anybody facing these problems? sometimes the message wont come in unless u use the phone (sms, make calls) especially if its in sleep mode..
these can be fix by changing to gsm only mode but its such a waste for my unlimited data plan.
any way around guys?

Hello, quick question regarding NFC. I've not been able to test it yet but as far as I'm aware when enabled a icon should be present on the notification bar.
When active on my phone there isn't any icon? Is this a fault?

Well, I meant stock rom, anyway my NFC is always on and I don't want to see any icon
NFC Icon is only available on the US variants namely T-Mo, AT&T & Sprint. Other version don't have icons.

So on those variants there is no way to know that the NFC is turned on except to go to the settings menu?

yeah. as a matter of fact, I just tried it just now with an S3. Just turn nfc on, go to whatever file you decide to share, tap the other phone, and you'll get an option to beam. no icon was present during the process.

Unlimited Everything is worth $70 on TMO.
I bought two nexus 5's...i guess ill just sell em when they come in...crap verizon!!!!
It rather blows my mind that every other carrier supports it other than Verizon, I think it says a lot about them and their policies, becoming more and more locked down (think Knox for S4 and others). It makes me think a lot about George Orwells Nineteen Eighty-Four....

Wish I could but I travel for an living. That means I'll be constantly be going places that has terrible coverage all the time in the TMobile network. Those places are usually where I need 4G the most.
I hate being handcuffed.
For those that did buy it. It just may work. Keep your hopes up

Barely, It does support Band 4 LTE and CDMA. VZW operates mostly on Band 13 LTE and just lit up Band 4.
The modem itself should support all bands because the baseband is the same in the Note 3, LG G2 etc. It should support Cat 4 LTE but the spec list does not necessarily list that.

Yep.
I have four phones, all with insurance, unlimited data, unlimited text and sharing 1400 minutes.
Bill after all taxes and fees is $215. :good:
As long as my bill is this cheap with Verizon how can I leave????
I'm held hostage by Verizon.....
I have the Moto X on Verizon and I bought a Nexus 5. I'll try TMO and AT&T both on the month to month option to see which I get better service with. If it's comparable to Verizon at all I'll port my number over
Someone test it on Verizon. I was going to order one to test as in theory it should work. Thank you

Anyone tempted? I love my one and the only upgrade you get is more megapixels and a fastest CPU but not by much? Stock android I guess by recent cm builds have been rock solid for me. I'm still considering it though nevertheless lol. Other peoples thoughts? Also phandroid confirmed that sprint let out a statement regarding this activation.

I believe you would need to order a SIM card for lte connectivity. They don't have them in brick and mortar stores

Cant you just remove the one from the ONE and insert into the Nexus 5?
I think you can put a sim in it from your One.
What I want to know is if you get one from tmo, will it work on sprint? If I put a sim in it...?

Can anyone using an unlocked note 8 let me know if you can still use the hotspot feature?
Also curious if you have an unlocked S8 or S7 , does the hotspot work?

Yes I read that people with the unlocked s8 can use the hotspot without Verizon getting in the way. So the unlocked Note8 should be the same. The only trade-off is you do not get Wi-Fi calling or HD calling because the firmware does not support it. I don't use those features so it doesn't bother me. You can flash the Verzion firmware and get those features but you lose the hotspot. Idk if you can go back to carrier unlocked firmware so I'm not messing with it.

I had no idea this was possible. I thought everyone using Nougat was locked out of hotspot without root regardless of the phone being unlocked. If that's the case, I'd return the Note I ordered from Verizon and just buy it from Bestbuy.

For users in the "New" Verizon Unlimited plan, would an unlocked phone bypass the 15GB limit on hotspot before they throttle you to 3G?
