No it will not, but there is a way to get it on ics. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224)
You can use that if you want Google now. It works fine on our phone. I tested it, just follow instructions there and make sure you got the requirements.
I have got a flashable zip. PM if you want it.

I think I could provide a non root solution. But it would create 2 types of settings app on your phone. Not 100% sure on this though...
What is you solution?

Isn't there an option in settings>display and buttons and gestures to set a capacitive button as menu? I'm running a port of the One on my HTC Evo LTE, but don't know if official gas it or if our devs just threw it in. I know it existed in the sense 4 software.

Root your phone, unlock bootloader and install custom recovery, then install XPOSED framework and install the menu button mod. Otherwise install a custom Rom with the setting enabled.
Or if you don't want to do any hacking, wait for HTC to possibly fix this.

I would recommend to use this windows software: Piriform Recuva (search for it via Google)
Get your phone into flight mode, install the software and connect your phone via USB. Select your phone and let the software search. You can search for specific file types, like .jpg if you want.
Let me know if this helped!

Yes as a mtp divce

It seems like Recuva can´t handle mtp-devices. But your One can´t change that. And as long as you can´t plug it in as an exchangeable device, Recuva can´t do anything. I am sorry, I am not sure what to do now,...
The only thing i would try now, is the "T2J Pro PhotoRecovery" App...may be this could help.
I try that
