It uses some standard Qualcomm dac that comes built in with the chipset, can't remember the model number and such but it sounds great. Maybe not QUITE at Wolfson level but very comparable. Music sounds vibrant and punchy, and the bass is solid.
If I helped you out hit thanks

I've been using those earbuds for more then a year now. Sounds nice. Good noise isolation. No problem with it so far.
So far this is a decent ear phone, bass is not the strong but it is more suitable for playing games on PC
Im using Morey + which included with MIC. The MIC is usable when you are using the ear phone.
I bought a maroy + and its nice worth for the money

Hi all..
I was thinking to buy the xperia tx..I was just curious about what audio DAC is present in it?
How would it fare against my S2 in sound quality?
Any help would be appreciated! !

Qualcomm DAC

Indeed, the DAC for phones that use a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (and maybe other Qualcomm processors) use a DAC that's built into the the CPU. The Snapdragon S4 DAC seems to have a pretty good reputation for sound quality.
hi.
thanks for the information...
i also wanted to know that how would it fare against the yamaha audio chip in the galaxy S2?
i've sold my galaxy s2 and ordered an xperia tx which i would get in 2-3 days..but i was really concerned about the audio output from the tx.
my S2 sounded bad by default and i had to tweak it a lot..
any help will be much appreciated..
Can anyone give a comparison? I'm planning on switching

I just came from a Note 2 and I honestly have to give the edge without question to the One. Headphone and speaker quality/loudness, they nailed it.
Even with the voodoo sound / boeffla sound support? I'm talking about the headphone jack and not the speakers btw

You'll get a lot of crazy opinions on this since so much depends on the headphones you use, personally I thought it was much better than the gnote 2 but I also changed earbuds when I changed phones... I'll bet any store with demo units will let you plug in your headphones to each and compare any phones you want.
Yeah too many factors lol, loving the sound quality on my note 2 and I sure do not wanna get a new phone and feel bad about it afterwards. Are there a lot of optimizations going on with the kernels and roms for the one?

Im curious as to what will improve on the htc one when its running 4.4, except for the faster multitasking what other enhancements do we get? Seems like the good stuff can only be achieved with a snapdragon 800 processor.
I read that demands less RAM. So old phones with only 512mb RAM can run 4.4 fine.

Yeah I read that as well that's why I'm now curious as to what improvements it would bring to phones that already have plenty of ram like ours.

The speakers. There's this new audio tunneling system that saves battery while keeping your music loud and clear.

Haha. What about the reports of poor audio quality on the Nexus 5? The HTC One already has excellent audio, and I would be wary of "improvements" coming from the Nexus line.
Haha good point!

Hi. Im really thinking about getting a z1. A thing wich is very important for me is quality in the sound via bluetooth. Use jaybird bluebuds x alot when im working out, so its important to have really good range, high enough volume and good sound. Have the boeffla kernel with excellent quality on s3.
So any thoughts about this?

I use Beats Wireless. I used to have s3...after I moved to Z1 I did not see any difference. But you know they say that Z1 doesn't have as good sound as s1 which was the best on galaxy family. For me the sound quality is OK, but not great.
Go to some mobile phones shop or carrier shop and just try if it is good enough for you...

I'm using the backbeat go 2 sound quality and volume are excellent for music and videos but somehow for gaming their is some microsecond delay....
But that's a android problem, BTW Bluetooth audio quality is better than my note 2...
