hey guys, i am sorry if this came up already but i couldn't find anything in the search: Is it somehow possible to create normal homescreens to both sides of the blinkfeed so you could have blinkfeed in the middle and then with a swipe left or right get access to a more AOSP screen? I know that it's not possible with the stock launcher but is there any chance somebody's working on modding it? thanks a lot for any help. ben

i think you can rearrange your homescreen, by long pressing on them, just like apps and widgets

you can long click and move them however this only brings up a menu to delete them as far as I know, and see. there's no way to actually move them around which limits blinkfeed to the left-most position unfortunately

You should be able to remove the piece of **** altogether! At the very least disable it ... If there's one thing that really annoys me about this phone, it's the social integration. Why can't they give people the choice? I don't use and don't want to use Sh*tter or Fagbook so why do you make me have them on my phone, not able to uninstall. The integration into Gallery is worse still, why would I want to see hundreds of random photos from Facebook friends in My Gallery?
... F**k it, I'm going for a J, time to de-stress lol

I guess it should, but maybe one of those who got their phones already can confirm this.

Yes, it does remove blinkfeed. Tested with apex launcher.
It will still be a background process, will it not? Even though its not visible. Like sense Rosie/prism itself

If you do not delete Prism.apk yes but it won't be active, just an apk doing nothing

Torxx, you wouldn't happen to know a way we can have a alternative launcher running and keep blink feed?
I like it but I want my old Nova Launcher back
Alternatively, If I have to make do (which I expect I will have to lol) How can I change the Icons on the home screen Dock?
Or am I just being as thick as a plank??....
Cheers
To rearrange the dock icons, open the app drawer and then drag the unwanted ones back into drawer. You might need to drag them to where they're supposed to go (i.e. I have my drawer sorted automatically and had to drag the camera to where it'd be in the drawer).
You can only have the 4 apps on there but if you remove any, you're free to put whatever you want in its place.

It would be active, continuously streaming content to its interface on the sense launcher
Best option would be to change launchers and then freeze Sense
Just un-check all the options/feeds leaving blinkfeed blank. This way it fetches nothing. Then run you new launcher.

Thanks for the tip but Ive figured that out. The issue Im having is, If I use a Icon changer, it drops a widget on the home screen that is essentially a shortcut to the app you pick.
Because its a widget, it wont let me move it to the dock at the bottom...
I know I could probably go hinting to try and change the pings manually, I just really cant be bothered as I know It wont be long before I flash another rom.
Any Ideas?
Freeze it in titanium if you don't want it.
I don't see a way to do so on the one....maybe i'm missing something. Does anyone know?

HTC Launcher doesn't let you do that, you will need a 3rd party launcher.
I downloaded Nova Launcher from the Play Store. it will allow you to resize widgets
It depends on the widget but with the stock launcher when I added my calendar widget, I just held my finger on it, a blue border appeared and I stretched it to fill one of my screens.
Some widgets don't allow resizing by default and you need another launcher but ones like the calendar do.
Thank You Everyone
That kind of bums me out a bit... don't get me wrong i love some other launchers and stuff but i kind of like having my blinkfeed etc and keeping my phone like it currently is, just wish this was a function built in.....
Hi there,
just got my M8, running fine so far but what annoys me is that half-circle launcher that launches Google Now in the lockscreen at the bottom of the screen, you know that one below the dock icons. I always open up that because I swipe too low. Is there any way to remove that?

I wanted to remove it on my M7 too, but there is no way to do it. You know you posted in wrong thread, right? This is M7, not M8 forum [emoji4]
Oops, you are right, sorry for that. Well I got my answer anyway. Gotta live with it I guess

I'm running Gummy's AOSP nightlies (wonderful rom) and after I unlock (knock), I have clouds floating above all the other layers. They appear for 3-4 seconds and then disappear on their own OR I have to touch I have to touch the screen to get rid of them before I can interact with the 'desktop'.
I can't figure out for the life of me what the heck is controlling this or how to turn it off. It's on any static or live wallpaper, or theme I try and even across home apps (I use Nova Prime, but it happens on Google Now and Trebuchet).
I removed all weather apps and it still happens. I've got tons of other apps, but I'm hoping someone knows what this is before I start from scratch and build up.
Anyone know what this annoying cloud is? I swear I've searched for days and can't find a mention of it.

By chance do you have Beautiful Widgets? There is an unlock animation option in it that reflects the current weather.

YES!!!! That was it. Thank you!
Hi guys,
I've done a quick search, sorry if this has been covered. I've just recently picked up a p20 pro after a couple years with Google pixel.
Really happy with it so far, the only thing is I'd like to swipe up to access the app drawer.
I know about nova launcher and converting to 'stock' android. My question is how would I keep all the features currently on EMUI with the only mod being so I can swipe up to access app drawer.
Thanks in advance
nope, not possible and if i have to be honest then i like it just as is without a app drawer to begin with. Nice and easy all icons on the main screen from the start but i do think that in the new Pie releases that i have seen the swipe up drawer but cant confirm.
I know what you mean. I can't work out if it's habit or I actually prefer an app drawer. But I do find myself wanting one for some reason.
Can I hide/alter the Google search bar on EMUI or simply just move it?
Thanks again

i just removed my google search bar and im using the one in the google feed. I get your point tho because when i just got my p20 pro i also was missing the swipe up to get to my apps. Back then i had multiple folders on my homescreen filled with apps and i had turned off the "add app to homescreen" after install so that i had to do everything manually but in the end it takes more work this way and even had some folders with the same app which is retarded of course
Now i also got a couple of folders and 1 is called system where i put in all app related to the system or apps that i wont use so that the homescreen stays more clean
