fan of Galaxy series I may stay with my beloved m7 for a bit longer. It is really great phone unfortunately it became laggy and unresponsive some time ago. Not mentioning poor (!!!) battery life... As I was going to upgrade it never actually bothered me enough to think about fixing this. Since now. If I am going to spend at least few more months with this device I would like it to perform as it did before, or close to it.
Updated to Lollipop recently but I cant blame lollipop as performance was bad long ago before update, phone never been rooted, 100% stock, all unwanted apps uninstalled/disabled, only essential apps being used, always Auto sync off for everything, localizations off, I dont use fb, twitter etc only viber sits in the background and Google Now launcher as I got bored with BlinkFeed.
Moving to qeustions... Is this normal for m7 to loose on performance after 2 years usage? Maybe it is just normal for all smartphones after some time and this is just me expecting too much from my "old" ONE? Are there any ways to improve the way my phone works, can involve rooting if necessary so I will finally learn how to do it What are your suggestions friends?
I believe there is many like me and hope this thread will help others as well.
Thanks in advance
I am in the same boat as you.
