Just a clarifying question for tx users and support - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Does xperia tx usually maintain around 37-39degrees heating when used for browsing via wifi, facebook and viber on. Also, it starts heating cumulatively around 3-5 mins since starting searching or using.
By the way my phone can still manage to run heavy games (deadzone) without going over 40degrees at my room with room temp of 28degrees until its battery run out.
I just want to clarify whether my hardware has faulty or just functioning normally, cause if it has problem, I want to send it to sony shop before unlocking bootloader.
Thanks in advance.

39 degrees is absolutely normal. Don't worry until it gets above 40 or 42 degrees

yeah it common , if you play r browse the back side as well as the screen also become very hot, if install temp. app. it will show 50 oC may 60 o also some times
My device tends to heat up when I leave it on certain surfaces, like a mattress for example. It will overheat and shutdown automatically. Which is extremely annoying :/

Overheating

Okay, my phone easily overheats if I am charging and using facebook or browser with 3G same time. Also overheats when I am playing Pocket Legends when not charging. If I am charging my phone and Playing Pocket legends, it becomes really hot and just frozes and then reboot after i just unplug charger and leave it alone. This happens in less than 40 minutes. I have a battery app that shows battery temperature and sometimes it goes up to 78 degrees (celsius).
I use cm10 on my phone and never run over 3 apps same time because it causes overheat.
Is this normal for older phones? I have been thinking if I buy that Nexus 4 phone but that is soo expensive in Finland. I haven't overclocked or anything. Can you tell me how to fix this or do i need new phone?
Thanks

You can check with Bat Stat. It's a widget and work very well.
From my experience a mobile completely in idle should stay at 25/30°C, messaging and do some other light things up to 35°C and gaming 45°

Temperature change means that your CPU is working. That's why you use more battery. If you want to preserve your battery on a rooted phone you can use apps like "SetCPU" and set as max cpu speed 1016 MHz. This will not reduce drastically you phone speed but will help you to preserve more battery. When you want to play some game set the max value back to 1500 Mhz

Atm I was reading a book from Play Books and temp is 29. With my Note I had similar values.
The thing that is different between XZ and Note it's that XZ can't exchange hot cause it's waterproof and Note can do more effectively.
XZ has a front and back "glass" so it's more sensible about external temp.
Here in Italy summer it's coming and I'll expect about 30° CPU temp as normal

Yeah is normal it is a special feature Sony build in. That's foe the winter time to keep Ur hands warm when u use the phone. To bad they do not included a turn off switch for it.

Today I wanted to test how is the battery of this phone. I had unplugged from charger at 6.30 AM and connected to PC for 10 mins during the day. Now I have 33% remain and I went on YouTube, listened songs with Spotify (offline), SMS, FB, Twitter, Viber, Play Book: a normal daily use for me.
I have .253 fw and Doom Kernel with wheatley governor and cfq scheduler. 1026 MHz max - 192 MHz min. Juice Defender Ultimate for mobile data and WiFi always active when I am at home or at work.
About 18h without charge. For me it's an exceptional battery life. (when i hade Note I used to go with 3 more battery in the bag!)

[Q] Overheating, throttling, gaming performance

Since one month I am considering an upgrade of my good old SE Neo V. I mainly use it for gaming. After a deep research, and a lot of read I have narrowed my pick to 2 phones Xperia SP and Nexus 4. Both devices have Adreno 320 and similar price level which is vital for me. Since the overheating, throttling, gaming performance on N4 is quite well described over the web the problem seems to be the lack of similar information over XSP. I would like to kindly ask you for help with running few stress tests (you can use app StabilityTest (ROOT optional) by intostudios) and posting those results here. Also if you have some expirience with gaming on you XSP please feel free to write something about it: is there any problem with 1GB of RAM while gaming, or with touch after the device is heavily used for 30-60 min (I know about the issue when XSP is on a flat surface), are all games available for XSP?
All this data should let me make the best choice about my future phone. Thanks in advance to everyone willing to post your results below :good:
No problems while gaming. Playing iron man 3 while charging heats it up. No running out of ram issues.

Would it be possible for you to do a Stability Test to see how much CPU clock is decreassing during full load?

Stress test will only end when your phone crashes. It is used to test for stability after overclocking etc.
If it doesn't crash after 30 mins then you can end it.

Seriously what's the problem? Nobody is going to keep testing the phone for you.
If 5 hours is not enough I don't know what is.
I just wanted to see how much juice the cores loose after heating up. It is an important data for me thats why I am asking for it here in xda.
@jasonwsc it's not just for me maybe someoneelse would like to know this data

install cool tool from Google Play and watch the load of CPU,maybe some app is heating your phone
Most of the heat is from de module for internet, it needs a nuclear power central to keep it running, and that is creating the heat.

The xperia t has a overheat control process running at all times so and switches the phone off when it gets too hpt so as long as your phone is on it is fine. Sony xperia support said that to me

When i got my phone from the store it got so hot i was worried it was going to damage itself
after flashing other roms the problem fixed itself
iv noticed that i now have the app

im currently using timinators xperiment rom and its on here as well
Are you a long distance from your local cell service towers?
I noticed when I travelled that if I was far from the local towers the phone would work harder to maintain a connection and the battery would also drop very quickly. How many bars on your signal strength?
I have full signal at home and I was at home when it was overheating.
But at my grandmars I have to jump up and down at the window with one hand on my head, offering my phone to the sky to send a text message. it hasnt got any wamer since I flashed timin8rs xperiment rom. In fact it barly gets warm at all.... even when pushing the phone realy hard. The battery seems to be lasting a little longer as well
