Strange Bootloader Message - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Hey guys, since unlocking with HTC Dev site I've noticed a strange warning message on the HTC screen when my phone boots up.
This build is for development purposes only. Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission. Failure to comply may lead to legal action.

is this normal? I'm not sure if the message was there before unlocking or not, didn't pay attention.
In case it's not a normal thing to see here's the full HBOOT details:

Yeah when you use HTC's why of unlocking that's what happens. Nothing to worry about.

yea that's normal, when you unlock the phone, that's the normal popup warning.. my EVO LTE did the same.. cant wait for S-Off and RegawMOD Bootloader Customizer to get rid of that damn thing.. plus you can hide the **Tampered** logo on the bootloader.. makes the phone incognito, so if someone happens to just look at it, it looks like it is stock

Easiest way to Root my HTC Incredible 2/s

Hey Brand new to your site and I love it already. I have been looking around and there are some threads about rooting HTC incredible 2/s, it seems they are a little old. Does it still work properly or are there newer and better ways? Can someone send me a link with some instructions.
Thanks a bunch your guys are awesome!
:good:
Could you get us some more information about your phones situation? Turn your phone off, take the battery out, put it back in and turn your phone on by posting both volume down and power at the same time for about 4 secs
It should say something like "vivo ship s-on" and tell you your hboot version like 1.13.0000 or something.
That will determine what to do next welcome to the community

Since you have the new 2.02 hboot, you need to refer to this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1373697
Alternatively, if you're only doing it to delete apps why don't you go to settings -> apps -> select app and disable it? You don't need any root permissions for that

Here is a link to the video/tutorial I used to get s-off via revolutionary.

The procedure will be the same. Just cross check before doing it to be sure and confident.
By looking at revolutionary your hboot is able to be s-offed without any downgrade.
Good luck buddy
Thank you

Do I need the SIM in
I have a Straight Talk Sim I'm trying to get to use. I bought an unlocked sim code which unlocked the sim card holder. But the service is still not working? Should I put the SIM in while doing this root?
Does it reboot itself to fastboot? Its a white screen with coloured writing.
Maybe ask the inc2 guys if you can't get an answer here. Or Google

HTC One - Returning for repair... Worried...

Hi,
So my HTC One has microphone damage - When someone calls me, they can't hear anything I say unless I put the phone on speaker phone, or connect my hands free.
Called HTC who advised me that I need to send the phone into them for repair... Great...
I was S-OFF and Bootloader Unlocked - I'm now back to factory settings with regards to S-OFF and Bootloader - My Bootloader now says:
*** LOCKED ***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.55.0000
RADIO-4A.21.3263.04
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
OS-3.62.401.1
eMMC-BOOT 2048MB
Oct 17 2013, 23:06:14.0
Couple of questions...
My HBOOT & Radio version used to be:
HBOOT - 1.44.0000
RADIO - 4A.13.3231.27
Why has it changed? Will HTC notice that it's changed and refuse my repair?
Also, "Oct 17 2013, 23:06:14.0" - What does this mean? Why is the date October 2013? Not sure what this was previously.
Finally, my CID used to be H3G__001, but I changed it to HTC__001 so that I was able to install an RUU to return my device back to factory settings.
If I change this back to H3G__001, will my phone still boot up? Will HTC notice the CID changed? The "tick box" form I received from HTC to attach to my package when they pick my phone up for repair says "Problem Described: H3G-BOOK"... This is the reason I was alerted into thinking something about my CID that doesn't show H3G anymore...
Thanks for reading.
Anyone?
They're picking my phone up tomorrow you see
It's better you restore your original cid and mid before giving it to service.

[Q] Locked HTC One stuck at quietly brilliant.

Hi All,
I know there's a lot thread like this but my is different because I didn't even root or unlocked my phone. I haven't done anything to my phone. One day it decided to crash itself so I restarted my phone and now it's stuck at quietly brilliant.
Mine is locked phone and I didn't turn on my usb debugging mode so I couldn't get to my phone. I tried factory resetting, wiping memory or cache, recovering and everything I could find on the bootloader screen. But nothing worked at all. I don't know what to try now. It's still stuck even if I left it on at that screen for a day.
Please help!

problem you have is that in order to try and fix it yourself, as a first step you'll need to unlock bootloader.
if you do have some sort of hw problem with your device unlocking bootloader might cause you problems with warranty repair.
if it's stock, and you haven't been fiddling around with it, send it to HTC to fix. easy.

what you've got there is exactly how a stock device should look.
if you can connect to the device using adb, you can most likely unlock the bootloader.
once the bootloader is unlocked, you will be able to load a custom recovery and flash custom roms.
if your problem is a software one you might fix it by installing a custom rom, but if it's a hardware problem, HTC might just argue that you've voided your warranty by unlocking the bootloader. guess that's your call.

What can I do with my HTC ONE M7 "Test Device"? Cyanogenmod, GPE...

Hello.
I have just buy an HTC ONE M7 Blue, and I realised that when I get into "Settings-About" section I do not have "Update Software" so I cannot update my phone, I only see "Tell HTC and error reporting", and when I get into this section I see in red:
"Notwithstanding the above statement, this is a Test Device. ..."
So, my phone is a Test Device!!!
But, what can I do with this phone? I mean, now it is on:
4.4.3 Android Version
HTC Sense version 6.0
Software number 6.13.708.1
HTC SDK API Level 6.25
And when i get into bootloader I see this:
*** LOCKED ***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-11111111
HBOOT-1.57.0000
RADIO-1.01.20.0904_2

OS-5.05.651.2
eMMC-boot 2048MB
May 15 2014,16:31:22.3
What did you recommend me? open the bootloader and get into cyanogenmod to get 5.1, get the Google Play Edition, the official HTC 5.0.2 ....
And, as you know more than me, I will be able to do this with this "Test Device"??
Thank you very very much.

Your phone isn't a test device, it's only showing this message because the bootloader is s-off which is a good thing since someone really messed it: a M7_UL with a sprint M7_wls firmware (5.06.651.2)... The previous owner was obviously not an expert with htc phones if he did that. Will be easy to fix with soff by flashing the correct firmware or ruu. Then you'll be able to flash whatever you'd like

Ok thank you very much, I have 10 days to use the phone and maybe return it (ebay) but i think I will return it to him because the battery is running out on one day and when I use handsfree the other person doen´s hear me very well, I do not think it´s because of the Android version, what do you think?

Don't expect the battery to last more than a day even on a new m7. The problem with handsfree might only be a dirty mic, try to clean it with a tooth brush.

Starts on Fastboot

Hi there
Hadn't used the phone for awhile so charged it up but whenever it starts it goes straight to Fastboot. No other screen appears.
I have gone in to HBOOT and done a factory reset and still the same.
It is in original state [no root etc].
The Fastboot page says
Software status modified

And the phone probably had root but lets put that a side and take a look at your problem.
The only reason I can think of for the phone to go directly into fastboot is because the system partition is wiped, formated or the data is corrupted.
Your best choice at this point would be to try this out http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/htc-desire-510-64-bit-eu--international-version/android-4-4-3-stock-os-debloated-64bit-t3361689. The guide is written by me so if you have any trouble or questions feel free to ask
Cheers, I'll take a look later.
Honestly, haven't done anything to the phone, though I can see why you might think I have. It has hardly been used and was sitting in a draw for some time. I've rooted other phones including the original HTC DESIRE but have moved onto Nexus phones and used a toolkit to root them.
