I googled this forum, but, maybe I'm missing something, or, simply, there is not yet a thread about it?
Can you suggest me a car dashboard /launcher app to use? :highfive: TY
EDIT: I finally installed Car Home from Google Inc. > http://blog.brianmoses.net/2012/10/manually-installing-googles-car-home-app.html. But I'm still open to suggestions.

Hey all,
First off, I'd like to say i posted this question on evil's NXsense rom thread already, but that thread is pretty dead. I was just wondering if it was possible to regain the nexus one desktop dock bluetooth audio capabilities again.
the only thing i found after searching was this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5721627
can anyone confirm this working?

Try it for yourself... just download a Froyo ROM and pull the apk out of it, then install it on your phone with Sense and see if it works.
just tried, i pulled the clock.apk from TheOfficialNexus1 rom, and installed it. so now i have the stock nexus one clock app, but it doesn't trigger the dock to pair with the phone. any ideas as to which apk(s) it would be? i'm determined to figure this out. any ideas as to how to find out? im currently flashing TheOfficialNexus1 rom on my phone and using a task manager to see what new task pops up when i dock my phone.

I have no clue, but thanks for checking. I'd bet that it's a framework issue. I'm not a coder, but it would be cool if someone made an app that triggered the HTC Desk Clock on docking... it's much nicer than the stock one.

Found this on the net long while. Can't rmb where, and I didn't make it. But it works!
but i was playing around a bit with the framework and I managed to achieve the same result without the apk (result as in the deskclock coming up when charging), but still no audio.
so... after a couple days of cooking and testing, i still haven't managed to get the dock working on the nxsense v1.26. however i did find some info like http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=ke...334736426c8b33;hb=android-msm-2.6.29-nexusone
Maybe it's in the kernel + all the files listed at the beginning of the code? if there are any chefs willing to help teach me a few things, i'd like to start cooking for the nexus one. just need a helping hand to get started. i've had past cooking experience with winmo for the kaiser, but thats about it.
Deleted the original "Samsung" Car Home app. Found that the Samsung car home app in the market appears to be different (no brightness or mute control in the corner) and now want the original one back. Note that I don't want the one from the market and I don't want the google version, I want the one that comes with KB1. Can someone post that apk?
Thank you!
Carl

I miss the HDMI-function, but do not want to go back to 2.3!
I know that HDMI is not fixed and supported on any ROM that is not stock-based (I have 10.1) but is there a solution on the way,
or is there a app that actually works on PlayStore?
Try with trial version of Ultimate Rotation Control from app store, i don't know if really work but if we don't try we don't know

Widescreen works if you use the app "Rotate Settings" and set it to Landscape mode.
no such app on play store... can you be more precise?
Sorry, my fault, the app's name is Ultimate Roration Control (here).
It's possible to try it out for 7 days for free trial to see it it works for your phone.
The app only helps you to make the correct mirroring from the phone (landscape, portraite), not making you get the HDMI work if you haven't made a proper build.prop with ROM Toolbox on the phone first.
It's all over internet to read about how that is done. Search on buld.prop + HDMI and you'll find a lot to read about it and how it's done. I'm a complete (oh well....) female noob and manage to fix it!
Also I did notice that using the HDMI cable I bought separately did not work as it was too big to fit on my LG P990. It wasn't being connected properly into the contact on the phone, the plastic is in the way to go all the way in!
By a coincidence I then found the original LG HDMI-cable in a drawer and it's a significant difference between the two in size.
Hope this info helps you guys!

Been trying to recreate those build.prop settings you were talking about, but no luck googling those. Mind to just share the build.prop tweaks?
Hello, I'm on Cromi-X and running the Sixaxis app and a PS3 controller. I have no problem with the basic functionality - it works just like it does on all my other Asus tablets. However, I have found one kind of big bug and I was hoping someone else could check this for me on their systems. The problem I'm having is a crash every time I try to open up a background image to make a touch profile. This is the "Change Background" button under the "edit touch profiles." Every time I select "Change Background" it crashes (actually it says Unfortunately...has stopped), it doesn't drop back to desktop, only to the previous menu level in the program.
I can build a touch profile, drop buttons and joysticks and it will work, but it's very much trial and error process without being able to import a screenshot to overlay while you are working. Has anyone else seen this? I tried uninstall, re-install, closing everything else, etc. I've been searching and cannot find anyone else posting about this type of crash (on any system) so I wonder if it is something unique to the TF701T or maybe Cromi-X (I'm on Deodex 6.1 and love the rom). I am hoping that I am not the only Sixaxis user running Cromi-X 6.1 at the moment. Note that you do not have to have a controller on or paired to test this - you can create profiles without needing a controller. Thanks in advance.
Hello friend.
I was running your setup exactly... however I've never tried to create a touch profile. As you, I did find that everything else worked properly on that ROM with sixaxis. It's a great ROM! If I decide to flash back to it, I'll give it a shot and let you know. Sorry I can't help.

I've never used it before but it seems to work for me. Not sure if I am doing it right
Main Screen Select
Menu > Preferences > Touch Emulation > Edit Touch Profiles
Then Double tap for menu > Change Background
I have an option for either Gallery or G+Photos and I select Gallery then I find the image and it's good.
Gallery version is 5.1.20131213 which is the Asus stock version (I think)
Did you maybe change your screen resolution? I am no the default.
You know what, I think your reply might have helped me figure out the problem. I don't see gallery installed and maybe this program is calling it. I'll look back, but maybe the 6.1 version of Cromi-X has it on the removed app list. I'm traveling, so it might be hard for me to restore it, but I will definitely give that a shot when I get back home next week. Thanks for the help.

Download the apk from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53816421
Seems sixaxis needs the gallery.... and sbdags removed it. He just doesn't remember why
Yes, that fixed it. Weird. Thanks.

Not that weird. Devs tie their apps into an existing eco system. Why not use services that are installed by default instead of duplicating it? We custom rom users are a tiny minority among Android users. So we'll always have to find our own solutions. Which is part of the fun, right?

He does now! It's because Asus called it called Asus Studio (not gallery) which is more than just a gallery but is full on picture editing (bloatware)
Anyway - you can also add it back in via the asus spps installer as well via post two of the CROMi-X 6.1 thread
