I rooted my phone the 1st time while on v10e and got the "SuperSU". Later after I updated to v20a Jelly bean, I rooted it again for the 2nd time and now I have "SuperUser". Some of my apps now ask for root access from both of them.
Question: should i keep them both or just one of them? If only one, which one is better?

Supersu works perfectly in JB. Keep it. Tight it to system app in Supersu options.

go at the "manage applications" find super su and clear caches..that should work
I think SuperSU isn't working well, so I revert back to SuperUser by ChainsDD

When the update is finally official, it will be shown in the software update app on our device, right? If we update then, will it keep root and all apps? Also messaging app manually installed(from optimus g)?

Root will be removed. Apps and settings stays intact. Don't know about messaging app. If you flashed it in system instead default app it will be removed I think, but if you installed it from apk file like any other app it will stay. I installed with method similar to hacked lg suite method and everything is in place and working ok.
Edit:
I forgot to say that my phone wasn’t rooted.

Since LG unlocked the boot loader Im sure you will still be able to root when the update is official.
Hi guys,
Some questions here:
1. I was just exploring my O4X with my Titanium Backup when I realized my superuser app isn't listed in Backup/Restore tab. Is there anyway we can do to show the app?
2. When I first rooted my phone, the given superuser app is superuser. Is it possible to use SuperSU instead? I find SuperSU much more user friendly and it's got some features that superuser doesn't.
3. Related to question no. 1 & 2, supposing I've installed SuperSU, is it safe and possible to simply uninstall the superuser app using Titanium Backup and let SuperSU take over the superuser stuff?
Any replies will be greatly appreciated.
PS. It's March 31 in Indonesia and still no sign of official JB update.

To backup Superuser or SuperSU is useless, you need always to install it because of binary.
Installing SuperSU in system will uninstall Superuser automatically but if you don't want to install it in system, you can delete /uninstall Superuser like any other app without losing ROOT (after install SuperSU, it takes control over Superuser)

I actually tried installing both apps and it seems like nothing is happening. The only problem is that I can't remove the superuser, it doesn't show up anywhere not even in Titanium Backup.
Thanks for your reply though

Download SuperSU from play store , open it , tgen go to the setting tap ,, then check the "enable SuperSU" .
Then goto "install SuperSU into /system" .
That is all .

Managed to remove Superuser. Turned out you have delete the apk from /system/app
Thanks everyone from replying

Which one should I keep between Superuser and SuperSU?
I rooted my v10e using Chainfire's tooks and got SuperSu. Then I updated it to v20a then rooted it and got the Superuser, which then resulted in my having both SuperUser and SuperSU. My SuperSU didn't have any su binary, so I reflashed SuperSU and updated the binary and now I have both functioning SuperUser and SuperSU.
Which should I keep and how to remove Superuser if I were to keep SuperSU? There isn't any option for total unroot like in SuperSU.

I use Superuser but its the same with SuperSU
Download from Play store Root Unistaller and uninstall the one that you dont like
Also in this way you can delete every System App that you dont like!

The app sounds powerful. Will the app also free up the internal memory if I uninstall the system apps?

@AzureV
between SuperUser and SuperSU i prefer SuperSU. Seems better for me.
To use SuperSU open it and it should tell you to install or update binary. Do it the 'Normal' way when prompted.
Then to remove SuperUser, go to settings, and scroll down to the bottom. There should be a section with option to cleanup to switch Super user app, and below it is something for you to 'Uninstall other Super user app'. Touch this one.
SuperUser should be gone after that.

OOO Yeah
0both are the same but I tend to keep Superuser because I find that SuperSU drains my battery more (don't know why...)

How could you tell that the battery drain was due to SuperSU?

Hi there,
Few days ago I rooted my phone with vroot or 360 root (I don't remember hehe).
I've few question about Superuser app:
- should I replace this program if so how?
- the program offers to upgrade apps should I do that? Why are more updated/recent than playstore?
- what does means: clean boot? should I do that?
Thanks a lot and sorry to be so noob

I replaced it. Just downloaded superSU from Play Store (I actually use pro version but free will work also). Make sure you open it and update the binaries when it asks. Then freeze the Chinese superuser with titanium backup
