Volume control via Hardware buttons - more sensitive settings possible?

Currently it takes about 5 or 6 steps to set the volume level from 0 to max via hardware buttons (hands free buttons). If you try to control it via touch, you can actually set it very precise...
I wonder now if you can make the hardware buttons to change the volume level using smaller steps so that you can adjust it almost as precise as with the touch control...
Any registry tweak? Any idea?
STYLUS!!

Well...with the stylus you can control your volume even more precise, you just have to tap the screen with the stylus and drag your volume to where you want it to go....it's a little bit more precise than the hardware buttons...to be honest...i don't know if there's any software or so ???
good luck!
EDIT: I noticed that you already mentioned the method above, which I told you...sorry....sorry...sorry....

volume control during calls

does anybody knows if it's possible to use volume controle during call with htс phone skin disabled? I know only that it is included into the skin. but I didn't like the skin ( I use inesoft dialer instead) because it takes up to 10 M RAM and decrease whole system speed when active.
but with it disabled volume during call can't be changed.
HELP, PLEASE, IF YOU CAN!!!
I am currently also looking for a solution to this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks
Brevi
See post #2 of the link in my signature. There's a link to another thread with a CAB file to disable the HTC volume control.

Disabling the HTC volume control (the full screen one) allows the standard WM popup volume control to work. This has two controls for system and ring volume and a separate one for in-call volume that only appears during a call.
There is actually a setting to enable this popup in DiamondTweak but, as far as I can tell, it doesn't work with recent ROMs. The cab is the only method that I know of to adjust in-call volume when not using the HTC dialer.
yes, thanks, I used cab you mentioned. it works with standard wm means. it's better than nothing. are there in the thread interest ing dialer skins?
EXISTS ANOTHER WAY!!!
at 4pda you can find volume control from htc opal. the only thing - it's in qvga. so, if somebody could resize...YOU ARE WELCOME!
Interesting... have you got a screenshot?
How is it better than the WM popup? I actually like the popup now that I have changed the notification colours in my theme. I also like the way that the volume keys can still work when the device is locked - very handy for playing music.
In case anyone is interested, here are some screens of the standard popup:
sorry, that volume control controls only system and ring volume. anyway, I'm trying now to find in call volume control at 4pda.ru
you shouldnt link to warez ^^

Volume rocker wake up

Good day friends,
On the Atrix 4g and Atrix 2 there was a way to configure your device so it would wake up from sleep when pressing volup/voldn; of course, you had to be de-odexed and modify policy.jar and some other stuff; does anyone know if there is a way to have the Atrix HD wake up on rocker press?
This is probably not the solution you're looking for, but i believe that magic locker lets you do that.

Yeah, I saw the setting in there while trying out the lock screen, personally I didn't have a reason to use it, but it should be in the main app's settings

Single Volume Control

That the volume rocker only controls ringtone drives me nuts, I've seen a number of potential solutions, but lots that don't work on 5.x+
Anyone care to share their current approach? I'm looking for controlling all volumes simultaneously from the rocker, like life should be
Thanks!

It has been over a month since this thread began, does anyone have a solution yet? This would make many people happy :fingers-crossed:
Press on the volume button. .you get the slider. .next is a settings wheel icon...tap it to get expanded bar. .you can increase whatever you want. ..people need more options. .you may want only ring tone volume low but play media volume high. ..each one has different needs
Wanam xposed had multiple features including expanded volume bar and the like. ..may be you need that
