There are someone who can extract the HTC Mail client from an unbranded fimware and post here?
Nice. I really don't like the google official client. More better the HTC one!!!
I use K-9 from the market which uses the default mail app code and has added all the features I actually wanted and use
I use K-9 too and it works great !
how do you delete multiple emails in K-9???
I don't think you can, don't believe any of the mail clients can
i cannot believe that with so many apps in the market no one is bodering to create a proper pop3 email app.
What's not proper about K-9? A HUGE improvement over the default mail app, I had never noticed it didn't have that feature as I tend to read mails before I file them

can anybody point me the right what to get my live account hocked up to my magic

Hi friends
My workplace requires me to sync with their mail exchange server to get all my e-mail & calendars pushed. I've set it all up great on stock but my issue is when I am sent a new meeting request, I have no ability to accept or reject it on the phone. Any ideas on how I can resolve this? I'd prefer to stay on stock until I make sure my phone works fine before venturing into a custom ROM. I am not aware of there being any really good 2.2 ROMs specifically for the Captivate but when I am ready, I just want 2.2 on a simple ROM similar to stock without the bloatware. Any help is greatly appreciated.
no need to use a custom rom to make your mail usable.
i use an app called touchdown on my phone. it is the most complete mail client i have found so far. only downside is that it costs $20. well worth it if you need nearly COMPLETE functionality out of your mail client
i hear good things about k-9 but i couldnt get it to connect to my exchange server so i gave up on it and went with touchdown
I am using the stock app and i am able to accept or reject invites in the email app. They have a calendar icon and i scroll down and hit accept. An email reply pops up and i hit send.

alphadog some reason it doesn't allow me to..just shows a blank e-mail. Can you also create meeting requests and send them to colleagues?

this wasnt working for me when i first got my phone. i just tried it again and it works now....an update or something i did? i dont know, its weird, because just after i got my phone, i was testing it out with some guys at work....
i still find touchdown to be better when it comes to actually reading the emails. full html email support is nice and looks more professional. the stock email client looks like a hack job when it breaks lines mid-word.

I can accept meetings on my phone, but when I go to my calendar and try to create new meetings and add participants, it does not send the invites... Any ideas?
I come to Android from an Iphone and one thing that was really good was its email app; it worked!!.
However android is a bit diffrent. All the email clients i have tried are rubbish. They lag or cant do push emails. Why is android so rubbish with emails?
Can anyone recomend an email client that works?

Hi Folks,
I've come from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a new shiny HTC One which was delivered a couple of hours ago. Just getting set up and was wondering whats your preference for email setup. With my company using Google Apps i've always just gone ahead and used Gmail but was wondering if the 'Mail' app was any better?
Regards
Sam
They are both really good, I guess if you have multiple email accounts the mail app is better than the dedicated gmail one because you could easily switch between accounts

I use the Mail app because I have 4 email accounts so easier to manage, I would still use this app if I only had one gmail account tbh, its much cleaner looking.
Gmail definitely. Don't like the native app.
Probably no help but I have been using both the HTC native mail app as well as the Gmail app. Personally I like the look and feel of the native app but I think I have been just to used to running my email accounts on separate apps, hasn't hurt me yet.

Hi All....i had a similar question. I am having a difficult time with the native email app that it wont scale my e-mails to fit the screen. Can someone please help me with this. The gmail app does it automaticaly....but i cant get the HTC one native app to do the same.
Hi all fellow HTC One owners,
I absolutely LOVE my HTC One, however there is one thing i am really missing.
I have set up all my emails on the HTC Mail app, Yahoo, Live, etc .
However I am unable to add my Gmail account as an exchange account so that i can get push notifications for it. to my understanding thats down to google being an idiot and removin that feature.
Now, I wanted to know if there is a fix or workaround for that? or do we just have to use the Gmail app?
im sure many others would appreciate some clarification as well.
Thanks
Hi, I just made a quick test and it takes 10 seconds to recieve my gmail message sent from my Blackberry. So I think GMAIL works like a push mail. Do have any issues or lates to think you have problem with your mail ?
