[Q] Default SMS App, Timestamps are Wrong - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Let's say somebody sends a text message that requires three text messages to go through. They're all sent at 12:05 PM. I receive the first at 12:05 PM, and reply right away at 12:06 PM, and I don't receive the second or third until, say, 12:07 PM. All of the timestamps on the received messages will say 12:05 PM, which is correct. However, the text message I sent will be in between their three part text message, so it'll look something like this:
Them - 12:05 PM - (1/3) Their message goes here...
Me - 12:06 PM - My message is here
Them - 12:05 PM - (2/3) ...their message continues here...
Them - 12:05 PM - (3/3) ...and their message finally ends here.
On my previous phone, the HTC Evo 3D, it wouldn't do this, it would correctly order them.
If I use a third party SMS app, such as Chomp SMS, the ordering is correct. Is there any way to fix this without rooting?
Thanks!

Nope, didn't work . I'm almost positive it's just the SMS app that HTC included.

try with this app mate

Doesn't help. That app looks like it's designed for something else anyway, and what I need is to re-arrange the SMS messages in each thread. If someone sends me two text messages back to back, say both are sent at 12:05 PM THEIR time, but I only receive one at 12:05 PM, and I reply at 12:06 PM, and I don't receive their second message until 12:07 PM due to delay, but order of text messages will be him, me, him. The timestamps, however, are correct and show 12:05 PM, 12:06 PM, 12:05 PM.

Galaxy S Deleting Messages

Whenever I send a text, or receive one, it will delete the last sent/received from that contact. For example:
I send Alex a text, it deletes the last message I sent to her
I receive a text from Alex, it deletes the last message I received from her
This keeps happening, and is becoming quite annoying now. I will only ever have one sent or received message in my inbox from a given contact at any given time, and I like to save my messages.
Any ideas without a hard reset/flash?
Thanks

Hmmm, strange have you unticked delete old messages in text options? Are your using standard text app or downloaded one?

In your messages go to options and check if "delete old messages" in active.

[Q] Cell Broadcast / Emergency Alert settings for AT&T

I'm using a developer edition HTC One on AT&T running the TrickDroid ROM. Under Settings > Call, Cell Broadcast is enabled, however I do not have any channels listed. I did not receive an amber alert that went out last night and it got me curious.
Does anyone know what the channel settings are for Cell Broadcast on AT&T?
I don't own an HTC One but I am on AT&T and I've been wondering about this too. I can't find a list anywhere online, so I'm wondering if AT&T participates in cell broadcasting. Did you contact them to find out more about it?

Actually, based on this AT&T support page, perhaps it's only available for select phones...

App frustration.

Hi everyone, I have made an app, its a text reply app, whats happening though is when i receive a text over 160 character, it gets split into two text messages and my app will read the text messages as two different messages but I need it to read it as 1 message not 2 separate messages, I have been pulling my hair I have no idea on how to modify my app to first combine the two text messages when they split, then read the text message and then reply as needed.
If its under 160 character the app works flawlessly, I really really just need someone who knows what there doing to please help modify my app. If you can please just reply here and i will PM you a link to either the apk or the folder with all the coding files ect.

"Group Messaging" option missing

I have a P10 that was originally branded to a Canadian provider (VTR-L09C557B312) and the "Group messaging" option from the "Messaging App -> More -> Setttings -> Advanced" menu. I assumed that this option missing was a result of the branding so I rebranded the phone to VTR-L29C432B179 in the hopes that this brand would have the option (while also getting access to the Dual Sim functionality that was missing).
The rebrand was successful, but unfortunately the "Group Messaging" option is still missing. I realize there are other apps (Textra, etc) but the group messaging didn't work with those either.
I have an Honor 8 (FRD-L04C567B389) that has the option and it works perfectly. Does anyone have the group messaging option on their phone? If so, what Build number are you running?
Don't know if it's exactly what you mean, but there is an option to choose multiple contacts.
Start a new message and in the right top corner tap the contact icon. Then you can select multiple contacts.

Thanx for the reply but that's not actually what I'm referring to.
In the default messaging app, under the More -> Setttings -> Advanced" menu there is a "Group Messaging" option (see attached image1). Under this option there are two settings to choose from (see attached image2). The first option is "Send SMS to all recipients, and receive individual replies (group SMS)". This option is the default behavior for the phone. The second option is "Send MMS to all recipients (group MMS). This is the option I would like to set. The group MMS option keeps the messages from all participants in the conversation in a single thread. The default actions sends the messages individually to each person so all the replies are individual as well and not part of the group.
The attached screenshots are from my Huawei Honor 8. From reading online the menu option exists on various (all??) Huawei models (Honor, Mate, etc), but I haven't been able to find the option on the P10.
If u click icon top right u can choose a lot of send options

Sorry, which icon is that? The "person" icon? That allows me to add multiple people, choose groups etc. but doesn't allow me to send the message as a group MMS. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding which icon you're referring to?
Ok I gonna try send a group MMS the SMS can send to multiple contact

Really? Do you have the Group Messaging setting I mentioned in the original post? What build number is your phone running?
I've emailed Huawei support about the "Group Messaging" option and am waiting to hear back. Does anyone have this option? If not, does group MMS work for you?
Group messages solution
I faced same problem and solution is a app called Go SMS pro

I see your screen shot and Huawei tells me same thing to do but I don't have that option and I don't know what to do. I tried downloading different SMS apps but still messages are not send or receive in group. I can send and receive individual message. Please someone advice.
