[REQUEST] Stock 4.1.2 Browser - Motorola Atrix HD

Hello, I'm using the Mexican Retail ROM with the Unlocked Bootloader, but the problem is that the ROM doesn't have the Stock Browser, instead, it only has Chrome, I tried to install the Stock Browser from CM10 port and CM10.1 for the MB886, but i'm getting FCs, yeah, I've installed them on /system/app and fixed permissions, but still nothing, does anyone have a compatible AOSP Browser that can be installed on the Retail Mexican 4.1.2? I haven't tried the Stock 4.1.1 Browser from the ATT ROM because I don't have it... but it could work? Thanks

Also interested. I'm on ICS, post it here so I can try it.

You are probably missing some lib or framework files...let me see if i can pull them out...

unzip
try this

Copied it to system/apps, doesnt show up in drawer.
Tried to install it, said install failed.

[ROOT]The FLASHABLE zip file for ROOTing Atrix 2.3.4 HKTW

Hi, after test for some times, i made the flashable root package for 2.3.4 (That the device has flash the leaked HKTW 2.3.4 and unlocked the device)
NOTE:
Unlocked Atrix 4G with HKTW 2.3.4
Please flash the CWM recovery first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138541
You should have a external sd card in your device, because the recovery cann't recognize the internal card
DOWNLOAD:
PLEASE download from the attachment, I'm really sorry that my site was down.
I think all of you know how to flash zip from recovery, so I'll not give hint about this, LOL

You can flash the official sbf file to restore to origin, like the 1.2.6 sbf

Yeah I think alot of people make that mistake. That's why when people ask I always say make sure to grab the "full" sbf not the service!
Thanks for the zip root method! Much appreciated!
Uses this and trying to flash with the newest CW build that is available with no avail.
Keeps being unable to mount SDcard ...
Will have to try the other way to do this for now but thank you for the work.
Worked perfect. Thanks

now waht???
i HATE when pple leave out basic info, i got school work, i cant remember EVERYTHING EVERYTIME.
Hey, so, I ran into a slight problem.. It doesnt actually root the phone... Or so I've found. What happened to me is it worked perfectly, flashed via new cwm nicely, and I had SU in app drawer. I then decided to try and restore my apps via TB, and it doesnt let me batch anything, see anything, etc. It's like I don't have root. Then I tried getting root explorer and it FC's on opening the app. WTF?

This is because you didn't read my post carefully. You should have a EXTERNAL SDCARD in your device first! Because the recovery cann't mount the internal sdcard.

There is another way to check whether the root of your device work or not.
Run cmd in Windows or terminal in Linux.
execute the following cmd:
Code:
adb shell
su -
After you input the "su -" cmd, you should have a dialog to allow root access in your device. I.e, the root works. Otherwise, it doesn't work.
BTW, does your device unlocked and flash the HKTW android 2.3.4 rom?

TOO bad, the zip file should be flashed as the normal way to flash rom.
GOTO recovery then choose this zip file to flash.
BTW, you should copy the zip file to the external sdcard first!

New Market 3.0.26

I found this new market, and after trying to install it on my g1 with cm6 it didn't install. Has anyone gotten it to install? Do we need to convert the hdpi graphics to mdpi to get it to work, or do graphics not affect whether or not an installation is successful?
This download worked fine on my NC once I added the ".apk" to the end of the filename, so I know this download works. I mention this fact because there is another download for the new android market that is corrupt.

It has mdpi images in it to, it might require gingerbread though, I dont have ginger on my g1 so I can't say it works on it or not. Try pushing the new market to /system/app and see if anything changes. It might fc if it's not compat with froyo.
im using it on the COS rom
I use it with Froyo by Laszlo. Installed fine with just executing the apk-file from the phone.
I installed it

Or adb install lol
I'm running COS-DS Rom and simply uploaded the apk file to my Dropbox account from my PC. Opened dropbox on my G1 and downloaded the file. It then prompted me to install the file. Very easy.
does anyone know if i can integrate this new market into a rom, so when you flash it for first time the new market comes stock?

Voice Dialer APK for 4.2.2?

I have SlimBean and I really don't want reinstall just for the voice dialer. However, the 'VoiceDialer.apk's I can find are for ICS and don't work with my BT headset - "starting, failure."
Any for 4.2.2?
Why not just grab the .apk from the ROM's zip file?

I wiped my computer from the last time I flashed. It'd suck having to find the zip again and extract it just for a simple APK. I'll try and find it though, and put it here if someone needs it via Google.
(and as it turns out, appearantly slimbean doesn't ship VoiceDialer.)
So re-download the ROM and grab the apk

As it turns out, SlimBean doesn't come with VoiceDialer, so I can't extract the ROM.

Grab another ROM that's 4.2.2 that comes with VoiceDialer and extract it from that. Should work.
Hmmm, so I've found a 4.2.2 version, still the same thing: Initializing, then failure instantly. I've attached this if you need it though. (I also have some of the other stuff - Email/Exchange/MovieEditor/SoundRecorder/Terminal)

How are you installing it? That is, are you using the package installer or are you just copying it over to an app directory and rebooting? If you are doing the second approach, you need to chmod 755 the apk.
Sent from the wholly ROMin' empire. SGH-I897 CM10.1
Using the package installer.
I just went to SlimBean's website to download build 5..... There is a voice dialer addon package.

I heard you can extract them from the stock rom and push them back in /data/app then fix permission. Is that true? Just to know I dont really need them...

Yeah, you can always extract the missing apps apk and push it in system/app.
An advice: if you will push the apk from pc, you don't have to fix the permission; you have to fix it if you will copy it from sd to system/app directory.

[Q] Parse error help

Hello everyone,
I have a rooted Motorola Droid, running Android version 2.2. I downloaded a .APK file, and whenever I try to install it, it gives me a message saying "Parse error." This is a .APK that has worked on all my previous rooted phones, does anyone know how to fix this? By the way, I've already enabled unknown sources.

If you're installing from the SD Card using a file manager, maybe try redownloading. If the same apk installs on a later android version then it mean it's not available for Android 2.2.
You could try installing a custom rom. There's not many to choose from but they work.
