I am not sure if this will help you but you can look at these drivers.

tyvm for the reply, but unfortunately still not the right drivers.
man, I searched for you.. All I can find are the ones for the LTE. Did you try to install the lte drivers manually?
ya i tried it, no dice. i think it has something to do with the stupid jelly bean software on the HTCs. When i had that issue with the EVO LTE, the diag drivers would work if i did a downgrade back to ICS. But since this phone did not ship with ICS, that is out of the question lol.

thanks, but i'm on a windows XP, it does not give me that option shown in the video, i can manually choose the drivers, which i do and select the htc drivers, but it still fails. At this point i'm wondering if it has anything to do with my OS, as far as the drivers wont install correctly because i'm on windows xp instead of win7. Think thats a possibility?

I am using win 7 x64 here..
What is the program you are trying and I can see if it works and finds the drivers here.
I have never used diag drivers.
the program i'm using is CDMA Workshop, but you dont need the program to find the drivers. Bascially if you plug in a HTC One or HTC EVO 4G LTE on the newest jelly bean SW. you would punch in ##DIAG#, it would take you to a diagnostic menu, and when you plug it in, it will try to install diagnostic port so you can access the phone and modify the internal settings such as MDN/MIN/EVDO/PRL and such. So unless you have a HTC One or a EVO LTE, it wouldn't work.

I went to phone
##DIAG# call
nothing happens.
is it a CDMA one or a GSM one? it only works on CDMA phones. If you hit ##3424# it should come up and say DM Command Service 1: on 2: off. once you turn it on and you plug it in, it will ask for diag drivers

nope it does not work lol atleast we know that its a windows issue. So on your computer it shows up as a port number with diag?
I am running into the same issue trying to use QPST with the Sprint HTC One. I've downloaded and installed multiple sets of HTC diag drivers, but none of them will actually show the phone in QPST. I am fairly certain it is a driver issue as QPST works great with a Nexus S 4G. I am using Win7x64.
A related question, does anyone know what the "HTC 9K DIAG" device is that shows up in device manager when the phone is in diag mode?
Richard
Try this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2254578
For those having issues installing the driver, the below worked for me.
1. Open Device Manager from the control panel.
2. Put your phone into serial mode so that the computer tries to load the HTC Modem Drivers.
3. Right click on HTC Modem and select properties
4. Click the "Update Driver" button
5. Select "Browse my computer for driver software" option
6. Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" (VERY IMPORTANT, Don't use the browse button here)
7. Select "Show All Devices" from the list and click "Next"
8. Select "Have Disk" Button
9. Now click "Browse" Button and browse to were you extracted the above files....and find the HtcUsbMdmV64.inf file.
10. Select it and select Open.
11. Click OK.
12. In the window you should see HTC USB Modem, Select it and click "Next"
13. Select "Yes" should you get a popup
Driver will install and you should be good to go!!!
Thanks joshHuman..

my samsung galaxy s is not recognized by my computer no matter what i do!
don't know why, i've done some research, no results.
i've installed Kies, which i assume already installs the drivers, but when i connect, the computer shows no sign of connection (it says that i need to update drivers in device manager??) i tried different USB ports, toggled USB debugging on/off, NOTHING WORKS
the reason i want my computer to recognize the galaxy is because i want to update it to android 2.3.5 via odin. but when i enter download mode, the computer doesn't recognize it. when i'm in the system, the computer STILL doesn't recognize it...???
please somebody help, it's rooted, running a different MIUI version (not the ones in xda dev section), i'm not sure where i got it from, but it's called an ENG_MIUI?
CM7 (and subsequently MIUI) is built from the Nexus S source code, so find the proprer drivers for it. "CM7 drivers" should be a sufficient google search. Also, Kies sometimes interferes while using the other drivers. If you run into any problems, uninstall Kies.

To get your phone recognized you need nexus s drivers. But that won't help you get it recognized by kies.
You need stock firmware on your phone to get it updated through kies.

Just to clarify, this won't help you. Samsung uses Samsung drivers. Since you do not currently have Samsung firmware on your phone, this won't do you any good. As previously stated by two very informative posters, you will need the Nexus S drivers to recognize your phone.
And, also as previously stated by just an absolutely wonderfully helpful poster, if you do a simple google search you'll find exactly what you need. Try either Nexus S Driver, CM7 Driver, Nexus S CM7 Driver, or really anything else similar. You could also check the CM7 Wiki, as I'm sure there would be a link for them there. And finally, if you simply search XDA Developers, I'm sure you'd find plenty of posts with what you need.
Hopefully that helps.
thanks

Well, it seems to be a driver issue!
Try these (32-bit windows) but make sure that you are having a fresh win7 installed just in any case that your reg got corrupted with drivers (Ime ).
Still not working, then try on another pc..!

Well, CM7 drivers won't help SGS to get recognized on PC on DLD mode, you need another set of drivers and not those Nexus S's. I had the above ones installed on my PC (Google's your Best friend ) .
I had to install the drivers manually,
Right click on computer, click manage -> device something -> find your device in the list, select to update driver, search manually and enter the path to your android sdk and search.
Worked like a charm to me

hi
i had same problem, but computer recognize the device as "unknown device"
in all modes, developed, storage etc...
i am close to think thats is problem of internal usb driver of the rom
want to downgrade from de device, whitout usb, but i dont know how do it, because i am not root, and its no possible in 2.3.4 whituot usb.
thanks
I had a lot of similar issues with my I9000, too.
Tried everything on ROM and driver side also on different computers.
Finally it turned out that my Micro USB connector was corroded.
I have around 30 people in our company that have the same phone, and 5 of them had similar issues. I guess it's a common problem with this device.
I took a toothpick and cleaned the contact of the connector by sliding it up and down for a couple of million times. This also did the trick for my colleagues.
I think it's at least worth to try it.
Good luck
i try to clean the contact, but still cant connect to the computer.
I wonder if a method of degrading the system with a signed rom from the recovery, without using the USB cable or ODIN.

Hello Everyone
Yesterday I tried to get my Nexus 7 with adb-Drivers working.
At this point, my HTC-Driver for my IncS was working. it was.
Now the Nexus 7 Driver and HTC Driver are completly messed up after i tried to install the nexus 7 driver. None of them is working. When I connect one of my IncS, Windows will search for Drivers but cancel this with: "No Driver found".
When I go into the Device-Manager, it shows my IncS as Android Phone in Other Devices. (See attached Screenshot)
I tried 1000times removing and reinstalling the HTC-Driver but this didn't help, Windows don't find any driver for this. HTC Sync is also don't recognize any phone, adb either.
Tried to go back with System Restore, but the Driver-Problem is still here.
Please help me, I need this driver working for syncing my phone.
Have a nice day
MrToastbrot
Try a right click on android phone in device manager, choose install driver and guide it manually to folder inside Program Files (x86)\HTC. There you have 2 folders HTC Driver and HTC BMP USB Driver just try with both.
Thanks for your help. But i found it another way:
Go to device manager, choose android phone and then update drivers.
Choose Search on Computer, then Search in a list of installed drivers.
Then goto list all drivers. Goto HTC Corpartion and take MyHTC.
Now its working. That dumb Windows never removed the HTC-Driver, but was too stupid to realise, that it should use this driver for the IncS...
Yes, your Win got stucked searching IncS drivers in Nexus folders cause you confused it with another phone connected. I had problems even with 2 HTC phones (Desire and IncS), so a few times it got stucked while i was trying to downgrade and install BlackRose, and that was a real pain in the ass...
With 2 HTC's I never had problems. It always worked fine with my Wildfire and Incredible S. But the Nexus 7 has messed up everything...
But thanks for your help, my phone is working now (with adb)
HTC Sync setup_1.1.66.0_htc not installing
Hi,
I recently bought a HTC one X, upgraded it to Jelly Bean 4.1.1. I had the connect to PC option in ICS before which now does not exist. The problem is, when i try to install the HTC Sync setup_1.1.66.0_htc, it gives me the error "The files for installation requirement checkandremoveoldhtcdriver could not be found. The installation will now stop. This is probably due to a failed, or cancelled downoad."
I have removed all possible HTC drivers that i found in the computer. I am using a Windows 7 Home premium X86 OS.
Need help! Googled and googled but have not found a solution so far.Called up HTC and they dont have a clue.

Didnt find any good enough link.
just try follow exactly what i say.
1. Open the Device Manager
2. Locate the device you want to force to update.
3. Right Click on the device and select "Update Driver Software"
4. Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
A list of "compatible drivers will be listed, and a "have disk" Button. click the Have Disk Button and browse to the folder where you saved your driver. when you open the driver folder, the list will be populated with a list of the drivers it has found . Pick the adb testing interface. Done.

I have the International non-developer version and it came with the stock ROM with Sense 5. I rooted it and installed Google's 4.2.2 stock ROM, but when the 4.3 version came out I updated it via OTA (I know I shouldn't have done that, but I guess what's done is done). After the update, whenever I plug in my phone it still shows up but when I open it there's nothing in it no matter how many times I refresh it. Also, when I try to use Nandroid Manager it says that my phone is not rooted.
Now I also can't use adb and fastboot as they both say there is no phone plugged in when it is actually plugged in. How do I solve this? Any help would be appreciated
Btw, I have the drivers for the phone installed along with HTC Sync Manager.
Enable the USB debugging in the Developer settings > that enables ADB
I assume you know, that you need to tap on the build number 7 times to let the developer menu pop up
Since 4.3 there is multiuser, you must move your data with a file manager from data/user to data/user/0

No need to send your phone off for this, just looks like a driver issue, open device manager, right click unknown device, update driver, browse my computer, let me pick from a list, android devices if asked, select my HTC driver, if you get rubbish about the driver might be wrong, select install anyway.
If no driver is available, download and install HTC sync manager, then just remove HTC sync afterwards, just leaving the drivers then try again.
