SystemUI.apk can someone halp me with decompileing? - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,

Did you check up PowerOff.apk ? If you know how to open it and modify apk files, try to explore poweroff.apk.
Someone says shutdown images are in that file.
It's in /system/app/PowerOff.apk
but I`m not sure other types of O2X have same apk and modyfing method.
I recently succeeded modifying shutdown animation. As I wrote, Changing images and xml will be needed in PowerOff.apk
I hope it helps you

so you cant instal instagram ??? tell more about problem
The problem is as follows:
I went into Playstore to install Instagram, however when I'm on the Instagram official page; it states that "This device is not compatible with Instagram", as such I am unable to install Instagram on my GingerDX v29, are there any other ways to go about installing Instagram?

Can you be slightly more precise about "Edit build.prop"? Pardon me 'cause I'm not exactly good with phones :\
Ro.prop.device=x8 find that line delete x8 and add shakira not sure those lines are correct but its something like that
Sent from my E15i using xda premium
Where do I go about deleting the 'x8' from 'Ro.prop.device=x8' and add 'shakira'? On the computer? On the phone? On which programme? On which app? Sorry, I am terrible in such mechanics

Next time I am on stock I will do it, maybe later tonight.
you can get the systemui.apk by downloading a stock ftf, extracting the system.sin useing winrar, use flashtool to extract the .sin then ext2explorer to find the systemUI.apk...but i will upload it later...

[Q]Notification Toggle Modification

How does one modify the stock systemui.apk to move the clock up as seen in this screenshot?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/j5g3fcyms5dt51u/user4592646_pic34952_1366205986.png

I would ask him or her but we seem to have communication errors :/
I thought about doing that. It looks nice. Should be easy.
Find /res/layout/status_bar_expanded_header.xml and swap whole linearlayout including id/tools with whole linearlayout including clock, dateview, etc. View including drawable/status_bar_hr is that white line, so put the whole view anywhere between linearlayout's, as many times you want.
Okay so I need that notepad ++ thing right?

Yes but the thing is that I am using a modified version of the systemui.apk. I'm too stupid to repeat how to do it again :/
Crashes? Hmm, I guess I would need V framework to make it properly.

Ok. Hold on.
Aaron - You deleted stat_sys_battery and gps_anim, didn't you?
You cannot delete things from apk this way.
Send me untouched SystemUI.
Erm i did that to make a minimalism status bar. :/
I dont have a stock one either :/
Aaron - try it now.
And the docomo toggles... Those are tested.
Of course I take no credits for the toggles.
