Hi Guys
Brief background.
UK Galaxy Note GT N7000 - On Orange Network
Updated to stock JB 4.1.2 yesterday.
Decided I didn't like the battery drain so rooted and installed custom ROM.
Decided I didn't like the ROM so tried to go back to stock ROM and it wouldn't work.
Messed mobile up trying to fix things in a panic.
Current situation:
Phone only gets to the Samsung Galaxy Note text when trying to boot. Goes away for a second or two and then just loops over with the text.
I can go into Download mode. Can't go into CWM recovery though.
I can connect to ODIN - but whenever I try to reflash with a stock ROM it just seems to freeze on cache.img
Can anyone tell me how to fix or if it is completely dead?
Many thanks
P.S In the screenshot I also tried the Voda phone Stock Rom but it is the same on the other ROMs I have tried.
Try to flash again using the original pit file and rom. If still the same try using a different rom.
Sometime it stuck at cache.img. i mistaken unpluged device while it stuck and got soft brick. Tried again and it work, but just wait too long. Guess u should wait for that cache.img more longer

hello community, i have recently installed tweaks jvb rom on my i9000 handset. the problem started after my battery had fully discharged then once plugged in and turned on decided to go into a lovely little bootloop :S. i ttried everything i could think of to get my phone working again but everytime i install a rom it boots straight into recovery with loads of error codes saying that it cant find data and dbdata? i eventually managed to get my phone working again by running the 803 pit with the jvk rom but surely somebody on here will be able to help me? thanks
still no reply after 4 days? whats going on with my phone :S
cannot update my phone to any new rom untill this gets sorted, cant even update through odin :S
Why 803.pit? Try 512.pit + Re-Partition + a stock-ROM with bootloader.

flash again and wait.
I had to wait more than 15mins for the first boot ....then it came out and booted into the tablet.
I'll try it and now, but I waited over 20 minutes and nothing.
I think you should redownload and try the tar again. I'm sprint and have dne mine several times no issues.

Maybe if you listed what you were trying to flash we could be of more help.. You could have a bad kernel flash, or just need to reboot back into recovery and do a data and cache wipe.. Theres a number of things..

You need to post -
1. What rom.
2. GSM or CDMA.
3. Steps done.
It also helps if you have a copy of your stock rom in case a restock is needed...
It P1000 is a GSM GT. I do not know what the firmware was in it at first but I did update via Kies 2.3.3 Then the stock is in tablet Backup blocked. Then I tried with almost all European firmware with samfirmware site and no I did not succeed. Odin sends me the message that the system is successfully upgraded, but at startup I get a message that is not mount E disk and then stuck in samsung blinked screen.
I do not have copy of my stock rom unfortunately.
That's about all I know about the problem.
Okay, I think I *** up my galaxy s real good I think...Everything was peachy yesterday when I perfectly flashed cyanogenmod 9. Then I decided to be a retard and flash a glitch kernel incompatible with cm9. Naturally the phone was stuck in bootloop. Then I followed this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124391) tutorial to flash back to an official stock ROM with odin to hopefully start over. However odin fails everytime to complete the flash (it always gets stuck when flashing modem.bin) and I have to pull the battery out to start over. I now also have to force the phone into download mode by putting in the usb cable holding vol +/- followed by putting in the battery, the normal button combination doesn't work anymore.
So in short: flashed incompatible kernel with cm9, tried to odin a stock rom but odin freezes at the end for some reason.
Please help guys, time is running out because the battery isn't recognized anymore by the phone, so it doesn't charge.
Many thanks in advance.
I dont read the guide....
But do you have flashed with pit and re partition?

Yes, I did exactly what that guide said.
I will try one last resort, trying everything on windows xp instead of win7. *fingers crossed*
Don't think it's an issue with your OS, Odin is a very "simple" tool.
I recommend trying another firmware. Like a newer Gingerbread ROM. And be aware that there are different ROM's for different GalaxyS Model (like Vibrant I9000B)
Yep, you were right, the OS isn't the issue. Odin acted exactly the same. Will try a gingerbread ROM. Will I need a pit file?
Yes you need

Well...I've already tried like seven ROM's, custom and official. Odin hangs on every single one of them. And always at the modem.bin file. Could it be that something in the phone where the modem.bin has to be is damaged or something?
Edit:
I fixed it! Thanks everyone!
@nicolas_cage, I am having the same problem, how did you fix it?
I was installing the DA Statusbar mod. Before I did that I back up my phone using CWM and Titanium Backup.
installed with no problems, I then rebooted. Home screen froze for a second and then showed me that my system.ui crashed. It kept doing that for a good 5 minutes. I decided to go back into CWM and restore my last saved state. I recieved an error installing the back ups (I have made 5 so far).
Now I don't really know what to do. I know I have to basically start from the beginning via flashing stock rom on odin. But how would I go about doing that? I can't seem to find the thread that explains this. =/
Thanks in advanced
SOLUTION HERE
You need to be much more specific. What's your recovery version? How did you backup/restore? Have you done this before? What's the error?
Use the unified tool kit to flash the stock rom.
I strangely cannot find a thread for the 9305 for stock roms =\
The stock firmware can be found on sammobile

To shorten the question and answers... If you could still boot to Download mode.
Flash your stock original firmware trhu Odin on your pc or download an exact model for your phone in SamMobile. From there you start a new... Root then re flash the cwm and so on...
If I understand this right you can boot to cwm and you can boot into the phone but the systemui fcs.
You can do a couple things here without having to reflash anything through odin. If you have your original systemui on the phone somewhere you can try and navigate to it with a root explorer then copy it into your system/app reboot and it should be as before, this can be tricky with constant fc's.
If you have a zip which has a systemui in it you can flash that in cwm and should fix the problem.
If you have a custom rom on your phone you can boot into cwm and flash it.
The fact that you have access to cwm and the phone boots but the systemui constantly fc's making the phone unusable means you have more options and quicker ways to get your phone working then going back to scratch and flashing a rom through odin

Solution.
Basically I got stuck at the samsung boot logo for ages.
I am running CWM v5.5.0.4. I have done this before, sorry I wasn't specific, I was trying to multitask. I've attached a screenshot of my phone info for everyone to see.
1. I wiped data/factory reset.
2. Wiped cache partition.
3. Wiped Dalvik Cache
4. Battery Stats
Rebooted, still no luck.
I went into Download mode.
Opened Odin.
Downloaded " Param_Bin_I9305.zip - 612.14 KB" located in this post
Followed the instructions in that post.
rebooted.
Thought it didn't work but my capacitive buttons lit up. SUCCESS!
Saw my homescreen, I thought I would have needed to root again but I managed to get into CWM after rebooting.
I downloaded root checker....I saw that I still had root access.
Installed Pandoriam v6.
Now I am back to normal.
My CWM backup didn't save me, I don't really know why. Maybe I was using it wrong? The thing is It's worked with me in the past, but not on this device.
Is there anyone that could shed light on that issue? I'll try and back it up again. Do I need to repeat the backup more than a few times to register it to the device?
Not sure if this is the right place or not but seems to be a similar situation.
I have a month old S3 LTE that came with 4.1.2 . It has not been rooted or had anything done to it at all.
I found a thread that shows you how to unlock it but was not getting the final option . This I understood was because some of these phones needed to be downgraded .
I saw a procedure using odin and looked for a similar rom on Sammobile but could not see any for Orange UK so picked a random 4.1.1 Rom and flashed it.
This left me with a glowing Samsung boot screen so I tried another ROM and another ROM and finally when giving up choose a current 4.1.2 Rom for EE but that too is stuck at the same place.
Can you help me work out where I am or have been going wrong please?
The Phone is from Orange UK ( EE ) but there was no branding on it .
i also neglected to note the Rom that was on it
if you read the guides you will find out that you need to factory reset after flashing
Unfortunately as the phone is sitting at a glowing Samsung logo, I cannot factory reset. In fact I cannot do anything except keep throwing Roms at it, unless you have any other suggestions?

You can't get into recovery by pressing volume up, power and home?

did you try pulling your battery then trying recovery mode?

thx natthewife

thx again
Hi everyone. I have a rooted Galaxy Note 1. I accidentally tried to update something (the phone said there was an Android update or something) and now my phone in stuck in a bootloop showing the Android logo. When I try to reset it (volume+home+power buttons) it goes to an Odin "Downloading..." screen and gets stuck on that.
I've seen some stuff about unbricking the phone using Odin to return to the original stock rom. But from what I can tell, there are different stock roms available depending on your Country Sales Code (CSC). So apparently I need to look in Kies for my CSC to know which rom to download, but Kies doesn't recognise the phone, I guess because it's bricked. I know the phone is from the UK, but I don't know what network it came from (I bought it second hand). All I know is that it is unlocked now.
I have CWM.zip, CWM-SuperSU-v0.87.zip, and franco.Kernel-r5.zip on the micro SD card from when I was rooting it ages ago. Do these have anything to do with fixing it?
Any ideas on where I go from here? Thanks for your help.
Which volume button did you press ? You need volume up + home + power to get into recovery.
You can flash any rom from any region using odin.
Same problem
Hey,
Thanks for helping me in advance...
I used the Custom ROM (( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970626 )) Ultimate N7000 for a long time. However this build became more and more unstable the longer I used my phone.
So I decided to go back to STOCK.
So I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
And everything went well (Odin didnt give any errors)
However after reboot... the problem began... I cant turn my phone on anymore.... It seems to be stuck in a bootloop....
How can I fix this?? please help me
Which rom did you flash? If you flashed JB, boot into recovery and wipe data. Then reboot.
