Hi all, hope you can help.
I have finally found the Contacts widget on this phone and when I place it on one of the home screens it is very large, only enabling four contacts per screen. How do you make these smaller. Before you place the Contact it also shows a small pic of what screen size it will take but cannot figure how to adjust it.

I cannot believe that that is the standard size of the contacts using the widget, on the Nexus I was able to get 16 per page. There must be a re-size option some where that I cannot see ????

Hi, Ive only just stumbled upon Golauncher and editing my Desire HD.
Ive tried to create my own pics to add as a icon on my phone... I have looked at the different threads and dont know where to post this so here goes....
I am using Golauncher and desktop visualiser but when i add a pic to launch the icon i cant get the pics to fit the size of the space... i have tried editing them, making them larger, wider etc but cant get it right; i also tried resizing them with go launcher itself but the border doesnt fit tight to the pic. I have icons on my home screen but there are large gaps between them.
I need pixel sizes for all the different variations e.g 1x1, 2x1 etc
Any advice on what im doing wrong??
Thanks
I can't help with go launcher, sorry know not very helpful to original question, but I find desktop visualizer is ideal for this job. You can add an shortcut icon of any grid pattern size will add a box initially, just take a screen shot and edit on computer to match sizes exactly for your chosen grid pattern. It also resizes icons well to fit in anywhere, Im using it on launcher pro for a 7x7 grid cause standard icons always get cropped due to small space.
Grrrrrrr , I love this widget , but it will not centre on the screen, I have tried a number of different version without success.
Small widgets fit in the centre of the screen fine, is there any way to fix this.
Any help appreciated.
John.

It's a 4x2 Widget. What's your homescreen set at? Rows and Columns? You would need to either have 4 columns or 6 columns in order to set this widget as center. Or if you have ADW or LauncherPro you could resize it to fit as long as you had an even number of columns.
So how do i do that?

you have to install ADW from Market as @ Mikroft said, and then you can configure from settings. long pressing to the widget will give you the opportunity to Edit your widget already existing, or when you add a new widget a popup screen will ask you regarding the configuration of ROW an Column (take a look at the screenshots).....hope it help

You can install Go Laucnher Ex and use 5*5 as it allows to resize widgets..

They're just pictures and are linked to the applications via desktop Visualizer.

I knew i should have shared that when i first found it last month... oh well. The only thing that kept me from keeping it was that icons would get cut out when you use that many columns and rows, otherwise, i have that setup backed up on my sd card for later use.

(Desktop Visualizer) widget on your homescreen.
3x1 widget: select which picture u want to use extracted from the zip.
For the application, choose best fit app for picture u chose. Clear the label and no touch effect.

is u using desktop Visualizer and or adw launcher?..if so hold the item widget for a few sec until a menu pops up and click edit.. that with let u adjust the widget size.. start off by using a 1x2 and go bigger to your likings.. as to the landscape setting use the adw launcher setting not the menu phone settings..

I know what the difference is, your grid size is different than what I had. Thanks, but I never had trouble in the first place. I'm using a different setup now anyway.

Maybe you should tell us what widget you are using and maybe you can find any option like "right-adjusted" and "bottom" or sth like this
Did you try to hold your finger on the widget for a few seconds?
Then you get resize and you can pull the widget to the right corner.
If the widget then is not readble change the grid size.
Works for me.
Sorry for my english
Redmi 9 upgraded to v13 and I can not find a way to place a widget. I tried long press on the empty area also tried to with two fingers to expand or shrink the screen nothing happen
