Hello everyone! I was attempting to root my HTC One on Sprint, and I successfully completed unlocking the bootloader following the instructions found on htcdev.com. The next step (correct me if im wrong) is to flash a recovery.
I attempted (using fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) to flash ClockworkMod, ClockworkMod Touch, TWRP, and even a (supposed) original recovery img. However, each time, it fails to load the recovery. What happens is the phone shows 'Booting Recovery...', then simply goes black, never to turn on.
In order to get the phone usable, I have to hold down the power button for ten seconds and then boot it back to android. Any ideas on what's causing this?

My first question are you sure it says unlocked in hboot?
have you tried the tool they made?

Just an FYI.. You would have had more people helping if you posted in the Q/A.

Yeah, I have tried Hasoon2000's tool, but no change. I wonder, would a factory reset help?
When you try to send ity does it say .. sending? and done or does it give you an error message.
Hey, turns out I had been using Hasoon's Toolkit for the One, not the One on Sprint! It installed TWRP like a charm! Thank you! I had been stuck for weeks on this!
Cool.. Glad you figured it out... have fun flashing!!

Hi Guys,
I need help. :crying: I have a Australian HTC One, Vodaphone bought, and have been trying for the last few days to install a custom recovery. I have unlocked the bootloader via the HTC site and i now see 'Unlocked' when in bootloader. I have tried flashing all three custom recoveries with no success. It says it was successful but when I try to boot into the recovery i go straight into the rom. I never see the 'Tampered' message im guessing i should see.
Any ideas?????
Thanks in advanced.

Try to fastboot erase cache a couple times. Then just keep trying. It's strange, but it can take 5-6 reboots before the recovery "sticks" and becomes accessible. Also make sure that Fast Boot under apps is turned off.
He guys,
now i'm having my first problem.
I flashed the latest firmware: 4.06.1540.3 (its not my first firmware i flashed i flashed a lot) but after rebooting my phone shows the HTC with a warning in it and i can't get into recovery or something. When i try to get into bootloader its boots instantly.
Whats wrong here?!
edit: when i try to turn it off with power and vol down it doesnt really turns off it just reboots and the small HTC one with the red warning logo in it.

Which guide you've used?
And what's your bootloader situation? Relocked? S-OFF?
I had similar today, could only get so far with adb, what I done to get outta boot loop was: (links included)
1) install latest twrp following vomers guide
2) went into RUU (followed Vomer's guide from SECTION 3)
3)went here (htc1guru.com) downloaded the exe VERSION, with phone plugged in and in ruu mode ran the exe installer, - installed the rom - easy - push a few keys, set phone up then
4) downloaded HTC_One_-MaximusHD_30.0.0 and installed that through recovery
now im back up and running
Hope this helps - I was almost going back to the shop - with a bricked phone lol - now im happy
Thanks guys, i managed to get it work tho.
I just let it off for a while and then it worked again.. dont know what was that
Hi all.
Just recently acquired a sensation xl. I was interested in rooting so I went ahead did it. The volume down key on my sensation is broken, so to combat this I had to perform a temp root and then installed twrp recovery manager. from here , I rebooted to bootloader and unlocked it succesfully following htc dev's instructions.
After all this I flashed the cyanogenmod 9 rom to the device. All was going well.
I started looking at other roms. I decided I wanted to install runny kitkat v17(cyanogen) so I went ahead and downloaded the zip. I also downloaded the lego kernel.zip as I read that you have to flash the kernel too to tun 4.4.
I noticed that twrp recovery had an issue every time I booted to recovery. It would initialise and then display something like "kernel does not support selinux contexts" and then it would remain on the "simulating actions stage". I did not back up before I flashed cm9. I tried to back up several times on twrp but when I try to restore it says "twrp has stopped working"
So at that point I said that I would just flash the runny kitkat c17 rom and kernal from twrp. that didn't work too well. sinc I was unable to recover via twrp, I decided to boot up command prompt, and used command "fastboot recovery "recoveryimagename.img"
After this, the device restarted and now remains on the htc starting screen with the green "HTC" writing.
I think I soft bricked the phone. normally you could enter bootloader mode via phone and try restore stock firmware/ os. However since my volume button is broken and I can't manually load bootloader, I'm left clueless.
Please help me
Hi Guys
Ever since i did the stock 4.4.2 update my phone has become unusable (being out of warranty I decided to take matters into my own hands)
I rooted my One (M7) and flashed TWRP recovery onto it with success, from there I wiped it and tried to install a custom 4.3 ROM. TWRP flagged up the install with another 'success' and told me to reboot the phone. After the reboot it got stuck on the HTC splash screen and after frustration I hard reset the phone thinking I could just try installing another ROM, wrong!
I can't get into recovery, when I select it the phone attempts to start recovery and then reboots and gets stuck on the HTC splash screen again, I can't do anything other than get into fastboot at the moment.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm new to this and although I have a pretty decent computer knowledge I've always left my mobile stock. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Im sorry if im posting in the wrong place but i got a problem that i havent been able to fix. So i have a Htc one m7(at&t) is unlocked, has s-on and ofcourse is rooted. So currently im using insertcoin 7.0.4 and was using twrp custom recovery and it work perfectly. The thing is i wanted to flash the latest insercoin that is 7.0.7 but when i go to bootloader and hit recovery it goes to the logo part where it says "entering recovery" like always then it goes black for a few seconds and then comes back to the logo screen still saying "entering recovery" and it stays in that screen and it never goes into recovery. I try everything i used twrp and goo manager to install twrp or even clockmod and nothing it doesnt work, i even reflashed the custom recovery via command and nothing. My friend even install the stock recovery and it doesnt work. So i cant do nothing. My phone works fine, it is just that problem I cannot enter recovery. I search a lot but nothing help so please if you could help that will be a big help. Btw im sorry if im posting in the wrong place im new here. Thank you

Flash TWRP by MdMower, that should do it: https://android.cmphys.com/twrp-m7/
fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.6.5-m7univ.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
