Because our device doesn't have official support. If you have Nexus device, i sure AOSP get compiled earlier.

MIUI 4.0 ?

Will it be possible once we get a almost fully working ics port....how hard will it be to since its also aosp ?
That would be a question for Hash probably but I would assume it would be easier.

Hash said in one of his posts, he might try to port it after cm is mostly stable.

If memory serves me right, CM10 requires an AOSP-based kernel, and HTC's newest release is certainly nothing close. That said, I'm surprised you're having an issue running CM10, as I would have imagined their kernel would include a fix for this.
CM hasnt incorporated it into their rom yet. Soooo, cm doesnt have capacitive fix.

Interesting. They're usually pretty big on pushing kernels.
Hey remember when you thought we wouldn't get s-off on the 3D? Lol

NFC on cyanogenmod

Is it possible to flash an NFC patch that was written for jelly bean 4.1 over a 4.2 CyanogenMod?
Is there a kernel change or a driver change between those two releases?
Thank you.

No there is no patch for NFC to work in CM, Samsung Kernels is different from CM Kernels
Developers haven't wrote any code for NFC to work in CM since other major issues are still needed to be fixed
All right, seems fair. Thank you for the kind answer!

(Unofficial) Pacman Rom 4.3.1 Nightly - When Official isn't available - 101613

I have been building Pacman myself when there isn't a nightly available over at the official thread.
I take no credit other and the time and computer used to compile these builds.
All credit goes to the Pacman team and all of their official maintainers and supporters.
I won't provide any support for these builds but feel free to leave comments that might help others.
The same requirements for installation apply to these builds.

Shoot I might just have to use the unofficials since the officials aren't being built up all the way it seems
Well the last *working* official nightly is working fantastic for me, any reason to switch to this?

If you want new features like "Gesture Anywhere" or you want to checkout some of the 4.3.1 fixes. I switched to this due to the official nightlies being down... Its the same exact thing that should be available from PAC ROM (if I'm not mistaken). When the official builds come to life again, I'll switch back...
I believe the CM changelogs will reflect some of the updates in these nightlies... http://mobile.10.2.cmxlog.com/?device=jfltespr

3.4 Kernel

Is the only way to get a 3.4 kernel would be getting a official kernel from Motorola? Or is it possible to make a 3.4 kernel for our phone?

Work has been done on that but nothing successful. There are a few 3.4 branches located in the dev team's repository.

Oh, alright thanks! Well hope we can get that and a 4.4 build working I'll be happy until I save up for a nexus 5

New kernels are much tougher than roms. The 4.4 builds that we have are impressively stable and well-working for being the initial builds. Progress has come very quickly.
