Hey guys in recovery currently trying to get a rom transfered over. I can't open the removable disk on my computer for some reason? So i'm stuck in recovery till I can get a ROM on it. Using TWRP btw.
Drivers installed? Does it show up in devices and printers?

You cannot connect to PC as storage device while in recovery, as of yet. You'll have to ADB sideload a rom. I'm assuming you wiped internal memory?
ya no big deal there thats saved me sideloading
Sorry for abandoning my thread. Yeah I sideloaded and got things working.

all my Rom zips and backups are gone. How can I access my internal SD card to copy a ROM over to it then flash?
I have no OS installed so it wont boot into anything except TWRP recovery
step by step instructions greatly appreciated

EDIT: This is how I fixed my phone
I used the AIO toolkit to "Flash My Own Recovery" after I downloaded CWM Touch
http://goo.im/devs/Flyhalf205/M7WLS/Recovery/recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.1-m7wls.img
I flashed CWM then booted into recovery and selected sideload
I used the AIO tool kit to select my ROM of choice and it installed perfectly
I am now in my phone and able to access my internal storage
Connect to PC, the copy over to storage on phone. Boot into recovery and install.

PC doesn't connect to internal storage unless completely booted into a ROM. I have no ROM installed. Just plugging my phone in to my PC doesn't open up my storage
Did you plug the phone in and let it install drivers? i'm assuming you're running Windows 7/8.
EDIT: Did you try ADB to see if computer recognizes phone? You could flash rom this way if it does.

Ive had the phone plugged in many times and all drivers installed. When I plug it in now, my PC makes that noise that something is connected, but I don't get any prompts to install drivers or notifications that a device is connected.
If I try to boot, it just stays on the "HTC quietly brilliant" screen and goes no further

no I haven't. What is ADB?
Are you trying to get into recovery (Power/vol down)?? If you can't get into that you need to use fastboot (ADB) to reflash recovery so you can access your internal. I'm guessing you know how to do this since you already had it. If not, lemme know. I can try and give step by step to get it back.

Ok, I gotcha now. Sounds like the drivers aren't working between the phone & PC.
Goto HTC and download HTC Sync, sorry can't cause I don't have enough posts to show link.
Leave phone disconnected and let it install. Then try again. Report back.
Kinda a novice here but you did say you formatted the SD so I would ask how? But more importantly to what file format? fat32?
Not even sure what it is supposed to be but in trouble shooting this I would make sure the SD is formatted correctly. Just saying...and sorry for butting in here.

There is a format option through TWRP (wipe/format data) that formats EVERYTHING. So whatever TWRP formats it as is what it is.

will this uninstall my recovery and unroot me? Is this a complete stock flash?
so I got these commands to work
fastboot oem lock
fastboot oem rebootRUU
but when i try to run the last command
fastboot flash zip c:/lol.zip
it just says
cannot load c:/lol.zip
and it has been renamed to lol.zip and is at the root of my C drive
my phone is currently on the black HTC screen
Try it without the c:/

I tried every combination
So, I recently used an app (app2sd or link2sd or one of those kinds of apps) that swapped my internal memory with my external memory. It requested me to do a reboot, so I did. After the reboot, the phone just keeps looping through the cyanogenmod boot animation. What I think is that since my SD card doesn't have the booting files that my internal storage has, it doesn't boot (correct me if I'm wrong), since its reading the sd card as if its the internal storage and vice versa for the internal memory. Any way I could fix this? So far all I can really do on my phone is boot into recovery mode and Odin mode. I also tried to flash my SD card with Cyanogenmod, but turns out I don't have the zip for it on my internal memory (now external), and I can't access the internal memory on my computer, only the SD card (internal). Also, I've tried using adb shell, but whenever I try it always comes up with "Error: device not found" so that wont work for me. Kinda assuming I'm outa luck D:
I'm a little confused here if I got this right you used an app to SD app now your external SD is reading as your internal ? What recovery you using cwm?

Nope it soft bricked not to worry though. Your going to need an usb jig there like 5 dollars at usbjig.com once you get that reformat your sd card make sure you have usb driver and boot image and nessary files to flash to stock via odin at that point google and youtube is your best friend because i have no experince dealing with odin. The USB jig is going to force you phone into odin so you can load the nessary files to flash back to factory if done properly.
Which version of CWM are you using? If you are on 6x you can go to mounts and storage and then mount USB to copy a ROM to your phone. If you are on 5x you will have to update to 6x with Odin.
Edit: If you can't mount storage but you can get into download mode, you should follow the directions to flash to stock from here:

Ok well I'll look into this. Thanks for the info!
Download mode=Odin mode.
If you can already get into Odin by holding volume down and power then you don't need a jig.

AH. Yea I've just did that and now its working good as new. Thanks!
Hey you guys what's up!
I unlocked the bootloader on my HTC One via HTC Devs and flashed a custom recovery (CWM) and then flashed Cyanogenmod 10.1 and everything was AMAZING and great I was updating the nighties almost daily and I was having a blast! Then my Google Apps stopped working. They would have a server error repeatedly and I couldnt update my apps on Play store or use G+ or sync my email none of my Gapps were working. So i figured i'd relfash my GAPPS and thats exactly what i did still nothing changed. So I wiped the device and reinstalled Cyanogenmod. In the welcome screen when i sign to Gmail, it gave me the same server error. So I wiped the sd card by accident and now i'm on Recovery but NO ROMS to flash! And because the phone doesn't support an external SD Card, I cannot add the rom again to flash it via recovery! I tried to adb sideload but it wont work the adb installer keeps telling my windows 8 64bit error! Also, I tried to mount the sdcard to copy the rom again and flash it in recovery but it wont mount my computer wont read the phone. It gives me the alert that the phone is connected but i do not get to access the memory to copy a rom to it.
Now I'm stuck with a HTC One that has CWM recovery and no roms to boot. Please please help!
Thanks
This happened to me. With cwm you'll just have to side load a new zip. Use adb sideload ROM.zip this should get you back in business.

Why would an OTG cable come in handy? I have one but haven't really found any practical uses for it beside hooking up a mouse, keyboard, or sd reader.

after reading my own post, im guessing to to put zip files on an sd card when you cant use adb?
I'm having a similar problem, I can't access the sdcard (or /data directory) and don't have an OTG cable. Any way I can access the /data directory? recoveries keep showing it as 0MB. :/
---
EDIT: Got it fixed. Sideload didn't work on TWRP. I tried using CWM and it froze the computer I was doing it from. I tried again from another computer and I decided to wait a few minutes and it started pushing it. Eventually the rom installed and all is well!
I think the problem occured when trying to install a rom before and recovery rebooted in the middle of the installation which messed up the /data directory. I lost all access to it and ended up wiping it all (prob didn't need to) and sideload fixed it.
boys, i figured it out. I have used a OTG Cable copied the rom to a usb stick and bam! i'm a satisfied customer!

So as I tried to update to new software I noticed it just kept booting into TWRP. So I decided I wanted to unroot my phone. Didn't go so well. I rebooted and now it just keeps booting into recovery. I have no idea what to do now. I have a backup on my computer, but the device is not recognized anymore. So I can't just copy it over to my phones storage.
A tutorial or walkthrough on how to restore your phone from a backup on your computer would be really great. Everything you can do that is help related is appreciated to.

I am not familiar with adb, and im trying to install it now. But just get that the command isn't recognized.
more info on what commands to use would be very useful

You'll probably want to use ADB push.

Yea thanks. I found out a few minutes ago. That I were able to push files from my computer over to the sdcard using the command. ADB push rom.zip sdcard/rom.zip
took a while, and am using a custom rom, which looks to be running pretty nice.
So I rooted my phone HTC one verizon m7 with sunshine and towelroot and it worked. It has been awhile since i flashed and installed roms.
So I installd TWRP and roms , The rom wouldnt work and it would go back to TWRP. and I Forgot to back up/nandroid then i panicked - Accidentally wiped everything...now I'm stuck in TWRP with nothing in it. NO rom's no back up .
ADB sideload gets stuck trying load in TWRP or mount wont recognize on my computer. Please help. Will gladly donate if I can gee this fix in couple hours
Install this recovery http://mdmower.cmphys.com/download/317/?version=2.8.1.1
Then connect the device to your computer and you should see the storage connected as MTP. Copy your Rom to it like you do normally and flash. Maybe you must wait a little before the storage appears connected to the computer.
