Overcome is for P1000 ( GSM) tab. Not suitable for Sprint. It will brick a CDMA tab.

So my dad has a Galaxy Note (n7000), and he wants to install a Jelly Bean rom. But he uses kies everyday, does it still work on jb? If not, any fixes available?

Wait for official release it won't take more than a few days
Tapatalking on my n7000
Why don't he use Android ? I think Android is much better than Kies air, free and support any rom. Most of the time i have disconnection issues on Kies. Once you try Android you never use kies.

Kies does work for backup and all on stock JB leaks.. just the firmware upgrade is the one that doesnot work. i am sure he wont be using it every day
Thanks... Ill tell him to wait for official jb

Hello everyone,
a few days ago i read that its possible to upgrade the android version on my galaxy s from 2.3 to 4.0, so i studied a lot of threads how to do that.
Yesterday i rootet my galaxy with the semaphore kernel 2.7.4 (for actual system infos check the screenshot below). Before this, my Firmware was at 2.3.3, the Basisbandversion (i don't know the english term) was JW6.
How can i update my firmware to 4.0? Is there also a semaphore Kernel?

I'm not exactly sure because it's a long time ago since i was on 4.0
But i tought you have to install Cyanogenmod 7 first befor you flash any other 4.0 Rom.
If exist i would flash SlimBean

Guide to install ICS & JB:
1. Installing Ice-cream Sandwich 4.0.4 On Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000
2. Installing Jelly Bean 4.1 on Galaxy S GT-I9000
Hey guys,
A friend of me asked me if I can flash a custom rom on his i9000.
As you can see I have the i9001 so I dont know what the best rom is etc.
So whats the fastest and battery friendly rom for the i9000?
And flashing CWM must be done trough Odin right? Because with the i9001 we can instaal cwm through stock recovery.
Thanks in advance

Check my How to Guide at my signature (below)
Jumping from one Rom to another usually consists of flashing JVU then rooting > flashing your new Rom

This depends on your area , what you use the most... example....internet, wifi, games etc...
Sometimes depends on Modem and Kernel also...
There are many stable Roms out there it all depends on your preference
