Hello. I'm sorry if this is an stupid question but I've been wondering this for a while.
Is it possible to port the multi Window feature from Samsung devices (sgs4, sgs3, note 2) to the HTC one? Or is this feature framework dependent and can only work on samsung framework? I really know nothing about porting or compatibility needs to make that feature work so I've been wondering this...
Thanks any help is appreciated!

This is in fact Samsung framework dependant. This will not work without a full port of Samsung touchwiz framework. Sorry bud

Basicly something i really like on the s4 is multi window. Isnt it possible we can get something similar?
Or is there already a good other multitasking solution?
It's really hard port the multitasking of samsung.
Because devs have to re-write all the code of the framework
With all due respect to the developers and sorry for my bad english... I love my Xperia Z and am very happy with it.Mi next purchase will be the Xperia Z1 but both are missing something very important in my opinion when compared to Samsung. Is there a way to port the Samsung Multiwindow? Is possible to develope an application that works as well as this? I know there are some applications in the Play Store but they are far from the functionality offered by Samsung.
Small apps?

its not possible as it requires touchwiz framework.
there is one called onskreen cornerstone, but the development seems to be dead. and no one ported it to AOSP.

Hey yeah im intrested in that im pretty sure you can take the files from firmware on my Samsung and push then to the firmwear folder in anyrom ( but maybe im thinking too too simple ( screw Samsung as its all being given out for free they can't stop us, )maybe its illegal to cheery pick for samsung offical stuff, right well im going to try this whrn my new laptop arrives, but ill need brave souls too test it, ( probably gonna be cm with samsung firmware cheery picked, tell me now if its futile,
Xposed Framework mod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2048668
This mod looks like the sony small apps, but than just regular apps. Not ideal, but comes close
You do need to install xposed framework first though.
Xmultiwindow is also an option these days. Still beta so don't expect it to work perfectly. For example you can only open two pages at once when you're not on your launcher bit already in an app.
C6603
4.3 .569
CWM
Doomkernel
Xposed

They are samsung specifics, they need samsung framework, and these things are not open source. So it is highly unlikely that you see those features on a non-samsung phone.

Unless someone reverse engineers those apps or samsung releases the source (both of which are just something you can only dream of), you ARE unlucky
Hello People!
I haven't rooted a phone since my HTC HD2 from 2009. Now I have had the Samsung Note 5 international version for a while which doesn't have samsung pay so I'm planning to root it now. I wanted to know whats the difference between custom roms and kernels. What is the best custom rom for the Note 5. Also I have been reading a lot about people having trouble because they bricked their device which is making be not want to root. Also I don't see that many custom roms for the Note 5 as I saw for the HTC HD2 back then. I'm looking for something that overlays on top of touchwiz because I like touchwiz but I want more functionality for example only stock apps work with split screen but I want every app working with split screen and same thing for pop-up view.
Thanks for the help guys and girls.

Hello Everyone!
Does anybody know if anyone is working on a One UI 3.0 Rom?
I would absolutely love to get One UI 3.0 to come to the Note 9.. so does anybody think someone is possibly working on that?
At least no official ROM/update on Note9 for UI3.0.
Maybe later the forum has someone can customize it.......
