Hit thanks if i helped you :highfive:
Hey, on our phone you have trouble getting into recovery if 'touch sounds' are on. I don't know if the same thing applies to the i9000, because the phones are very different.

Hi.
I have a Galaxy S+ I9001. I had cranyum rom installed on it. One day it just restarted and after it got stuck in bootloop.
It onlyshows SAMSUNG logo, and then restarts and so on...
I can't get into recovery using 3 button combo, but I can get into download mode.
The problem is that it appears to write ok with Odin Multi downloader 4.43, but when it gets to the reboot part, the phone just power off and gets to the same bootloop. If I disconnect the usb cable, it shows a vertical battery icon, then black screen, again battery icon, and so on... Tryed with a different battery witch was charged to 100% before flashing because I tought that it was running low on battery, but the result was the same.
Tryed many different firmware and same behavior.
Is it possible to be a hardware problem?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
try to flash clockworkmod then flash anther rom >>>> it worked for me in same issue like you have !

or try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Plus/GT-I9001#Boot-loop
It does't matter what I try to fash to the phone via Odin. It says thet the flash was successful, and goes to the same bootloop.
Tryed flashing different roms, feamod recovery, clockworkmod, bootloader. Nothing changes.
So flash full rom wit pit and then root it again then do what ever u like

The problem is that it's a Galaxy S Plus - I9001. I can't flash it with PIT file. That's only for Galaxy S - I9000.
Does the pit file works for Galaxy S+ also? All that I found with pit file was for Galaxy S.
I can flash mine with AriesOPS, but that doesn't do the trick. Same bootloop after flashing.

First remove battery and press power for a min, remove sim card and ext SD card and than reinsert battery and go into download mode Download the CWM 6.0 recovery, link on My Android Collections below and try to get recovery First, than go into recovery , In recovery WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition + format /system) enter advanced and wipe dalvik cache too than flash the ROM
I allready tried to do that. It flashes ok with odin multi downloader 4.43, but when it goes to restart, the phone gets back in the loop, and I can't get it to recovery via vol up+power (with or without usb connected). It just gets to the same boot loop in witch displays just the SAMSUNG logo for about one second, the restarts, and so on.

Don't let it restart after flash by unticking auto reboot and than pull out battery after flash, reinsert battery and use combo key to enter recovery
Still no luck. Same behavior. Nothing changed.

ok, try switch to this flasher and do a wipe at the same time http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574149
Unfortunately, from what I have read, that flasher is used with the phone started and connected to the pc in debugging mode.
I've just tryed anyway. Nothing to lose
Nothing changed.
I really believe that it's a hardware problem.
So, any other ideeas? Or it's really bricked?

No, its not bricked, the solution may lie in the technique , have you tried these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660596 , :victory:BUT First it may wise IF used another PC or Lap top, just to be sure and also download a Broodplank ROM to flash
What is a broodplank ROM?

The problem it's that in the link that you provided, I must have access to recovery witch I do not have.
Or to use ADB, witch is possible if the phone goes after the Samsung logo at startup, but mine restarts exactly after the logo without going further.

Umm.. correct me if I'm wrong here, wasn't that a 2 button combo in I9001? I have personally flashed my friends I9001 and it was, like [vol+, power on]?
You are right is two buttons combo.

Have you tried holding the button combo a little longer? Don't get this the wrong way, from my experience I know that getting to recovery on i9001 can be a little pain in the a$$ and I really don't know why. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
hello!
i'm quite new here and i would gladly appreciate if anybody could redirect me to an existing thread (if any) regarding my concern.
i have my phone installed with rom manager via google play.i made a rom backup as recommended before downloading the recommended cyanogenmod version for my phone. i followed all the instruction about the rom, devlik, cache etc. everything was going well, when suddenly during clockworkmode (forgive my spelling), my phone booted and i thought it successfully installed. but then i noticed that it was booting was continuous even after 10 mins and more. i panicked and i removed the battery. and then i tried the lg shortcut for recovery (i think) which then appear. i chose to restore backup and then reboot. but nothing happened. it still "booting". everytime i power on my phone, it only show the lg logo and the blinking shortcuts. i tried to vol+/- and power but to no avail. i cant go back to the recovery panel. what should i do? :'(
i would kindly appreciate any help you could extend to me.
thank you in advance!
Hello mitzibelle,
Looks like your backup is no good also....
Did you press any keys during the backup procedure? Because backup will stop and not finish if that happened resulting in a unfinished & unusable backup.
What you can do is download the rom you want to install again, to make sure the file is ok check the md5.
Copy this file to your sd card, reboot into recovery and choose install from sd. Browse to the zip file and install.
This should result in a working phone.
Let me know if it was useful or not.

I can't seem to reboot my phone into recovery because the volume+/- and power button combination has no effect. if i put a new rom in the sd card and placed in again in the phone, will the hardware buttons work again? is having a "defective" backup rom affecting the recovery button shortcut or is it a different problem?
thank you for your help
You should be able to enter clockworkmod recovery by pressing the G button below the volume buttons. As soon as the 4 buttons staft to flash. Or just turn it off and on again and start bashing the G key immediately.
As soon as you enter cmw you might also try to flash your previously downloaded file again. Worked for me a few times.
A defective backup does not have any influence on the hardware buttons, also placing a downloaded rom on the sd would not affect the buttons.
Don't forget to clear the caches before you install your downloaded rom if it's different then the one you used when the phone was still working..... Maybe it's wise to clean the caches anyways concerning your previous problems. Wipe factory, cache & dalvik cache also. Dalvik cache can be found under the advanced menu option.
Hope this is useful

If you can't go into recovery you have to do emergency recovery with Smart Flash Tool.
Pressing the G-key repeatedly on boot to go into recovery is only if it has Huexxs G-recovery.

i just did the instructions in the link, and it works!
I have to flash it twice because i forget to clear cache, delvik, and restore factory setting.

Hi All,
Need some help here...
My phone just died last night...battery flat...so this morning i unplug and switch on....but it just gets stuck on the white writing galaxy note boot screen.
i'm runnning 4.0.3 and is rooted. I've wiped and factory reset but still no luck.
I've tried to flash the 4.0.3 again but it gives me a little dead android with a red triangle...
any ideas? getting worried here!!
Were you on any safe kernel bef4 u have factory reset it???
Try to get in download mode(vol down+home key+power key) and open pc odin in laptop.put the tar file of pre rooted gb rom in pda tab.and then connect your phone to pc and flash dat rom.
And if you have nandroid backup of your current rom.then restore it using recovery.

Hi everybody,
I have a Galaxy mini 2 non nfc model (GT-S6500D) and i've been using CM11 and CWM 6.0.4.5 or version after that and everything was fine. Then my battery decided to stop working. I got a new battery from a friend and i wanted to go back to stock rom and i forgot to wipe data and cache before going back to stock rom. This is where the problem appeared.
Now i'm stuck in a bootloop and cannot access recovery in any way. I can go into download mode, and i have tried another stock rom too, didn't work out. I tried flashing CWM 5.0.2.8, 6.0.3.2 and 6.0.3.3, it flashed but i still can't go to recovery. The phone just stays turned off when i hold Vol up + Vol down + home + power. Download mode works though. I also found a pit file and did a re-partition along with stock rom, it didn't work either.
Does anybody have any idea how to fix this or get past it?
Sorry because its my first post, i've been on the forum for some time but never registered.
Thanks ahead for any help!
EDIT: I managed to enter recovery somehow when it was already bootlooping or somewhat like that, im not sure myself. It's fixed now, Thanks.

Long press on the power button will get you out of recovery and restart your phone. With your phone on, connect to PC and delete the theme folder for twrp that you created (you would of created one to be able to theme it). Unplug, power into recovery, no theme!!

Thanks for the replies. Ive tried long press on power. It doesnt work. I dont have access to a pc until tomorow(Im using my chromebook at the moment) Deleting the themes folder was going to be the first thing I was going to do. Can I access the files on the phone from pc when the phone is off or in download mode? If not I will flash recovery with odin. Thanks for the help once again.
No you can't. What you could do is download cwm (Odin) to your external SD card put it back in your phone install (assuming the install button is accessible from twrp..) Cwm n bobs your uncle

One more question guys. I assume when I flash cwm it will be the default recovery? Also after flashing with odin will the phone boot normally and not into recovery. If it boots normally then I could just flash twrp and then delete the theme folder. I hope im making sense.
Cheers
Flash cwm, the phone should boot normally that is assuming you already have a rom installed? If so boot up then delete the theme folder then you can then flash twrp.
