Hi folks
so let me tell you what has happened to my Note. So short battery time isn't something unknown on JB roms from Samsung. But this is something awful.

OK, one more thing ofc is that when my Note goes below 50% the screen starts to flicker, or backlight that is.
So my question is: Is my battery dead or is it something with my Note? Has anyone had this kind of problem?
Thx

I dont see any reason for issues except your screen power utilization is high...can you try to install apk night mode which can help to reduce your screen brightness. Also do a "Clear Dalvik Cache" if possible install the lates gapps and try should fix the problem. Let me know.
I just got the new battery will try it and see what happens.

I hv JB stock rom on my Note, which i updated recently from ICS.
Battery drain so fast everyday.
I browsed through internet website and found some help as below.
1. backup all data needed.
2. factory reset
3. wipe cache
4. reboot.
battery drain problem solved.
Try clean wipe....
May you got dirty wipe...
Just my opinion...
Sorry for my bad english

So it's been 2 days since my new battery arrived and all's fine. No more flickers and after all day of using and with me it means from 4:30 am till 11:00 pm i was left with 23% of battery.
So the issues was the battery not the roms, kernel, or anything else.
Thx people for all of your advices and help.

yes the samsung batteries are pretty ordinary, one of my friends had a battery failure after 8 months. try not overclocking for an optimum battery performance.

Hello,
I have a problem with the battery drain on my galaxy s plus.
When the phone is standby its using 40-60mA. When I have lucky at night it is 20-40mA.
I didn't find the problem. 4 weeks ago with my htc desire and same apps and settings the battery used 8-12mA in standby day and night.
3G and Wifi always on.
Standard 2.3.5 rom. Push apps: gmail, gtalk an whatsapp (same as on the desire).
Yesterday rooted and deleted a lot of system apps to clean up the rom. Flash this morning a custom kernel with CWM. Nothing helps
I was happy with the bigger battery but with this battery drain.....
Has someone a idea?
Are there more people with same problem?

Greeting guys. Im newbie with samsung ace. For all i love this device. But why my bat drains so fast? Is it normal?
I could charge my ace three times a day. Or maybe my bat was damaged?

Very fast battery drain is normal for this phone. There are lots of battery related threads, people have gone to great lengths to make the battery last longer.
Right now I can use it for about 9-10 hours constant usage, no rests (internet browsing/IM/some music/few phone calls/syncing On - all with a very bad 2G internet connection) before it runs out of juice completely. But that's after underclocking, reducing display brightness, installing JuiceDefender and a few other measures.
I check battery usage on the phone. And i didnt expected! My cell standby use almost 60% bat! What a sock!
I'll try 2xbatterysaver. And my packet data turn off when screen gets off. :sly:

Just use the deep sleep option to make ur fone go to sleep..i use deep sleep for about 12 hours each day ..
(its not deep sleep..its drunken sleep )
You can use Battery Monitor Widget to view the app's with more consumption of energy. What ROM you use? In CM7.2 u can do underclock easy.
Yes! Thanks! I already get cm7 recently. You know, my batt pretty awesome now! Nice rom.
Thanks for your info.

In your hunt to save more and more battery, eventually you'll notice that if you're giving max priority to the battery save, your phone's performance is related in inverse.
Such as, if you use Juice Defender, (I bought Ultimate), it shuts off the wifi / data while screen is off. and when we turn screen on, it will switch on back. During its switch on, phone will lag.
I have been using Ace for 8 months now, what I finally chose is performance. fak the battery life, enjoy the speed.
say what?!

I already have one, but not sure is it true 2000 mAh or not because not printed at the battery at all. Can I check it somewhere in phone settings or information?

Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Pff I don't call it drain, I call it waste...
I thought LS7 was bad, but LSA is really crazy...
Losing 20% battery in 2 hours while the screen is off and the phone is idle/standby.
the battery drain in the jb leak was pretty high ...so I moved to alliance jb rom . my battery life is decent now.
I just did a whole day at uni with heavy use for most the day wifi on nearly the whole day.... after 11 ish hours i had 15% left ..... ultimate lsa.... seems good to me.
No. LSA is greattt here

No clue though why 2 programs say that it's 7h+, but the other says 9h+
I never had battery issues on LS7.
When I first flashed LSA it was draining like mad.
No other problems though. After two days of 'burn in'
without any improvement, I decided to wipe cache+dalvik+battery.
Result : Bootloop. Only solution, full wipe + 3formats and reflash.
After this my battery life is normal.
Hope my story will help some, just wipe and reflash.....
Oh and I didn't recover anything by titanium, I just reinstalled my apps from playstore
both times I flashed.
Just for being complete: I followed the flash instructions of the OP as usual

Have you tried Re-calibrating the battery with this APP
Run Battery right down > Plug in Charger and open up Battery Calibrate > Follow what it says
What browser are you using?... Dolphin mini Browser is good
Apps running in the background?
Changed kernel?
Put a picture up of Battery usage it may help

Kernels - Custom kernels give improvements that give us additional features from our hardware that the stock kernel does not
Examples include overclocking a device to frame rate issues, Kernels are involved with that. Its up to you to choose the best kernel to use with a ROM. You can always stick with the one that comes with a custom ROM. Some common terms are oc [over clocked], UV [under volted], etc.
I dont know a lot about CM Roms Im a GB Rom guy
But there are many kernels to choose from and when someone Makes a Rom they try and use the best provided for there Rom but isnt great if you have issues with it.
But could be kernel, modem, brightness settings, apps or things you have running in the background
Can you put up a picture/screenshot of your battery usage?

Hello people,
first of all I want to say that I know there are more questions like this one, but I couldn't find an up-to date one.
I'd prefer an ICS or later rom since.. well the GB roms are quite outdated, but if you know a rom which offers a great battery life don't hesitate to tell about it.
I'm corrently using CM10 unofficial from Pengus77:

Hello!
I'm using Paranoid Android and I like it a lot. Battery life is really great. I'm using my phone from morning till the night and almost always battery last long enough. I'm using it for surfing, listening music, phone calls, messages so I think that this is really nice rom.

Wise choice.
Note: Don't judge the battery too fast. Wait till it have done a few cycle charges (meaning: plug charger in at a low battery percentage, keep it charching till its 100% - repeat few times.).

Yes, I will (although a lot of people say you should only charge to 80/90% to not overcharge your battery)
What governor are you all using btw? just normal interactive?
Update: installed the rom, all my apps, filled in my preferences/personal customisation etc. and I lost about 25%
so everything seems to go quite well with this rom.
Just one question:
what is a good alternate theme instead of the xperia one?

Well, here are the results of the PA rom:
As you can see the battery life is MUUUCH better. This is at almost the same usage as seen on the other screenshot so It's a fair comparison.
