[Q] Problem Syncing Music - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi so i have the Htc One from Telstra and I'm trying to sync my music from Itunes through the HTC sync manager software.
So I've imported all the music but the phone doesn't seem to sync.
When I connect the phone to the computer the htc sync manager recognises it and in settings the sync settings pop up however all the ticks to sync music or sync files are all greyed out and very soon it disappears?
Is there a fix for this?

ActiveSync 4.5 App Crashes B4 Sync Completion with 8925 Tilt

Up until recently, I've been successfully using "Microsoft Active Sync 4.5", to sync my 8925 Tilt's data to my PC (running Windows XP w/service pack2). Now Active Sync keeps crashing at/near the very end of the syncing process. I removed Active Sync from my PC via add/remove programs, and also moved the previously synced folder (Tilt files) from my PC desktop onto another HD, and then reinstalled Active Sync from scratch. Unfortunately Active Sync continues to crash even after reinstall, including removing the Tilt to PC link partnership and reassigning a new one. The crash error message window reads: "ActiveSync Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Here is the list of items I've got selected for syncing:
contacts
calendar
tasks
notes
files
WorldmatePro
Autofile
Movie Guide
Spb Wallet
The syncing process appeared to hang when it attempts to complete syncing the 'files' and/or 'notes' section, so I subsequently removed both 'files' & 'notes' from the sync item list, but unfortunately, Active Sync continues to crash right after having successfully(?) syncing all items, as interestingly enough, a synced check mark appears next to all items before the program actually crashes.
Is Microsoft Active Sync the only program that can sync the phone's: contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, and backup/sync files to your PC? I also own Sprite backup (full version) but I don't believe its a syncing program like Active Sync is.
Anybody here experienced problems with ActiveSync 4.5?
I have lots of apps installed & have made a lot of tweaks on my Tilt, so short of performing a hard reset on my phone, are there any suggestions on how I can get Active Sync working (w/o crashing) again?
Thanks in advance for all help and input.

Try unchecking the "Enable advanced network functionality" box under the connections tab > USB to PC.
Make sure there are not any older versions of Microsoft office on your machine.
ActiveSync doesnt know where to look for the sync items if you havent COMPLETELY removed everything.
I had a similar problem, had an update from office 2000xp to 2007 and it wouldnt sync.

Many ppl have multiple versions of Office installed as a result of trial versions that were installed at the factory the never got removed, and other factors. Remove all versions of Office and all components. Then install only the version you intend to use in perpetuity.

active sync not syncing

for some reason since yesterday i couldnt sync with my laptop running vista anymore...it connects..and under wmdc it says connected but when it trys to sync the sync center just says sync failed...i've searched around and played around with the settings..such as unchecking the usb to PC box..the enable advanced network...i've tried deleting and re-creating a new partnership and it still wouldnt sync..now my phone has no contacts appointments in the calender but its all on my laptop...
edit: i am able to send files back and forth and use the file explorer...just cant get it to sync
any other settings i should look at?
i've read another thread that looked into the wifi which i did and had no success..
any other ideas?
edit: i'm playing around with what to sync..and its for some reason contaccts and calender it wont sync...if i uncheck those and just check lets say...mobile favs under wmdc...it'll sync no problem...i wonder whats causing this?
edit:still playing around with no advance..but for some reason if i just go to the calender or contact on the phone it freezes...maybe that has to do with it not syncing..because mobile favs n notes are syncing
Same here
I am having a similar problem. As far as I can tell mine sync's but I still get an error at the end. Not sure what isn't syncing.
I have the same problem but only with Contacts. Calendar and tasks sync normally. I'm using an original ROM WM6.0 in a Kaiser. and ActiveSync 4.5 with Outlook XP in a Windows XP SP3 machine (Works fine in my other computer with the same configuration). Do you know about a possible cause?
Not much help but I think I remember seeing threads somewhere that talked about sync problems due to corrupt calender/contacts files either on the pc or the device. Also I think it's temperamental about where your contacts etc are stored.

[Q] 0x8503001C htc diamond

Hi:
Here again after a long time. I need your help.
Introduction:
I usually had sync problems with my HTC Diamond and my PC (XP, Active Xync 4.5.0), since it was bought some years ago. Mostly with the calendar.
After several problems I decided to use Google Calendar and sync my Diamnod and my computer with it (Diamond and computer does not sync calendar anymore but thru' Google Server). Installed Google Calendar Sync in my PC and my Diamnod connects also to the Google Server to sync the calendar.
Tasks and sync among PC and Diamnod.
And Diamond syncs Contacts with Google Server and PC.
Problem:
Today my Diamond is not synchronizing Tasks and Contacts with my PC. It does sync and if I only choose to sync Notes and Archives it has no problem but if I try to sync also Tasks and contacs I get an 0x8503001C error code. This morning worked perfect.
Solutions:
I tried to uninstall the Diamnod from the Active Sync, the Active Sync form the PC,... but nothing worked.
So its your turn, please help me.
Thanks and best regards, JM.

[Q] HTC Sync Manager sync ALL out look appointments

HTC sync manager is working. I sync my contacts and appoinments.
In sync manager you can edit the settings appointments sync.
Here you can set sync "last week" "last year".
I want to sync ALL my appointments. How can I do that?

[Q] HTC Sync Manager + Microsoft Outlook 2013 contact sync issue

I have Sync Manager v2.1.77.0 and MS Office 2013 64-bit running on Windows7. I find that when syncing contacts to my phone, that Sync Manager only transfers contacts from Outlook that are within the 'Contacts' root container and does not sync with any folders within the container itself. I have thousands of contacts and can not imagine having them all within one folder just to be able to sync to my phone. I need folders for my contacts to sync, as they did before flawlessly with iTunes and my old iPhone 3G. Anyone else experiencing this?
