[Q] Problem with WiFi with MiniCM 10 on SonyEricsson x8 (e15i) - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I got an old SonyEricsson x8 (e15i) ..
Done all the stuff of rooting and unlocking boot loader ..
I wanted to install the best & newest ROM ..
i got 2 ( PrimeHD 10 & MiniCM 10 ) both on nAa Kernel ..
So I flashed nAa v 2.6.32 into the device .. then Installed PrimeHD 10 through Recovery menu (( with all kind of formatting and resitting ))
Everything was fine .. just one Problem .. WiFi in NOT turning on !!!
I tried a lot re-flashing an re-installing
I installed MiniCM 10 .. the same problem remains
is the problem from Kernel itself ? is there any fix ? (( I searched a lot for this before posting ))
Pleasw help me
Thnx
** sorry for my bad English

For primeHD >nAa 2.6.29.6 kernel
For miniCM10 >nAa jb 05
Sent from my E15i

on jb .32 kernel, did you format system cache and data? try doing that after wiping then install minicm 10. i've never had wifi issues with that rom+kernel combo. wifi actually works great.
also, did you add any tweaks?
Just because i don't doesn't mean i can't.

Try gingerdx. I run v 025 and it works just perfect. Smooth and light and many customization has been made for this rom. Good internet access too.

When Iam on stock kernel the best ROM Ive used was GingerCruzt the most stable without any reboot now that I unlocked my bootloader using GDX v25 is the best.
I tried GingerXperia , Gingercrutz , KuyaDroid , GingerDx , GingerElite , Linuxperia and PrimeHD
Out of these I recommend : PrimeHD V6.0 > GingerDx V025 > Linuxperia = Kuyadroid > Gingercrutz = Gingerxperia = Gingerelite
The above is based on my experience. It migght be different for different people.
All these I tried on stock kernel.
EDIT : I had wifi issues with Gingerxperia and one more ROM (I don't remember)
Since you want internet , you might not want to go for Gingerxperia
Not sure , if that bug has been rectified.

Beware, that alfs kernel comes in two versions, you must use the cm7 version, did you?

Reboot at kernel bootlogo when Custom ROM is installed

Hello all XDA members,
I have very specyfic problem. When I flash some custom kernels, especially Alfs for GingerDX v08a + GingerDX v25, nAa-11/-13 + MiniCM7 or other GB ROMs (read twice, Gingerbread only / naa-ics works fine with nAa's CM9) my phone is rebooting at kernel bootlogo. I tried to restore to stock Eclair, relocking bootloader but problem is still the same.
Update
Now I can't install custom ROMs also in stock SE kernel. What the hell is going on?! Begin was a few days ago, when I couldn't run phone with nAa's kernel and ROM. Then, after a day, there was a same problem with GingerDX on Alfs v9. Next - GDX on Alfs v8a > MiniCM9 on nAa-ics > All ROMs with custom kernels > Now = all custom ROMs, working only Android 1.6 and 2.1.
Have you full wiped ?

wweewww...strange
had u follow the instruction step by step??
backup all your data n apps first, then
try to downgrade it first by flashing the X8 E15i 2.1.1.C.0.0._un.ftf
root
unlock BL
Flash the latest kernel
backup
factory reset, wipe batt, etc (important)
Flash ROM
Done!
flash nAa for miniCM - alfs for GDX
Yes, I do. Full Wipes, Flashing stock kernel & ROM etc.. Now I tried HACKDROID Floyo v0.3 + Alfs v7 + Fix for Alfs = also doesn't work.
Now it happens on any custom kernel, also nAa-ICS. I don't want to stay at stock. Maybe option "Exclude kernel" in Flashtool will help? I don't know what is it and I don't want to brick my X8.
Edit - I've updated title and 1st post because of new problems.

BASEBAND is the problem, after upgrade to stock you will have 06 and you need 15 - took me last 2 days to figure it out again Otherwise you will have just kernel bootloop
I've updated my baseband, and it works!!!
Thank you XDA communicate - You are awesome!

alfs v9a
im having a little screen moving problem, i think its the kernel alfs v9a, i'll try v8 and let you know
Edit; Alfs v8a solves the problem
Hey guys i'm having the same problem with the screen moving bug, it moves to the right a little bit. I tried alfs v8 and it solved the problem but I still don't think it's the best answer since the combo gdx v29 and alfs v8 has A LOT of battery drain on 3g and sync on (in 8 hours it drains 90 percent of the battery just in standby).
Is there any other thing I can do to fix this screen problem? If not i'll just go back to stock kernel
Afaik alfsv9 has that bug. Try oc'ing above 690 and use on demand.

Hey thanks for answering, I'm on demand right now, and the cpu is set to 122 mhz min and 691 mhz max (basically I didn't change anything). Any other ideas?
Pretty weird bug I hope there's a good fix for this, cos alfs v9+ is the kernel with the best performance I've tested so far.

I did everything according to the instruction of flashing 2.6.32 nAa JB kernel. My xperia X8 was rooted and bootloader was unlocked but after flashing the nAa kernel i had lost wifi ( I'm using miniCM10 ).I think that is the fault of the rom that I could reflash Androiball rom but still same. I have flash many rom but still same. Now my x8 does not have wifi. Help me.
Ps: Sorry, i don't speak English well . I'm Vietnamese.

it's neither the rom's nor the kernel's fault. did you format the partitions after the wipe? baseband?
