Hello All,
I recently installed a Rom from the international htc one forums and I am encountering the problem where my data is constantly switching between G, 2G, and 4G. I tried installing the t-mobile radio but it still does not fix this issue. Any help to fix this problem would be appreciated, thanks!. ( I originally posted this in the tmobile htc one help section and got no response so I thought I would try it here)
What ROM did you install?

Android Revolution. I tried installing a different rom after to see if that fixed the problem, but the connection issues continued.
I assume you're on T-Mobile? Android revolution 8.0 had the same problem for me. Version 9 included updates to fix it. If you select T-Mobile in the aroma installer it should fix data connectivity issues. At least it did for me.

I download version 9 and it fixed the switching, but now 4g is only working in reframed areas. My reframed coverage is pretty lacking so this is now a problem.

So I flashed my ME863 to a brazilian retail XT860 rom in order to install CM9 in safestrap. However I lost my connection, no gsm. I discovered too that when I choose a radio mode in the menus, it auto selects the next one instead of the one I chose (not sure how to explain, maybe a bug?). I tried to flash willis11's old data patch aswell, but then the phone would get stuck at the CM9 bootup screen. Any suggestions?
Is it possible the "old" Willis patch you used was made for gingerbread (not ics)?

Tried it with the 'new' patch too. Same result. Thought the kexec cm9 had gsm umts native support?
Is the new one you tried the one from here http://dl.hash-of-codes.com/ROMs/solana/cm9/ ?

No it wasn't! It was from an old thread I found. Will try to flash it tomorrow. I will report back!
Edit: got radio working, max of 2 radio bars though. I think it's just visual bug?

Your ME863, is it from Asia region like Hong Kong or Taiwan??
Is the signal greatly improved after flashing to Brazilian Rom?
I have an ME863 from Hong Kong and signal strength is very disappointing. Afraid to flash it to Brazilian Rom and bricking it.
Hope you can enlight me pls. Thanks
The two bars thing is a bug indeed.
I am about two years removed from the whole custom ROM scene and am coming back to it with my recent purchase of an HTC One.
I've done some reading but can't really figure out if I can just flash any old ROM in the HTC One forum?
I'd like to also backup my stock firmware and ROM.
Any info and or links one of you might have handy?
/begging
Thanks!
I am using a bell HTC one and I have flashed the latest ARHD and trickdroid Roms with no problem I also flashed the latest radio baseband as detailed in the development section and noticed an improvement in cellular signal. I have seen lte speeds of 40 Mbits up and 30 down.

Thanks very much for the info!
So I could conceivably flash one of those ROMs without needing to flash the newer firmware?
If I do update the firmware, it needs to be done before the ROM?
Thanks again!
No problem.
As for the firmware...I didn't touch it.
I
1) unlocked bootloader
2) pushed cwm
3) flashed ARHD, tried it then flashed Trickdroid
4) flashed the updated radios (after making a backup)
I think the firmware is really for the international version.

Ok thanks!
A couple more dumb questions that I hope you can answer for me?
Can I backup the stock ROM/radio and flash back to that at some point (after flashing to a custom ROM/radio)? If so, any place you can point me to read up on the process?
Did you notice an improvement on charge times and battery life with any of the new custom ROMs?
Cheers.
Yes the are instructions in the development section on how to flash and backup the radio.

[HOW-TO]Flash latest Radio in Recovery
I am not the expert but I think you can perform a nandroid backup of stock Rom from the recovery.
As for charge time I think it didn't change ( still long ) but I do not have any scientific data to back that up. To tell you the truth, I didn't spend much time on stock so I don't know about stock battery life.

Hi,

Thank you
Hi guys, I couldn't find an answer using search so I'm turning to you for some help.
I converted my T-Mobile One into a GPe One. I'm still running a T-Mobile radio from the latest stock Sense available to T-Mobile. My question is, can I flash a GPe radio or will this brick my device? Since the GPe One is specific to AT&T.
Any help clearing this up will be appreciated!!

You should be fine although now the OTA for 4.3 is available you might want to flash the radio for that which can be found in this post
Yeah pretty much any radio will work, as long as it's not a sprint one lol.

I followed this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781
to convert a t-mobile HTC One to Google Edition. Worked flawlessly, I even just got the OTA update to 4.3 (although I have not applied it yet, there may be an issue with the camera - trying to find more info)
You obviously have to do more than just the above post to get to GE (S-OFF, etc.) so if you have any questions I can probably try to point you in the right direction since I just did it.
hello everyone. im using att htc one that is rooted using viperone 2.6.0. the rom is great!!. im using t-mobile us but my problem is that i only get edge data. is it possible to get 4g ?? another stupid question. is it possible to load t-mobile software on it??. i really want to be able to get 4g on my phone. please help guys. i thank you all in advance.
You don't need to run tmo "software" on it. All GSM ones basically can run the same roms/software as far as custom roms go.
Have you checked your apn in settings? My guess is the current T-Mobile lte apn isn't selected or added.

Hi i have a refurbished sprint htc one and data roaming option is missing from it.
I tried bad boyz rom, stock with goodies 4.3 sense 5 and also sense 5.5 roms, stock 4.1.2 rom.
Now I am on stock 4.3 rom but I still do not have option to enable data on roaming.
How can I fix this issue.
I read about updating prl list. But I am on GSM network. Will PRL help me. I have another Sprint HTC one with different PRL (prl 51765) . This phone has data roaming enabled.
If any one has insights on this please let me know.
