Hey everyone, i'm a former Galaxy Nexus owner and loved the rom Paranoid Android on it and was wondering if the will make an appearance on the One. I was just wondering this because i saw that CM is making its way onto our phones and made me wonder if it was a possibility to port PA as well.

Hard to say but being that it's a flagship device there is a good chance. It all depends on how proactive HTC is with releasing source.

Hi All,
Is there a working ICS port on Tab P1010 (Wi Fi only). I am planning to get this TAB and would love to know whether i can get ICS working here.
regards,
Nandi
In fact, yes. Motafoca (the only dev working on it) said that a Cyanogenmod 7.2 is coming soon. After he make the 7.2, he'l start to work on Cyanogenmod 9.
Look, if i was you, i wont buy this device (just with a good offer). Actually, coust $350, well with this money, you can wait for Nexus tab, that is coming in jully (rumors) and will coust $150-250.

Seems like motafoca already hits "the wall" it is so silent over there at the forum. I seriouly think he needs help from other devs here.
To OP, if the tab doesn't mean much to you (ie: a gift from girlfriend or something) consider selling it now and save up for some other tablet out there with many devs supporting it. P1010 is the black hole for the joy you deserve to get using android device. Using device with many devs at least you know that device isn't going to die after the manufacture decided to not support it anymore.

Well
I'm just hoping for Motafoca's nice experience with Android devices.
Soon, we will get Cyan 7.2! Woohoo!

It clearly says its for the P1000 model.
The wifi model is P1010.
The good news is you can make your Galaxy Tab P1010 to look like a JellyBean device although the fact that it is still a Gingerbread. http://techcentralz.com/how-to-upgrade-galaxy-tab-p1010-gingerbread-to-jellybean-look-alike/
tested on my p1010, no problem so far
Hello folks.. i'm thinking of getting the HTC One. I'm really in love with it but i'm a rom junkie. As you know HTC One X got the official CM support 6 months later what do you think about the One? Will it get the CM on time or like 5 or 6 months later as One X?
Ask to CM team as they are the only person who can precisely answer
Send from my S3 (2nd HTC one goes for replacement)
Yet they are the ones who push us back to this forum and say "if we will support something then it will be HERE in the forums"
So I think he should ask here and just maybe one of the cm devs will give us an answer

Koush has stated he is willing to maintain it when s-off is available for the device.

There will be unofficial ports, doesn't matter if they officially support the device or not.
We will have CyanogenMod

I know I like HTC devices too much to get a nexus. Its a surprise I have this one.
The camera tweaks are all software related, it just processes the image after you shoot it. So the camera will be almost as good

Wouldn't you be able to keep the camera and just change the rest?
The real question is when will the HTC One gain S-OFF
I really like the hardware of the HTC unit I dont like the home button on the S4 but without S-off and a commit from CM officially supporting id be real hesitant and may go with the S4 but I really am torn

Aosp camera offers limited control. The only thing I miss from touchwiz is the camera. I absolutely hate aosp camera but it launches faster than 3rd party cams

You don't have to be S-OFF to get CM... Only koush did say that he will support it if it's S-OFF but take my word. If nobody here make's a CM port after a month I get my HTC One then I'll make one even if I'm not a AOSP fan at all. Sense all the way!!

I just saw that Codeworkx is getting the One... So yeah, I expect there will be CM love for the One. Though like many say, I don't think it's worth it just yet. But when Android 5.0/KLP hits us, it will be hard to resist a CM11 build if available..
source: codeworkx.de (3rd of 4th post)
Koush has ordered the unlocked developer version (x2), so he will be supporting CM for sure.
And as for the S4, team Hacksung has already said they *wont* be supporting it, so don't expect that to be better.
In the end, as many have said, both devices will get CM, whether official or not. But why you would want to lose great features like Zoe and the new gallery I don't know. Just install Nova or Apex launcher, and Sense will be out of your face 90% of the time while keeping access to the good bits.

It's not about JellyBean i won't even consider flashing another JB rom on Sense 5. But Key Lime Pie is on the horizon and i can't resist to give it a try. KLP is going to be awesome and most of us will want to get it. But we all know we won't be getting the official update before at least 6 or more months.
Yes HTC is a weird bird slow as hell to get official anything. ie thunder bolt. With this 4 Meg ultra camera I see the support for that being unrealistic ie 3d no one ever got that to work.
I am a fan of the hardware and once again do not like physical buttons like coming on the GS4 . I am spoiled from my g nexus.
But am still torn between these two device one or gs4

I'm with you dude, i don't like the button layout either but compare to sgs4's design it's waaay better. And i prefer 5" display over the One's 4.7" but i hate Samsung's cheap plastic feel that's why i'm sticking with the HTC One.

Hey guys,
Last month i bought a new Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.
This tablet is great, but have no vanilla rom at all. I love OmniROM (been using it on another devices of my) and i'll be happy if you will develop a version for the Note 10.1 2014.
Thanks for your great work!

if it's exynos then forget it otherwise there may be a glimmer of hope.
As always, device support is heavily dependent on a maintainer expressing interest and picking up the device.
Note that after years of Samsung treating the aftermarket firmware development community like crap, quite a few former Samsung device maintainers have moved to greener pastures and have no interest whatsoever in returning to the pain and suffering that is working with a Samsung device.

Do you think that one day we'll get a Vanilla ROM?
TouchWiz working fine right now, but i'm sure that not for long.
And i love Vanilla.
Hey guys.
What's the best rom and kernel for the T815Y?
Thanks works. As in cellular also. The non Y roms don't have enough cellular. No big deal but just seeing what people have ever tried and what works. I'd love CM with multi window but I don't think it's going to happen. Haha.
Thanks in advance.

I've been looking for a Touchwiz Rom to for the same phone
It appears nobody will make a ROM for our dear S2 815Y... I wish I could do it myself!
Feels weird having a phone/tablet with no rom, unreal
Official Android 7 is finally out for our beloved Tablet.

Hi Developers,
First of all, thanks for all your hard working to provide so many high valuable Roms to Nexus 6.
Now that Miui has released the new MM branch for patchrom project, I'm wondering if anyone is going to port this to Nexus 6 so that we can have more choices to make our life colorful?
Thanks in advance!
I am in
I hope not. Nougat is on the horizon so why work on porting Marshmallow ROMs over when we already have plenty of stable choices available? Also this is just an opinion, but I think the majority of Nexus users specifically will agree with me: AOSP/CM based ROMs are superior to MIUI.
Its in the works. We have a couple threads about this already and even a half ported miui 7 build that flashes but doesn't boot.

There maybe someone that does it but like with most nexus devices don't expect much. Miui is openly hated by the nexus developers.
Your best bet is if you want it then follow the guide and try to make it happen. I'll wish you luck as you will need it.
