Are you going in S/W upgrade mode for NVFlash? Thats wrong. You have to to in APX mode for NVFlash. SW Upgrade mode is for SmartFlash, not applicable here.
Check my current signature to find how to go in APX mode and install APX drivers. Screen is blank(looks like switched off) when you go in APX mode.

and another mistery????
how come you can post in dev section with only 3 posts?
look at his date of join.It is hard to believe his no. of posts in that amount of time.
Confirmed working.
Side info: had problems with recovery driver , I needed to reinstall drivers and then when connected to pc I needed to run true all the usb connection options like , charging only , mass storage , tethering ,... this way it started to install all different drivers.
I received ICS update today when connecting to the LG update tool , it said a update was available and warned me to remove external SD while it was going to update to ICS.
Removed the external and started the update , (V30a android 4.0.4 was what I received) , Then I reconnected the phone and it installed PC sync for ICS and blablabla.....
I gotta say it is really smooth.
Anyone could say how long to wait until its save to stop the Nvflash?
Its now over 1-2 hour and seems not to happen anything anymore.
And i did that nvflashing often before. The driver is the same as last time.
No problems in device manager. Its an XP Laptop without any Antivirus or Firewall.
I had the latest rooted nvflash version on my LG P990 before that.
In the CMD window it tells only Nvflash started and the Display shows:
"S/W Upgrade Please wait while upgrading".
Never had that before and i am a bit nervous to kill it
But i think i read somewhere i can do it again also if i stoped it.
---edit---
Ok i stoped and redid it. Also made wipe with cwm.
But this flash isnt working for me.
I get:
"failed executing command 14 NvError 0x120000
command failure: partition download failed"
I tryed to give it an external SD, full wipe and cache wipe. Nothing.
Error stay BUT only with this flash offert here.
I had a backup flash of 20L and that could be flashed without any problem.
I had adroid 2.3.4
1035.21_20110725
kernel 2.6.32.5
===FINAL EDIT===
Going back to official 2.2.2 changed nothing! This "easy way didnt work for my P990
Solution:
Smartflash worked fine!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028946
Bin+FLS flash
Rooting
As mentioned Solution 1 here didnt work at all. Cant say why.
I tryed really a lot and spent to much time on that topic.
Wasnt as easy as before on 2.x.x...and none of the 3 Solutions worked for me!
But a combination works fine.
The Solution 3 didnt work for me.
"=3= (thanks to joiN85)" didnt work...got a boot loop ((
Solution 2 "=2= (thanks to RobYyY)" worked half...
but i had to use the "Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed-tradotto.zip"
on an external sd and not the SuperSU Root.zip.
Finally a hint that i is very important:
Dont forget to set the correct Date and Time or google will
Display a connection error.
Great work and sooooo fast... I wanne say thank you for everyone
who made it possible. Good work!

[Q] SD permission denied during CWM installation

Hi all,
I've not enough messages to post directly in development forums.
I've just installed the stock ICS v30a via Smartflash (from GB) and rooted via XDA method but now I'm not able to flash the CWM (usually, an easy step). I'm trying to flash the 5.0.2.8 version normally or via the new AIO ToolKit but I get the following error (see also attachment) -->
"failed to copy 'ICS-cwm-5.0.2.8e.img' to '/data/local/ICS-cwm-5.0.2.8e.img': permission denied "
"/data/local/ICS-cwm-5.0.2.8e.img: cannot be open for read: No such file or directory"
"rm failed for /data/local/ICS-cwm-5.0.2.8e.img: No such file or directory"
I've actvated the Debug option and tried to give the write permission to external_sd thru ES file manager (now I see the permission to write is activated to external SD but I'm still not able to flash the .bat)
What can I do? Now I cannot move from ICS stock...
Thanks.
Mario
You can nvflash stock based rom...
And smartflash mode and nvflash mode requires device in their special mode. From your post i suppose you tried it on turned on device on android.
To sum up.
To use nvflash:
Plug cable to phone without battery pressing vol - and +
To use smartflash :
Plug cable to phone with/without battery (depending on phone and software.. On gb smartflash was working with battery, on ICS wi hour...) and pressing vol - or vol + (i dont remember)
Good luck.
And if you have question like in your title, there's place for such things in O2X forum. Don't you see?

I am having the same problem..
The toolkit specifcally instructed us to enable USB debugging so I am guessing it has nth to do with nvflash and smartflash?
Now I am stuck with the stock rom.. Really frustrated
P.S. I am using Windows 8, not sure if it is related..

I'd solved installing Topogigi v28g (which includes the new bootloader, root and CWM) and then DM X1.0 (now 1.1 ).
In the meantime also the AIO Toolkit has been done...

Cant root, connect to Odin

Hi Guys,
i got a huge Problem with my GT - 9305.
I already saved my IMEI etc and now i want to root my phone but I got a problem.
I done everything said in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32235061&postcount=1 BUT:
Everytime I go in downloade mode and want to start Odin this happens ( see attachments )
My Phone wont reboot while I press start, it still says: Downloading ... and nothing happens.
I have installed latest Kies + Drivers, sometimes Kies find the GT-9305 and sometimes not, then i have to reinstall the Drivers.
I have selected MTP + ADB
Android 4.1.1
XXALI7
Buildnummer: JRO03C.I9305XXALI7
make sure Kies is not running when you do it
Root your phone with One Click
Hey, I've got an unlocked i9305 with Optus in Australia.
I rooted my i9305 weeks ago, just a simple software with one click, nothing to do with Odin.
I don't know why there's hardly such tool in the xda and many english-based forum, try this link:
http://sj.qq.com/root [Probably you don't understand Chinese language, google-translate the webpage]
Things you need to do:
1.A Windows-based PC
2.Download the tool from the link
3.Have kies installed (Or you can install the phone driver alone)
4.Enable usb-debug in development option on your i9305
5.BACK UP!
6.Connect your phone with a cable to your PC
7.Use the tool, ONE Click, root your phone successfully
8.After rooting you'll probably find a superuser app in Chinese, don't worry
9.Go downloading the Superuser app in play-store, it can help you to switch to the new SU app.
10.Done!

[Q] How To Root Bell Sony Xperia T LT30a W/LB Using FW/9.2.A.0.295

To Whom It May Concern...
Yesterday, I updated my Bell Sony Xperia T LT30a W/LB using FW/9.2.A.0.295. This update removed my Root Access. I haven't been successful using Bin4ry v33 to restore my Root Access.
Please provide me with step by step instructions on how to ReRoot my subject phone/firmware. Currently I have very limited App access since I was using Link2SD and without Root almost all my Apps are missing
Appreciated...Rasher0123
currently the only way to have root on 4.3 is to downgrade to 4.1, then root, flash CWM for LB then upgrade with one of the packages in the development section that has root pre-installed.
If you have an UB then you need to unlock it and flash one of the stock kernels with CWM
4.3 vs 4.1
Matt...
Thanks for your response
I was rooted before I updated my firmware to 9.2.A.0.295. Did the firmware upgrade me from 4.1>4.3 as well because I thought I was 4.3 before?
Previously I was able to achieve root by using Bin4ry v31 however since I upgraded the firmware I've lost root access and Bin4ry v33 doesn't seem to be working to restore it, I have also tried DooMLoRD v18, Kingo Root & SuperOneClick.
Are you familiar with any of the above Bin4ry, DooMLoRD, Kingo Root & SuperOneClick?
I am an avid computer user however I don't understand some of the terms and abbreviations you provided below such as LB and UB as I am new to phone mods
Any further help you could provide or others could provide would be greatly appreciated...in the simplest of terms
Thanks...Rasher0123

Rasher0123, you would have been rooted on Jellybean 4.1.2 before. The Xperia T's have only recently officially got JB 4.3 with this 9.2.A.0.295 update that started to roll out last month.

As someone new to phone mods a good place to start is the All in One Thread that's at the top of this Q&A forum.
I managed to keep root with an Over-The-Air update from JB 4.1.2 (FW: 9.1.A.1.141) to JB 4.3 (FW: 9.2.A.1.199) following this thread, so you could give that a try. Whether you go by Matt's advise or follow the method in the thread I've linked, I believe downgrading to JB 4.1 using flashtool will wipe your settings so make sure to backup beforehand.
Flashmode
BarneyJ & Matt...
I am trying to use Sony Mobile Flasher by Androxyde and downgrade from 9.2.A.0.295 to 9.1.A.1.141 but after Preparing Files For Flashing I can't get past the Wait For Flashmode pop-up. I unplug my Sony Xperia T from the USB cable attached to my computer. I power off my Sony Xperia T. I then hold the volume down and immediately or a second or so later replug my Sony Xperia T to the USB cable attached to my computer however NOTHING happens. This is driving me nuts! I've been trying almost all day to no avail. Please help

You surely don't know what are good manners, so you don't even deserve a time that someone could spend on you.
My apologies if my comment appeared rude
I didn't intend for my comment to be rude, I honestly was just asking if I needed to know that. I am a new user to phone mods and have spent over the last 24hrs trying to overcome many roadblocks

Firsr of all don't use CWM v9 it has bugs, try v8.
Before you start terminal open Win Task manager and close all adb processes and try again.

Thanks for the advice of using CWM v8 instead of v9
I've been reading this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865245 but I'm very confused by 'Step 2.
Unzip the file you chose (cwmod_internal.zip OR cwmod_microsd.zip) to the root folder on the storage option of your choice.
So, for example, if the storage option you chose has the drive letter “F:” assigned to it when hooked up to your computer, you would want it to look something like this…
A folder located at “F:\recovery”
A file located at “F:\update.zip”;
Does that mean I unzip it to my phone directly? Any walkthrough you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am so frustrated and confused, I haven't had anything go straightforward in this whole process that has taken me over 24hrs.

Just use the installer of v9 (with .bat file) and replace recovery.zip with older version.
CWM Installation
I am stuck...
So I've successfully downgraded my device from 4.3 > 4.1.2 and I've successfully Rooted my device using Kingo Root. Now I am trying to install CWM but I don't know how to do it even though I've read MANY posts and watched several videos. HELP PLEASE how can I install CWM? I really need a step by step walkthrough with files attached PLEASE I don't know how to do it and even though I've tried non of the files I've found seem to work......I am running a Bell Sony Xperia T LT30a on 4.1.2 with Locked Bootloader (not unlockable)

Older versions can be found here.
And on the right side if page find link to download v8 installer (the first with mark v8), and unpack folder from zip.
Enable USB debugging on phone (developer options) and connect booted phone.
From unpacked folder run install.bat and Grant superuser access when prompt.
Boot Into Recovery?
I downloaded the file CWM4XperiaT_v8i_JB and installed it
https://www.dropbox.com/s/903lf9pzwfq8enz/CWM4XperiaT_v8i_JB.jpg
It appears to have worked but I don't know how to test it and I can't seem to boot into recovery. I've tried by having the phone disconnected from the computer, shutting down the phone and then once shut down holding the volume up button and pushing power. It just regular boots. I have also tried When SONY logo appears: On Xperia T/TL/TX press repeatedly (not holding) volume-down button until the phone vibrates. The phone does not vibrate and just regular boots. I've also tried a program from Google Play Store called Quick Boot which I selected Recovery within the program and the phone reboots but again just regular boots.
More suggestions please?
