Can not solve 'no service ' problem - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there!
after an unsuccessful try to unlock my bootloader (11w42) my phone is still working, but radio function is disabled.
I can only enter my PIN number...
Is there any way to get it back working again? I already tried repairing with SUS and flashing the firmware with flashtool, but still there is no service.
Some wrote to get back radio function with msm7227_setool2, but i guess thats only for already unlocked bootloaders, right?
Thank you so much for your help!

i think that is related to the "baseband" check the version of your phone maybe you are using the wrong one

Type this using dial pad *#*#4636#*#* go to phone information and check if ur radio is off....
Sent from my E15i using xda app-developers app

I am running on the 015 baseband. Maybe i should flash the baseband itself again.
Typing in the mentioned Code Resultate in nothing. The field gets cleared After the last *
Ill let you know if i found a solution.
Thanks a Lot btw!

Some said unlocking bootloader may sim lock your phone. I think you need to re-unlock it.
---------- Post added at 09:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:22 PM ----------
by the way, how did you do that? and congrats for you! I'm locked bootloader. It's a great news that you can unlock your bootloader without
hard bricking.

1 more time
flash the stock Firmware download from my signature
flash the kernel with SIM card inside your phone during flashing

As I said: 'unsuccessfull'!
The phone was a gift from one of my friends, he did not read the warnings about the production date but tried unlocking
So now radio is off...
I'll flash 2.1 and baseband later to check if that works

I think it's sim lock but I'm not sure :/ :/

[Q]Unlocking Bootloader - Do I have a SIM unlocked phone???

I have a rooted x8 running gingercruzt 8.4.
Every time I turn on or reboot my phone, after I insert the regural PIN code another code is asked: "SIM network PIN unlocker" or something like that.
There are two options under the gap: "Unlock" and "Dismiss"
Although I press "dismiss" all the time, my phone is fully functional.
I've bought my phone with a one year contract from a different market(carrier) than I use at the moment.
As I remember, when I had the official ROM, I had no such messages, although the first time I rooted my phone, it wasn't fully functional(I couldn't receive any sms).
I'm not 100% sure about that, because it was about 6 months ago, and I instantly flashed a custom ROM.
So, my question is if my phone is SIM unlocked.
I ask because I am about to unlock my bootloader and I don't know if that fact could affect the funcionality of the phone after unlocking.
And if not, if it could affect the unlocking process.
You should check the unlock tool and see what sim lock you have before unlocking the bootloader but I would imagine your phone must be unlocked if u are able to use a different sim card unless you live in a country where they dont lock there phones? Also have you tried flashing back to stock to see if the sim pin message comes up as I've never had that message show up on gcr b4. Also what tool did u use to root I always use flashtool and never had no problems.

If you want to unlock the bootloader just use the s1tool.. this tool i can say is very safe cause it's only read the locked or not status it won't do any harm.
Take a look if u have big "R" or small "r" and have the semc xxx certificate if u have any other than that you shouldn't unlock your bootloader (you could unlock it but with bigger risk).

I didn't try to return back to stock ROM. I've used superoneclick for rooting. Sould I repair my phone with PC Suite and root it again with flashtool to see the results?

If you say dismiss, it means your phone isn't SIM unlocked. With s1tool you can easily see what's wrong with your phone. You are able to unlock the bootloader, but for safe return to stock rom before u try it.

+1 no problem with rooting using Superoneclick. I used it too, and now i run Alfs kernel without problems.

Although I choose dismiss every time, and I use a diferent carrier than the one that owns tha place I bought my phone(I bought it from a "wind" market and I use "cosmote"), the phone is fully functional.
Correct me if I am mistaken, but it souldn't work with another carrier than "wind".
I know it's possible to use cosmote instead of wind (in your situation)
Try to unlock BL and see what happens. Do you tried to identify with s1tool?

Cant figure this out

I have a N920p Sprint Note 5. It had 5.1.1 i rooted it and flashed 6.0.1 stock rom with Odin. I then rooted that and have flashed DarthStalker and MoAR. I had Moar on it and had someone remote unlock it. It wouldnt accept my tmobile sim still. It wasnt saying Invalid sim just wouldnt connect to any network, so I reflashed stock rom with odin and had it remote unlocked again. Suposedly its unlocked right now but when Tmobile sim is inserted it will not connect to network. Ive tried changing the mode and multiple APN settings. My question is if a phone is unlocked why does flashing the phone with a different rom relock it. and can anyone tell me what I AM DOING WRONG. I contacted sprint about having them unlock the phone before I had it remote unlocked and they said that they unlocked it but it would take 48 hours I waited and called back and the new rep said phone as already unlocked but it would still say invalid sim when i inserted my sim card. Pulling my hair out here. HELP?!

hey man, read that whole thread. seems like you just gotta keep flashing till it works
someone had success with "fastboot oem lock begin
<flashed firmware>
fastboot oem lock"
---------- Post added at 02:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:05 PM ----------
try flashing stock while unlocked, letting it boot, then reboot to fastboot and edit your flash commands to not erase data or cache
THEN lock

HELP: I've lost OEM Unlock

Need help badly:
I Lost OEM unlock option when I installed a custom rom. I have waited for 7 days and the option wouldnt appear in the settings. I believe if I reboot this, Id be stuck in binary blah blah and Id be back in stock rom again and be jailed for 7 days.
Im currently rooted. Ive read an article about DrKetan OEM patch. Can I be able to install that without using TWRP? Like the app Flashify or Flashfire?
Any insights please?
Thanks
I wish to restore my TWRP backup but I cant get to TWRP as I believe id be stuck in " only official binary blah blah"
I first unlocked the boot loader but didn't worked than I was unable to find the one unlock option again in developer mode even after reflashing the firmware.
In the Odin mode it is written oem lock off
Can somebody guide me how to show that option again

Some roms hide the OEM unlock option to avoid accidentally switching it and then locking you out ie only official binaries. Search in the thread of the rom you are using to see if that is the case.

Temp P20 BL Unlock, What can i do with it?

I followed this guide
HTML:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79383551&postcount=18
It actually does work after bricking the device i was able to restore it by flashing the internals of the update.app. Im able to flash ANYTHING which you can with an unlocked bootloader, after you reset you lose the temp unlock obviously. Im wondering what can i actually do with being able to do this?, Because it relocks after a reboot is it useless? I have tried to root but i imagine the recovery_ramdisk file restores itself to its original state after reboot?
Any help or tips would be nice, thank you!.

No I'd say it's not useless. Will check it out..
If you can get TWRP can you flash anything? Custom ROM? Try AOSIP, can you flash magisk?
Try some things, what's possible?
Sadly nothing so far!, TWRP will install but won't show up after the reboot, maybe because the bootloader locks back?. I was able to unbrick the device and downgrade and upgrade etc, thats about it
There's another thread of a chap looking into cracking the bootloader, could your temp unlock help him in any way?
May be worth talking to him.

Brute forcing the unlock code it's just a waste of time and that "temporary" unlock won't help that guy anyway.
