Just got Mynook HD+ this week and am finally playing with it. One question I had is there a way to make downloaded apps go full screen in stock? For instance, the kindle app.

Hello fellow KFTT users, I have recently flashed CM10.1 and I realized that the camera only partially works... It works when booted up then it seems after a certain period of use, it quits working. This is not a complaint, just a little heads up to Has code if he wasn't already aware.

used other app to se that the camera app is the problem?
Are you taking pictures or are you taking video?
I've only tried picture because I can't get any stock camera app to stay installed. There seems to be none pre-installed.

I just put the 10.1 ROM on emmc today on my new HD+. A couple of issues - I cannot install the NOOK app to get my purchased content. Also a after I power down and go to boot, I sometimes find that the devise has rebooted? Any thoughts on this?

Just sideload the app. Here is the link http://db.tt/NAiUnLtt

That did it. Thanks.
The real problem is that b&n blocked their app on machines reporting themselves, verygreen updated his room and has a quick fix in his thread for emmc.

Hi peeps
quick question.... if I remove silk entirely (cause I hate it and don't really want 2 launchers installed) will more apps in the Google store be more compatible? or is that just the way the kindle is made?

3 Things:
Wrong thread
Silk isn't a launcher
Yes, there are plenty of launchers and browsers available

Hmmm.... obviously silk isn't what I meant then.... I wand to remove the original kindle software to stock vanilla android.... there are a few apps which at the moment if I search the google play store and they're either not there or don't work and then have to use the amazon Appstore to get a working version... would removing all the amazon launcher stuff make those apps work/available? Or would it not make any difference?
To clarify: Silk is the web browser.
And back to the issue at hand, if you want vanilla android, CyanogenMod is the closest you will ever get.

I don't think it has anything to do with the Amazon apps. I think I read somewhere that it has something to do with the build.prop (which isn't something to go messing with).
If you want to see those incompatible apps in the Play Store, use this app here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...ps-without-changing-the-build-prop-root-only/

I have a Nook HD+ running stable 10.1.3 with a cracked screen, as shortcut can I use CWM to clone my system to a 32GB nook HD+?
I'd like to use the old 16GB as a backup as it is still use able.
Thanks
Yes you can. But since the second one is a clone of the first, it will have the same MAC Address as the first one and cannot be connected to your router at the same time. That can be fixed if you want after cloning it.

Newb here, I just upgraded my Nook Hd+ stock to cm10.2 nightlies. For the most part everything went smoothly but I'm unable to install the Nook app now.
Is this normal? For Nook to not be able to be able to be installed on Nook hd+'s with cm?
I've downloaded nook from this site
Any bad side effects from Nook not being installed from the Play store?

Have you set allowing apps from unknown sources in settings? You do not explain what you mean by unable to install.
It is normal for the nook app to show as not compatible in the Play Store. Users just side load the app from sites like you referenced. Works fine.

I meant installing through the google play store. I'll keep that in mind in the future, I just thought it was weird that BN wouldn't let me put a nook on my nook. I thought the tablets were a loss leader to encourage you to buy books from them.

It is, but their stock already includes the reader and you are not supposed to be running CM on it. They do not want to encourage people doing that by making the android app available to CM on the nook.
