[Q] Is there anyone using a Chinese Mobile 802T? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

and have a solution about how to root the device or have the version of Recovery?
I hate this modified device either, but this is the only one which support dual-SIM and a SD Card...

Umh, teorically you can unlock your phone with HTC_Dev and after flash a M7 recovery, you have to check this.
The problem that i think, is if you want to flash a custom kernel or an europe/american rom, this, because, you have two sim and (i think, but probably i'm right) this one have a differente kernel like our...

Tried but failed, I have unlocked my phone and flash a M7 Recovery but not work and now I'm using a phone without recovery.
Seems not only with M7, those modified phones all have different kernels. I also tried the 802W recovery but failed again. Maybe there won't be a solution?

With 802W recovery you can't boot into it?
Is TWRP or CWM?

you can see relative threads on gfan forum, there already is a permanent root solution
Unlocking the dual sim variant is the same as unlocking an international one.
May be much easier for me to reply in Chinese

You can use Chinese if allowed, of course.
Allright, now there is a root for 802T.

I have a 802T (China Mobile) and can't get it to recovery. Unlocking the bootloader was not an issue and flashing CWM recovery worked
also well, but when I try to boot in recovery mode it starts loading and then stops and boots regularly.
Ah, ok I guess I found the threads you were refering too, but since they're in Chinese I can't read a lot.
Is it possible to get instructions in English?
cheers
Luc

I am also on this step, unlocked no problem but has the same thing happen when I try to root it. My girlfriend can read Chinese but it's too hard for her to translate it to me because she isn't very tech savvy.

Htc one 802t rooting issue
Same problem. Got a china mobile Htc one 802t
Stuck with sad bloatware and no google play.
How do I root?

you can search for the solution here in One Q&A. I came across the same problem myself when flashing recovery.
I don't really recall how I got into recovery. Try this:
~Make sure quick boot mode of your phone is off
~Flash the recovery via fastboot command.
~after flashing the recovery, do
Code:
fastboot erase cache
in cmd
~reboot bootloader.
~Go to HBoot see if it shows "TAMPERED unlocked" on top of the screen. (if it does then you're to go).
~If HBoot shows no "TAMPERED", unplug your phone and do a factory reset in HBoot menu.
~after the phone boots up, shut it down
~Boot to HBoot by pressing power and Vol- , you should see "TAMPERED unlocked" (doesn't work for everyone)
~If not, see if this help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182792
read the replies carefully you should find the solution
Also, someone suggests that reboot bootloader a few more times you can eventually get "TAMPERED unlocked" and boot into recovery.
I DONT THINK ANY OF THE CUSTOM ROMS IN XDA IS WORKING ON 802T SO BE CAREFUL !

Hello
I just received my one double sim, hope I can put gapps, and use of Google account.
Did you try to install a market to install app?

802t root
Aha! Found this thread finally...
I've got the same problem, trying to root the 802t Chinese version. Has anyone found an easy to follow solution in English yet?

I'm in the same boat too. I have a 802d. I need another ROM.
So it seems that some owners flashed custom recovery.
For those who have problem to go in recovery, I've got the same on my HK version (which is M7_UL).
To solve this issue, I just keep flashing in fastboot (cmd line). The all-in-one tool was not working well for me. But at least it provides all what you need (adb and fastboot).
Very important: remove the "fastboot" option from the ROM Energy parameters. It's in the setting of Android, it's not the 'fastboot' we're talking about to flash. This cause problem to access recovery, even if the flash was ok. So make sure you find this option which is activated by default.
If someone can confirm he's done it. I will do on my wife's 802d and post step-by-step instructions.
Before flashing a ROM we need to have advices from dev. we have SD support, dual SIM, different base band...
We will loose some functions by flashing a UL ROM. We need to know which one first. We can also loose all the functions... I mean brick the phone!
There is no RUU yet available for 'non chinese reading people'. Take this into account before trying
Do someone has tried a backup/restore in recovery? Does it work?
I'm not a dev but I can understand questions or tests. I do not have the solution but will be very happy to get info from my phone for people who have the knowledge I'm missing

Hi, could you paste some links to this forum?
I'm used to read Chinese website with chrome translate.
it's good enough to find what I need I think.
But you mean at least that I can flash CWM on the 802d the same way I've done on my 801s (HK)?
It's safe and after I can boot the original ROM again? I know it will also reset the phone and delete all data.
I know it's exactly what you write but I prefer double check. My wife will kill me if I brick her new phone...
On the Chinese forum they are using Chinese custom ROMs with baidu apps, weibo... or something more 'google'?
For example in the 'stream' (the main page) of sense 5 she has only news of China in Chinese! On my phone (the same in fact), I have the french news... She complains

This is a Rom with permanent root that works on 802d/w/t , there's a special Recovery for Mainland China variants provided in the thread.
Here's the hidden download link of the rom in case you have trouble registering:
http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=581602&uk=3660368359
I read the instruction, the rom comes with removable bloatware of Chinese carrier and promotion apps from the Rom builder. And aroma has been removed in order to solve the freezing problem.
as for the news*sources, I don't know. Some said they flashed the rom and get foreign sources, some said they get local sources with the very rom.
Still, I must WARN you I'm NOT a Chinese variant user and have no experience on rooting or flashing roms on one. It's your own risk.
Read the instruction carefully!!

Rooted vanilla ROM
wow, this sounds promising! Thank you for that~~
The next question I have is, if I don't want a custom rom, I just want to use the original rom but rooted, can I still just install the regular superuser.zip once i've installed this custom recovery?
Wouldn't that work?

Ok, we can thanks 人云奕云
I've downloaded the recovery and the custom ROM. he's right, easy to translate a forum but going through registration...
I've seen that they are also following xda as a lot here are using imported versions. I will not be surprized to find a port from UL version soon.
When I check the apps in the ROM zip, i can see many google apps, sounds good.
Do not be too happy for now. Nothing says that the ROM is what we expect. But at least it will root our phone and open it a little bit.
I will give it a try when I can get my wife's phone.
Recovery and boot (+required adb and fastboot) can be downloaded from here:
XXXpan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=581597&uk=3660368359#dir
(remove XXX and paste the link)
Be carefull you need to choose the good file. For recovery it's easy (d/t/w), for boot you need to use google translate:
When you download the files you may not be able to see chinese characters.
nb: I don't understand why there is a boot.img to flash. Be carefull for now.
For me: the order is the same as on the site. So download accordingly.
1st: 移动版一键刷入 = china mobile (802t)
2nd: 联通版一键刷入 = china unicom (802w)
3rd: 电信版一键刷入 = china telecom (802d)

For me yes.
In the zip of the ROM I have there is Superuser.apk in system apps folder.
I imagine you can try (Nandroid backup first!).
If the zip just put the apk in system/app it can work. But I have no idea if the paths/partition for this folder are the same between the models, I'm not a dev at all.
On the Chinese forum they refer to this thread as support: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182792
Follow it to unlock via HTCdev but flash the specific recovery files (and boot?), not the one on xda.

Yes, you can find the Play Store in baidu apps.
But on my phone it just open then close directly. Maybe you need to install additional things. The worst for me is the "blink feed" only for China and only in Chinese, you can go around the lack of Play store by downloading apks directly.
Even the web Play Store does not work. My one is recognized as a 'samsung something' and when I click on Install, nothing happens. But I'm in China, so maybe out of mainland it's different (no great firewall).
try and report please.
you can also try to unlock the phone and flash the Gapps.

I can confirm that superuser installs and works perfectly (so far!) on the 802t. The modified CWM recovery from the chinese forum works great, and allows us to get into recovery mode.
Phone is rooted finally,
Tested with Titanium Backup~~
Thanks everyone! :good:

That's good news!
I just finished to change the apps in the Chinese custom ROM (I used the one from mike1986's ROM).
I will test it tonight.

Ok, that's straight forward:
0/ download the required tools: use All-in-One tool in the sticky of HTC One section at xda.
BE CAREFULL: do not use the recovery provided, it's just to avoid downloading the Android SDK!
1/ unlock your phone using HTCdev website.
You need to register in order to get your unlock file.
Unlock your phone with fastboot. Just follow HTCDev instruction.
2/ install the recovery you find on the Chinese website.
BE CAREFULL: One recovery per type (802d/t/w)
I've done:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (rename the one you download accordingly)
fastboot erase cache
Switch off/on the phone.
3/ download the ROM from Chinese website.
This ROM is from XiaoXiang8002. I didn't ask permission to put his ROM here. I can't communicate in Chinese. Anyway, thanks to him!
Before flashing I changed some apk I took in mike1986's ROM (xda dev section for dwnld)
nb: on first attempt I swapped too much apps... com.android.phone keeps FC.
4/ push the ROM on the internal storage (not external SD)
5/ boot in recovery (it's touch version), and flash the ROM:
flash
factory reset
wipe cache
reboot
enjoy...

Ok, 2nd attempt was good. But I don't have the "blink feed" I want.
Anyone knows how I can change this? Which apk manage it?
For the rest, I have google account, flickr... but no Play Store, only HTC. Let's flash Gapps... does not work.
Same question with Play Store. Which apk? no more vending.apk in system apps...
I do not deserve a beer but do not hesitate to click thanks button

Of course
The problem was that I only had unlocked bootloader.
Forgot to root the phone in order to install other roms.
Today with more time checked a few forums and see the missing actions.
Installed TWRP 2.5.0.0 and after that installed Superuser.
after all that is done just paste the ROM (European Unbranded) to the phone; entered bootloader mode, recovery, wipe all data and after that install this rom.
All went fine for now.
Sounds like you just installed a rom zip in recovery and not actually flash an RUU.
A RUU, or Rom Update Utility, is a self extracting stock software package, a lot of times including complete images (with radio, etc) that wipe data or patches.

[MOD] SIM UNLOCK for 4.3

I figured I would post this in a new thread so those who have abandoned hope will see it lol. The attached zip contains a HtcOMADM_SPCS from the 4.3 update with modified code and files to allow access to the API menu, and not cause vDM client crashes. I do not have a GSM sim yet, so I can't test to see if it actually unlocks the sim.
ONLY FOR DEODEXED ROMS
Flash in recovery and follow the steps here.
I see this has been thanked several times now...can anyone confirm it works?
i just have received my htc one ! I unlock & root it, and i'll try. Maybe tomorrow or next weekend
edit : so i've htcdev unlocked, installed twrp, and i'm installing insertcoin with modified files from the other subject just to see if it works, and if not i will try with your apks
It works with your apk !!! Thanks !! 3g speed in France with bad esn Sprint HTC one = working
Ive flashed your zip ,and i ran the app
worked, thanks

Worked perfectly to unlock my HTC One,
tested with a Mexican sim (Telcel) and it worked.
Thank you.
Tried it on my Sprint running Viper One 3.5
At first, the Simunlock helper app didn't want to run because it claimed I wasn't running a Sense ROM, but ViperOne IS a sense rom.
I clicked on something else and tried to open the log file but it wasn't there, and when I pressed the back button, viola, it showed me the main screen, with Root, Sense, and Sprint all verified and green. It opened the hidden menu system, and I was able to press sim lock at the bottom of the list and it appeared to work. I haven't got a SIM card to try though, so I'll have to update this post later with a verified yes or no.

What have you tried??
Anyway, these are the steps I followed.
1.- Unlock bootloader (I did it with the htc dev account).
2.- Install custom recovery (I used TWRP).
3.- Install SuperSU (Be sure to have the latest version, it won't work otherwise).
4.- Flash the custom ROM "Stock with goodies" (It is referenced in the first posts of this thread).
5.- Flash the file provided in the first post of this thread.
6.- Unlock SIM via terminal emulator (The steps for this are also referenced in the first post).

Exactly which Custom Rom did you used for your HTC ONE?
If also could you please send me the apn data from telcel that worked for you? I'm trying to help a girlfriend here any help will be appreciated.
This is my first time attempting this so I apologize for my newbness. I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone. I loved the OP's zip file to the internal storeage of the phone, we to recovery and chose the install option in TWRP. Then I chose the zip file I placed on the internal storage and swipped to flash. It says sucessful but when the vDM client crashes every time still. Am I doing something wrong? The phone is stock rom on 4.3.

Help me please, Moto G 2014 xt1072, easy-peasy

Hello everybody,
I have a Moto G xt1072, 2014 I suppose. I can't use it since I made a factory reset. Before I had deleted the system app which launches at the very start and configures the language, and other user preferences.
I think the most easy way is to copy and paste that app, however I do not know to do it.
I can't install a ROM, because first I do not know how to do it, second the bootloader is locked, thirdly I do not dare to go there without hesitation.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
What happens if you erase the Data Partition in the Stock Recovery??
And don't wonder, the Moto G2 hangs since Android 6.0 in the Recovery when the Cache is erasing you can easy reboot after 1 minute.

Just flash the stock rom via fastboot, you can find tutorials here on xda.
Thanks for answering.
Could you please @zman01 give me a guidance? The fact is that I am not very skillful in this kind of troubles. In fact, I think the fastboot works when the device is unlocked, isn't it? My device is still locked... But really, if this is not as I think, tell me what to do, give me a useful link for beginners... please.
@inFiniTyz_Z could you lead me to a page where I could follow the instructions? Your solution seems very attractive to me. 1 minute : ) It would be great.

Hello,
On which android you were before you deleted the system app? Was it stock rom or custom rom? If it was a rooted stock rom I think you should flash the same stock rom via fastboot, if it was CM it's enough the flash the same CM zip from TWRP.

If you don't care about the Bootloader you can do this. But this is a little bit tricky, for OTA Updates I had to go on the first installed factory Android(4.4.4) and then do all Upgrades, but please do this not.
Since Marshmallow is released, everyone is going to brick their devices if they downgrade and then upgrade
And this was my failure too, I had to buy mainboard
Maybe you can do this, but you have to omit two commands(the Bootloader Flash Commands)
I am now again on CM 13, but I had done a Full Backup with the stock Recovery from Motorola. But this is the "Retail DE" Version for me.

Soft Brick Help Please!

Just got the phone. Came with Vendor ROM. Attempted the TWRP in main Guide section but it froze. Was advised by someone to flash the "Smarty" version of TWRP. That one had working touch so I thought it was good to go. I backed up the vendor ROM and went ahead and flashed EU Rom along with Super SU zip. It didn't go through properly and I was forced to long press power to restart.
I attached pictures of the failed TWRP dialogue and what happened after I tried to restart the phone. I really need some sound advice. I'm like super stressed over this big ass overpriced phone

Replied to your post in the other thread. Follow the steps in the guides EXACTLY as mentioned and you wont face any issues.
Since you're able to boot into fastboot mode, start from scratch and follow the steps. Hope this helps.

Agreed. If you can fastboot then all the files you need are available... You'll be fine, I know that stress, just take it slow and don't be in a hurry.
I come up in the same situation like your first picture every time I try to flash a new rom on my Mix. I had nandroid backed up everything though.
When TWRP stops after extraction I press power button and volume up to reboot at recovery. Then I restore my backup and MIX is working again.
I think don't do anything after flashing ROM till it says DONE should be added to guide. You moved to the next stage before ROM had finished installing. Would of thought that you should be able to boot to TWRP and just reflash, if not just follow guide to install TWRP.
Thank you guys for offering help. A kind user (forget his username but he has the thread Vendor to EU ROM) helped walk me through the process. Basically I had to use Xiaomi Flash to flash the Chinese firmware and then I was able to use TWRP and flash the EU rom.
Now my issue on the EU rom is that I can't get the Play Store to see that I'm in the US. Certain apps cannot be downloaded like Amex and Amazon shopping. If anyone have any ideas please share them.
I came here to instruct the same solution.
Only way to get EU flashed was to go back to Global Stable. After this TWRP could flash any ROM.
Glad you found it too.

Glad you got it up and running. I also had the play store issue so I installed the two apps that said were incompatible from the Amazon app store. It is not region locked.

That's a good idea!

no start after I clicked TWRP Fix Permissions

Hello,
I need advice, please. MOTO G2 (2014) XT1068
XT1068 unlocked>TWRP installed>TWRP Fix permissions clicked>now boot animation and goes into black screen (with backlight).
More detailed:
Last night I have unlocked my XT1068 and installed TWRP, no problem.
(following this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLSTDsFG1xw, citing https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/recovery-twrp-2-8-0-1-moto-g-2014-t2896165).
First deviation was I got TWRP from http://www.devfiles.co/download/4lhHC4Uv/TWRP_2.8.0.1_Titan_v2.img as I ran into an unavoidable sign-up trap following the cited url).
Second deviation was I chose to install SU offered by the TWRP app via Gplay, which was unsuccessful.
So I decided to go back and follow the instruction, using the provided "Update SU" file but found my Windows Explorer but it didn't give me access to internal memory or SD card. After short research, I found that XT1068 "developer options>USB configuration" toggling MTP to Charging only and back MTP helped https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/3nnkaa/cant_access_android_device_internal_storage_from/ as the Windows Explorer was able to access the XT1068 memory. (SD card was setup as internal memory).
I copied the file over, rebooted into TWRP but couldn't see the file. I remember having seen something like "unable to mount or access memory" in TWRP and remembered from XDA thread that permissions might be messed up. It was late, I jumped to a conclusion when I found the TWRP option "Fix permissions". I clicked it and have since the issue.
I can get into the menu which offers "recovery" and also get into TWRP
I have tried "Factory reset" but I am not sure what happens there, Motorola boot animation comes and then the black screen again (with backlight)
I think I have options but feel like in a minefield and better ask for what to do next.
Thank you
can you tell me you're bootloader version and on what android version you were when you messed up things? If your phone boots up to the bootloader i.e. the menu which allows you to enter recovery then you're having more than one options to fix this problem. But be careful this time. as this may brick your phone and it will be gone for good..
Read this XDA thread and do the steps carefully. This may restore your phone
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-stock-firmware-t3018682
Hi, I had the stock Marshmallow and bootloader is showing 48.86 (if that is actually the number). I was aiming to do a titanium backup and then probably try a custom ROM.
I will follow the steps in the link provided to get back to a known working state before trying a custom ROM but I really like to understand what went wrong and in what state the phone now is. I don't think my deviations where a bad choice but clicking "Fix permissions" obviously was. I like to learn from mistakes.
Thanks for helping me out.
Ok, read the guide and am uncertain which firmware is the correct one for New Zealand (the thread is full of confusion about the versions). I am waiting for a reply there and asking here if I could from this point also try to flash a custom rom via TWRP? Or better back to a working condition before doing this? Thanks.

Umm.. About the firmware version of the stock ROM, you can search google for it. And as far as your question about trying a custom ROM, you can try whichever ROM you want (except Ubuntu Touch, it's installation methods are too confusing). Just download the ROM in .zip file and download "Google Apps (GApps)", I prefer open gapps and install the rom via TWRP.
Wipe out these paritions in TWRP > Wipe > Advanced Wipe:
Dalvik/ART cache
Cache
Data
System
Also before installing any custom ROM read the steps plus read user comments before flashing anything
P.S. make sure your TWRP is latest. For TITAN it is TWRP-3.2.0-0

Yes, thanks.
I have flashed ROM's successfully before on Galaxy S3 and Tab 2 and used gapps via TWRP.
I have tried Google for the correct version but find myself turning in circles, most-likely my limited search term knowledge.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MotoG/comments/4bgg02/info_all_moto_g_codenames_models_variants/ shows "XT1068 : Latin America/EU/UK/Asia/Australia/Germany/Brazil/India, Dual SIM" and the listed ROMs named XT1068_TITAN_RET ...(BR for Brazil?) (LA for Latin America?) (DSDS for India?) (GB for UK?) (DE for Germany?) then what? Some are obvious others are what I have read through various comments, DSDS may even be for (EU/INDIAN/GLOBAL), I have not been able to find a really good page explaining this.
You did not answer my last question directly but given that you stated how to flash a ROM and what to wipe, I assume you mean that I could alternatively install a custom ROM at this stage. (Which is what I had planned originally).
Still, would be nice to know the correct firmware version and also why clicking "Fix permission" turned things into custard.
Thanks.

Yeah, I´ve seen in the post of @karteileiche that link: http://www.devfiles.co/download/4lhHC4Uv/TWRP_2.8.0.1_Titan_v2.img. That recovery is outdated and not from the original source. Maybe that´s the reason why things get messed up.
Downlad latest TWRP always from this site if you don´t need something unoffical for your device: https://dl.twrp.me/
For titan this would be: https://twrp.me/motorola/motorolamotog2014.html
About installation of custom roms: When you check any thread of custom roms you´ll find in the OP what to wipe and what to use.
And imho it would be better to first flash the actual recovery before flashing any custom rom.
Valid point, thanks for reminding me and providing the link.

Yess, you can try installing custom rom and see if that works.. otherwise flashing stock rom will also be an option for you.
Fixed
Resolved by using the latest TWRP version and a clean flash of a custom ROM.
Thank you Wolfcity :good:
