Work is progressing on it. If you'd looked in all of the Touchpad forums, you would have found an oft-beaten thread about it in Touchpad General. It's being worked on, and will come when it is ready. Please don't ask for a date, because nobody knows, and the more you ask, the slower dev's will work.

i have to disagree. theres been no news since the little teaser video. who knows if anyone is still working on it. its being held behind closed doors so no one else can contribute. and people are basically saying "no one else talk about it or work on it because there might sorta be this one guy who may still be working on it but you may never know". and its kinda sad cause it feels like we are waiting as if this was a manufacturer release which is not what these forums are about.

+1^^ If we just had something, we could all work on it and give advice/opinions. Things could/would be moving at a much faster rate.

i saw that. its very interesting. a shame that its not daily driver ready. but, finally! an update! and, something actually released to public. this is more what xda is about.

its very smooth and there dont seem to be THAT many bugs besides the fact that audio does not work what so ever. Wifi works fine. Video doesnt seem to work either at least not in the youtube app it just says to retry. So ya def not a daily driver but besides all the driver stuff it is smooth.

Its a placebo effect. I have a Gnex with real JB, and the experience isn't even close. I'm convinced that project butter has a lot to do with the kernel now, because, cm9 nightlies still feels quicker, even with UI interactions. Which is mostly what JB is about.
Not trying to troll, just saying it like it is, with an unbiased opinion.. I want it to be butter smooth, as much as, anyone else here.

for true "project butter" you need more advanced hardware acceleration. since hardware acceleration isnt working at all, its indeed not as smooth as it could be. butter is made up of faster frame rate ui animations that do work, and an old gaming trick called triple buffering. this is why one person will say its smoother, while another will say its less smooth.

So I had JB installed. I plugged my touchpad in and it registered as charging last night. Woke up with 0 battery. So in other words, it wasn't actually charging. Now my touchpad won't turn on at all. I get the plug that says unauthorized charger that everyone just loves!
Don't use this ROM!! If devs can read this, take off the link until that problem is fixed. Now I won't be able to use this for at least 24 hours...

I installed it yesterday and it charges just fine. Something went wrong with your flash or charger cause there are no issues in that regard....

Well, I don't know about everybody... But I don't have my original charger, so I use an extra charge block from an older Palm Pre... These are apparently lower in output amperage and when the unit is completely off will by default give a message about using the correct charger, but it does indeed charge although slowly, this message has nothing to do with the flashing as it did this bare stock... HOWEVER, after flashing this CM10 ROM I too woke up to mine being completely dead even though it was plugged in all night... The ROM was running great the little bit I had to play with it so far... I did not have this issue with the CM9 ROM, but can't help thinking that this not using the correct charging block has something to do with this issue... So don't feel bad, it's not just you, I have the EXACT same problem as you have stated... I'm charging with the unit off now and will do further testing, hopefully an easy fix for this surely... I want it to charge regardless of the block amperage, I have different chargers all around the house and office and have always used them all in the past without issue... I am a first time poster to XDA, but a far cry from a NOOB, and look forward to contributing more into the future...

P.S. - Great work guys on these android ROMS’s, I am/was a webOS lover like many of you I’m sure and just hate how that project has gone down the drain, it was without doubt, and remains, the best concept for a phone/tablet OS PERIOD... I used my Pre 3 and TouchPad stock right up to the point of becoming sickened by the lack of apps and long term device selection option... I do however love android and now have a newer Android phone for the obvious reasons (APPs, support, performance, latest hardware, etc) and am thrilled the good ol’ Touchpad is so capable... I really wasn't aware of how great the specs were on this thing until I looked into the CM9 flash... Plus I love flashing and customizing anyway... Much thanks to the DEVS that make this possible!!!... :good:

Charging problem as well
I installed the cm-10-20121216-Experimental-tenderloin... on Jan 3rd and it appeared that everything went well in the installation except that my TP won't charge while running CM10. I have to reboot into webOS to charge (using original TP charger) and after charging is complete I reboot back to CM10. Any suggestions for fixing this issue? Also, battery seems to drain much faster on CM10 than webOS. Is that normal? Other than the charging issue I'm loving my TP more than ever.

I can also tell you that after I ordered the proper high amp tablet USB charger block the problem is fixed without changing this option as well, but this is great and allows it to charge on a standard USB computer port as well, although slowly... Thank you guys for the support on this!!!...

Running latest version by JC and I am having no problems. I am using it as a daily.

I also installed this.
just turn on mtp device mode in settings>storage and tap 3 circles on top right. and enable mtp.

Lower Mic Not Working. Callers Can't Hear Me. PLEASE ADVISE!

I don't know what happened. All of a sudden callers can't hear me while I can hear them. I did some research and it looks like the lower mic is out. When I try to record my own voice I can barely hear it. Speaker phone worked with callers for a while, but now all of a sudden they can't hear me on speaker phone either.
I'm thinking it might have been water damage or my cat did knock my phone off my bedside table twice, but I don't really know the cause for sure.
I can't afford to buy another phone right now. I really need to find a way to fix this.
Please advise. All suggestions welcome!

Afraid not.

I hope someone can chime in with info on how to help... you may want to JUST FOR KICKS try flashing a different ROM and pray it is a software error...although I doubt it.
Guess a solution...absent having to do hardware repair... is use a Bluetooth or wired headset
Does anyone know if the mic is hardwired into the mobo or if it is an aux attachment?

Please add info about your phone, ROM, rooted? better would be screen shot your about phone page and attach it. here is what I did to my Note N-7000 when it had such problem.
When I found out this problem my phone had ICS 4.0.4 fully rooted with safe kernel. First thing I did, backed up all my apps (Titanium Backup root), contacts (Super backup App.) etc. Then did a Factory reset from settings. Tested my phone by talking to my wife in other room, was working fine. Then I looked into apps I had installed and removed I did not really wanted. And it worked.
So I would suggest you to do same before thinking of flashing any other ROM if you are happy with the one you got.

I was on a custom JB rom (RocketRom) ... wiped everything and switched to one of the newer ICS leaks ... (AllianceRom) Didn't make any difference, unfortunately.
I'm thinking it has to be hardware, and I'm going to have to open this sucker up and see what I can see.

im betting its your dock cable...... it houses the mic also.. not a wallet breaker if its installed by a quality shop either... or brave it and diy... either way im banking it fixes your problem...

Ah yes, of course you are correct. I mixed the two up in my post. Was on ICS, now on JB.
Strange thing ... A short while after switching to JB, I noticed the the voice recorder function is working again. It was not before, but now I can actually hear recordings I make. Also Speaker Phone is working again, so callers can hear me as long as I use that option.
Youtube, yes, that is my next option.

You may want to try a gingerbread ROM for kicks

not its happening with me . it comes and goes automatically . its a hardware issue when I insert and remove charger it goes.

CM based roms crashes while being charge??

As the title says, why do they do that? It happens on 10.1 and 10.2 Something will crash (GAPPS probably?) and it reboots itself. This only happens while it is being charged, whether it be home charger or car charger. It is annoying when I'm using GPS while driving. I'm having it charge at this moment and from what I see, it has rebooted 3 times in the last 20 mins. Is this normal guys? I don't want to go back to stock for stability, but less features.

Out of curiosity, are you using a custom kernel?

No, it's the kernel that came with the rom.

If you can, do this on the next crash.
Go directly into recovery after the crash/loop/freeze, and run "adb shell cat /proc/last_kmsg | tee -a /external_sd/last_kmsg.txt" and post the last_kmsg.txt here.

Any help here reading the log??
I read somewhere that the AHD or motorola phones in general are picky with what usb cable you use, generic/other oem cables. It has to be OEM motorola? I'm using a samsung charger and cable that also charge my samsung skyrocket with no problem. I decided to try out Carbon ROM and it's still doing this crapp..reboots at home and car charger..please help.

My AHD has not had any problems using various USB cables and chargers from different manufacturers. I also had Carbon Rom on my phone and it always worked with any charger/usb cable combination I tried. I'm not sure why some owners encounter this issue while others have not.

Yea it's weird. I got my phone brand new. I just rsd to att jellybean, root, bootloader unlocked it, cwm..then immediately flash to CM 10.1..noticed the charging reboots...So I moved up to CM 10.2....charging reboots still persist. I thought something was wrong with my kernel...So I tried Carbon rom..still reboots when it's plug in for charging. Other than than, roms was working perfect with tons of customization. I couldn't stand it cause it will reboot while plug in for GPS usage/driving. Now I'm trying out Mexico retail and see how it goes.

Yea could be CM kernel, not my charger/cables lol...Actually I've been using mexico retail rom all day today...charging in the car, charging at home...no reboots whatsoever. I kinda like it for its simplicity however I do wish I can do a little changes to it.. here and there. I am waiting on updates on holoblur and android pizza rom. Hopefully he can work out the kinks with google now and voice bugs.

I had Mexico retail for a bit but switched to the latest version of Holoblur which I find much nicer than MR.

atrix hd cm 10.2 tab 2 7.0 lost or stolen

I'm not sure if it's about charging...with the latest CM10.2 nightly my AHD freezes sometimes when the phone uses LED lights (e-mail messages, charging, notifications..etc.)...it's strange for me...but it happens somehow.

Stealth Bastard starts lagging if i'm not touching display for 2 secons, but when i touch it lags disappear

my 13 dollars flip cover i got from ebay works with the auto on and off.
and most gameloft games are working for me, like dungeoun hunter 4 or modern combat. they are intense games as well

i suggest a re flash, with factory reset, dalvik cache and cache wipe, and format system in mounts and storage.

Is there anything we're waiting for to get "official" status from Cyanogenmod? Is there anything I can help with? I'm not a proficient dev, but I'm not above tedious work.

I was also wondering what is involved in the process of getting "official" status from CM. I am also willing to help if there's anything I can do. My build has been running quite nice lately. Would love to the TF701T on get.cm

I just saw the new build. Will try it out tonight.

2/15 Build
Any problems I was seeing with earlier builds tend to be non-existent now. This is a very solid build! Which leads me to believe that seeing TF701T on the official CM servers isn't too far off. Nice work pershoot!

The binary error is due to there being a couple different versions of this phone.
We'vre got a c50, ms345, and a h345 recovery. The mpcs ROM is only built to flash on the ms recovery since lollipop looks at the device name and not the hardware set when flashing ROMs on certain recoveries.

Been using this as a daily driver since the second week of Jan. It pretty solid. I use tasker to enable GPS automaticly when needed, this has solved my reboot issues... occasionally still have one now and then but I honestly can't remember when the last one was. I also use Power Cam in the Play Store and video recording is ok.

I also use powercam to record video. However, I get a bit frustrated when i see that its recording in 480p when the camera is 1080p. Just curious does this happen to you as well?

Anyone have any luck getting camera to save to ext sd. Mine just says insert sd.

I found a download link in another place now this is not the problem the problem is that im getting a bsod

Any one else experiencing severe battery drain on this ROM? I woke up at 8:30 with 75% battery and fell to 66% within not even 15 minutes.

Three step process.
1. Set up a wake lock detector, see if any apps are waking the phone while it is at rest.
2.always make sure any features you don't need at the moment are off.
3.download a CPU monitor and let it measure your usage down to the last 15 percent, if anything seems out of the norm. Try and find a countermeasure.
I personally had an issue with the CPU ramping up to max clock speed at the slightest tap on the screen and the CPU would not ramp back down for almost 8 seconds.

what is your phone model #?
you have tried another download?
what TWRP you using?
tell us your process - exactly how you are doing things

I use the twrp 2.8.7.0 and my phone is the ms345
I already tried installing cyanogenmod and i had the same problem a bsod

orange or blue TWRP?
have you tried pulling the battery when the screen goes black and rebooting? how long do you wait before you declare it a BSOD?

BLUE TWRP
I have tried to take out the battery and leave the night off charging the battery and the BSOD occurred every time when i turn on my cell phone and after 30 seconds the blue screen appears

Video has been broken for a while. Switching camera apps does not fix it.
