Hi,
Okay, I know how to root the GSM HTC One, as there are many tutorials online telling me how to.
The problem is that I'm using a Telstra branded (An Australian carrier) HTC One.
So, will the GSM method work? and if not, can you please give me the things needed to root my Telstra HTC One, if any?
My software number is: 1.19.841.2
My build number is: 1.29.841.2 CL164689 release-keys
If there are any other details you need, just tell me and I'll put them up.
I'm really new to XDA, so forgive me if I left anything out.
Thanks in advance

Then install TWRP I think.
Let us know how you go.
Not sure if Telstra use a different radio to run NextG @ 850mHz or not?

Does this actually work on the Telstra HTC One? I've flashed both TWRP and CWM Touch on the Telstra HTC One, and while the flash works, trying to actually reboot into recovery does not.. it goes to the HTC white screen with a brief flash of red text at the bottom, then a black screen, then reboots into system normally... no recovery...
Am I missing something?

Yeah I flashed it on my Telstra HTC One.
The same thing happened to me when I flashed the normal TWRP recovery, and then I tried the AT&T version of the TWRP recovery which fixed it.

Hmm.. I tried downloading what I thought was the AT&T one, and that's the result I had. Let's assume I'm missing something.. Any chance you can link me to the correct recovery to flash? Please? ^_^

I guess here is a problem.
I flashed CWM recovery and new HoliCakes kernel and had to use HoliRaider ROM because Stock ROM couldn't boot up.
Is it possible to rolllback at this point?

Right after you installed the recovery you should do a back up if your planning on flashing roms and kernels so that way you have your original rom to fall back on. So to answer your question..if you didnt do a back up then no, you will have to load the rogers ruu. Sucks I did the same thing too before.

yeah, it sucks. too bad I had that backup and then deleted it.
you mentioned
>you will have to load the rogers ruu.
does it mean I can still use a stock Rogers RUU ROM posted in this thread to revert the phone even though I lost my original ROM backup ?
Yeah you can flash the ruu...it will revert your phone back to stock then you can go through the steps of unlocking your boot loader, install the recovery and root your phone then flash a custom rom if you like.

Hi, I have searched and I have tried, reaching out...
Desire C Cricket HBOOT 1.63 Radio 0.92.00.0903 Unlocked Bootloader S-On
I was trying to put a recovery on and root after unlocking bootloader and for whatever reason I cannot get into any recovery other than stock. Once in stock I cannot flash anything. Only thing I could tell was previous owner had a customer kernel on it but now I cannot get past the HTC red writing screen.
Normally in this situation I would go back to stock via PL01DIA.zip update in bootloader but I cannot find a viable one for this specific device.
OK, somehow got a working CWM Recovery. But I cannot get any roms to boot past the HTC red writting screen. Does anyone out there have a full CWM backup of a working Cricket rom?

Thanks guys! Sorry for bugging around this forum. Anyone with CDMA ping me, I'm not finding any friends I need a clean back up of any Cricket rom from CWM since it looks like the RUU was never made.
Or, if anyone knows how to change the CID on this phone without S-off. Just looking to make it an MP3 player.

You can't flash a bootloader that is not intended for your phone variant, you will brick it. But wait, you are talking about TWRP which is not the bootloader, its the recovery. You can't neither flash a recovery that is not intended for your phone variant!! Recovery and bootloader version have absolutely nothing to do with the message you got about your sim card.

Stop flashing things that are not intended for your M7VZW !!! You will end up messing your partitions. Go read the forums or ask here before doing thing you don't understand.
There also a specific forum for the Verizon Htc one here, you could probably find more precise information for your phone variant.

You are right, my mistake - I mean recovery flash
I was using HTC HD2 on several androids builds before so I get to use with partition mess
All I neet is to get rid of verizon from my toy. Do you think that flashing fimware, radio etc could help ? Something like described here for m7vzw phones http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46506621 but for m7.
i just used firewater and weaksauce to unlock s-off and root my htc one verizon 1.56 hboot 4.4.2.
everything stated it was successful. bootloader shows unlocked, s-off and i installed twrp successfully.
i attempted to flash viperone and skydragons rom. both installs successfully and then it stuck in a bootloop. i have downloaded the rom multiple times.
i cant get pass the boot loop.....
tried wiping davik, cache.
tried using fix permissions in twrp but it fails.
help please
So just because your phone doesn't boot, you immediately blame firewater/weeksauce? Right...

What TWRP version do you have? Some of the newer ones are unreliable. I myself use 2.7.0.4b by cschmitt and it works very well.

The verizon m7 is also known as m7_vzw, whereas the european LTE variant is called m7_ul.

Hello, i've bought a HTC One X9 dual sim with preinstalled firmware "2.15.401.1" wich is based on marshmallow.
I've unlocked the phone via HTC Dev and flashed TWRP 3 via fastboot.
Now i've done a few modifications in the language .xml files at system/customize/CID and after that my phone doesn't boot.
I see only the HTC Logo, but no sound or animation.
I can't find a ruu or a other way to restore the stock firmware.
I have a TWRP backup, but it doesn't help me.
Can anyone help me?
I think you have to lock your phone back and install original recovery then run factory reset
