[Q] Updating to 2.3.4 without USB?

Hello everyone,
It's been awhile since I've flashed my phone to a newer version due to my USB cable not working. I've tried 2 other cables.
Is there any other way (ex. ROM Manager) or is USB the only way to get the job done?

try cleaning all the usb ports, try different ports, try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, lots of things to try yet....post back and let us know how it goes

I've tried all the things mentioned before. No luck.

Yes, I've tried it on my laptop and on my other desktop.
So is it possible to do it without USB or is USB a must?

[Q] how to unroot LG P970 without USB cable?

Help! My LG p970 is rooted. Now, I want to unroot it but I found that the USB cable doesn't work (I can't even charge me phone),so I want to ask if I can unroot it without USB cable.

You cant use USB cable? How do you charge your phone?

If you are using supersu then there is an option to fully unroot or else search for an app on market. But even I have the same question how do u charge?

I Have a charger that can directly charge the battery.BTW,search for which app in the market ? can u give me the name of it?

Well you could also flash an untouched version via cwm. This would realky be a full unroot then. But thats quite a bunch of work...

I have bought another USB cable, but it doesn't work.

Which ROM did you have installed? If it was any custim ROM, they ll notice it!

I think he means it stopped reading his USB when he connects to his PC, Happened to me when i installed the CM10,2

thankss. I solved my problems. It's MTP and PTP on CM10.2 to connect the phone to PC through USB . I've never used CM 10.2 so i was at fault :laugh:
Ahh. can you help me about internet pass through on this ROM

usb tethering ?!!

i am now running cm 10.2 and every time trying to connect to pc for tethering no thin g happened, so i tried to search the forum about some new drivers for pc or anything else but find nothing !!!! same problem happened with me in the past when flashing vanir.. So, Any one have some ideas ?!

can i ask something ? u want to create a wifi hotspot using the phone ?
or u want to get internet access to your local pc using ur phones' wifi ?

USB tethering .. not" wifi tethering" and i think that this because the drivers on the pc "stock" are for JB 4.0.1 " the last update ". In stock rom when i connect usb with phone and PC and choose usb tethering . from the phone it install driver. and then connect. but in custom rom, after choosing usb tethering >> NOTHING happened !! but wifi tethering is working fine with my laptop also portable hot spot " it is another case that has no problem

No solution till now?! Am i the first one who use usb tethering in custom rom

no u r not the 1st one. but maybe u r one of a few that has this problem. mine worked fine for example...

Actually i was enabling debugging mode
Also i have the same driver setup in my PC
so i redownloaded it and re-install , Nothing happend

But, after that you have connected the Phone, if you go in settings, other, theatering; under USB it says usb connected? ..and if you check theater what happen?

For some reason I can't flash any rom to my phone I plug the otg cable and it's no recognized on the recovery
