This was popular on other phones. This is a zip that will wipe cache, data, system and dalvik. This is meant to be a quick pre-wipe for flashing roms. You would flash this first and then the rom right after. This wipes data but will not wipe the /data/media folder. So your pics, music etc... will be safe. Basically everything in /sdcard will not be wiped.
DO NOT FLASH THIS WITHOUT FOLLOWING IT UP WITH A ROM OR YOUR PHONE WILL NOT BOOT
If you do it by mistake just boot into recovery and install a Rom.
SOME ROMS REQUIRE A BUILDPROP CHECK BEFORE IT WILL INSTALL. DON'T USE THE SYSTEM WIPE ZIPS WITH THOSE ROMS AS THE BUILDPROP WILL BE ERASED. Thanks To Shoulon

Some ROMs require a build.prop check before flashing, perhaps a disclaimer regarding that should left in the OP?
Also here's the kernel cleaning zip provided on KToonsez SGSIII kernel thread. if it helps add that script to the OP. (it wipes cache dalvik and fixes permissions)

Just to make it clear DON'T INSTALL THE SCRIPT AS IT IS POSTED! Wait for me to update the original script with the permissions fix.
Edit: OK the fix permissions version has been added to the OP. I have never needed to fix permissions before so I made two versions to choose from.

FAST!!! Wow, thanks again! The no data version comes in very handy for psuedo-dirty installs.
crawrj - The fix permissions part is because some people make kernels and include a Control app. Like Ktoonsez, all his kernels include his KTweaker app to adjust gov, IO, volts ect.... so you gotta fix perms when flashing his kernel since the app goes in System/app

Well I see every developer in his roms thread advises that it is preferable to flash his custom rom on stock rom to avoid bootloops due to different kernels cos that causes bootloop in most cases
And this guide includes format system so your boot. Img will be formatted and would avoid bootloop
So here is a procedure to install roms like that without flashing stock rom via odin
Disclaimer: Dont blame me if u get bootloop if u don't follow the steps correctly and if u follow correctly and get a bootloop flash stock via odin which u won't get most probably
(Confirmed working I flashed simplicity v5 on v4 and see if it works for u)

I guess the difference is that we clear data and cache via stock
xD
Sent from my GT-S5830i using xda premium
And format system too
So we can flash roms having different kernels cos that causes bootloop in most cases
And I did get a bootloop while flashing v5 on v4 using this
So I think you all can try using the same procedure and flash custom roms

Instant wipe data is not needed. Only once in cwm wipe data is needed. Wipe data wipes the cache too. So no need of instant wipe data/cache and format data/cache

formating data cash and system is needed if u have a custom rom with a different kernel ... many roms have extra stuff like tweaked status bar (not just modded) ... so when u flash a rom normally they may chash (if stock is not flashed...) so the every step in the procedure ive given is important and needs to be followed in the exact order..

Because the flashing process do it automatically, otherwise the ROM shouldn't work.

[ROM] [LB&UB] Rooted, Deodexed & Zipaligned Stock 10.3.1.A.2.67 Rom V2 [21/10]
Rooted, Deodexed and Zipaligned Sony stock 10.3.1.A.2.67 Flashable Rom V2!For Locked and Unlocked Bootloaders
Hi Everyone,
Here is a rooted, deodexed and zipaligned stock 10.3.1.A.2.67 (Generic NL unbranded) rom. A deodexed rom makes it easier to modify apks and jars without having to worry about those pesky odex files. It should also make installing mods from the Themes & Apps section easier as well
Hope you like it
Rom features:
> Rooted with the latest SuperSU
> Deodexed for easier modding
> Zipaligned for optimised RAM usage
> Init.d script support (scripts can tweak system settings for better performance)
> Very smooth and fast
> XZDualRecovery included
Changelog
Stock 10.3.1.A.2.67 Rooted, Deodexed & Zipaligned V2 (21/10)
-Cleaned up some stuff
-Based on Generic NL .67 firmware (less bloatware)
-Added init.d script support
-Included XZDualRecovery

Installation instructions:
If you're already running the 10.3.1.A.2.67 stock rom:
Copy the rom to your microSD
Backup any important data to your microSD
Boot into recovery and do a nandroid backup first
If you have CWM: select Wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache, go into 'mounts and storage' and select Format /system, then /data, then /cache
If you have TWRP: select Wipe then Advanced Wipe, tick Dalvik Cache, System, Cache and Data then wipe.
Install the rom and enjoy!
*the first boot will take a while just be patient
If you're running 10.3.1.A.0.244 or any previous firmware:
Copy the rom to your microSD
If you have the C6603/C6606 model download this file https://mega.co.nz/#!bIIDHJrB!Fk1iBgtMnmprlQNT2CP6YQcTdQc845spF0UfVsInYGc (15.2 MB) and drop it into your Flashtool firmwares folder on your PC
If you have the C6602 model download this file https://mega.co.nz/#!qIRxkAZb!RPqRCjwQQ0uw6tA5QrSAqh9rpJ4xt1Lx0uDstVsYsFI (15.3 MB) and drop it into your Flashtool firmwares folder on your PC
Backup any important data to your microSD
Boot into recovery and do a nandroid backup first

If you have TWRP: select Wipe then Advanced Wipe, tick Dalvik Cache, System, Cache and Data then wipe.
Now this is the important part, flash the rom as usual BUT DON'T REBOOT AFTER IT'S FINISHED, instead turn off the phone, in CWM it's in Advanced>Power Off, in TWRP it's in Reboot>Power OFF
Connect your phone in Flashmode (hold volume key down while plugging in USB)
Flash everything in the C6603_10.3.1.A.2.67_Stripped.ftf or C6602_10.3.1.A.2.67_Stripped.ftf (depending on your model) in Flashtool

Mine is usually fast (like 40Mbps), but I can't download it in order to upload it.
By the way, good work, I know you didn't throw in mods, or make your own, but that's what I like, completely stock, but de-odexed so we can choose what stuff to add ourselves.
Kinda-ish like my ROM, before I discontinued it (My laptop broke, and I didn't have anything else).

Could you make the recovery a separate flash? As some people like to use DooMKernel or other kernels, as opposed to this "built-in" recovery. Also, this uses TWRP; a lot of people don't like that.

Did you do what I told you to try before?
And you should ask creator of that reodexing script what you should do maybe.
For those who have problems with odexing rom. Do a clean install of HarshJelly 5.2 then download the odexer tool from here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2390162
Tip: Download UOS_V642_ARMEABI.zip for ARM devices like S Advance.
Flash it via recovery, reboot phone, open terminal emulator and type:
su
dexo -all
Wait until odex in done (apps will force close). When odex done reboot. If phone freezes after reboot, reboot again. For me is working, rom is odexed and smooth. No Android is upgrading message on boot.
Sorry for my bad english.
