[Q] Battery widget application - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to know if there is any simple application which displays the battery percentage and has nothing to do with the time remaining and all. I have used many software's and it tends to eat battery life of my One. As compared to not using any application, so I need an app which does not eat battery and does the job of displaying the percentage.

Battery Widget Reborn.
Beautiful and simple. It also has a lot of nice features.

live wallpapers

Anyone use the? and how bad does the battery life suffer from the use of them..
on that same note, anyone know where to get others that work on the Xoom, a lot seem to crash, or just don't work.
Battery drain from live wallpapers depends on how much animation is used or resources it uses from the cpu. I have found many that work with the xoom via trial and error. My favorites are clouds live wallpaper and aquarium live wallpaper.

city at night look decent and battery drain is minimal.
Xoom handles live wallpapers better than phones do as far as battery and performance from what I've seen, its a shame there are so few of them (relatively) out there. Stock live wallpaper is simple and nice

Battery Percentage

Anyone know if we're able to show battery percentage? (NOT looking for an additional battery icon, want one that displays directly over the battery icon in the notification bar)
or, failing that... a way to remove the factory battery icon?
Unless your device is S-OFF, it is impossible to do either

What u r talking about is done after rooting. If you have a s-off IS then u can definitely do it. Else get a xtc clip if you have a s-on.

Hey I'm new here and just bought my Incredible S. Can someone please explain what S-on or S-off means?

I have written a fairly extensive explanation, check the dev forum in the stickied rooting thread

OR.. we could just tell him, it's the security flag in the radio that has so far stopped us from soft-rooting the IS... So, the XTC Clip turns the S switch OFF, so that it CAN be rooted...
And... That's why I said to go read what I posted in the dev forum, because what you have just posted is wrong. I am trying to stop misinformation being spread, I suggest you read it as well.
Getting S-OFF is NOT the same as getting root, root access has already been achived a long time ago.

You can use this one too, it makes little battery icon to taskbar and shows percentage
https://market.android.com/details?...ndroid.systeminfowidget&feature=search_result
I am also interessted in this, a way to remove stock battery indicator in taskbar, and have one with percentage instead NOT a dual indicator as so many applications give. I'm searching and searching but come up empty all the time.
you could just get widgetsoid which is a button that takes you to battery stats along with the current %age of battery.
it is a widget though, personally i dont like having having % in notifications as it takes up too much space so this works well for me.
This is achieved through a theme. You will have to find someone who will make a theme that changes nothing but the battery icon if you want to stay stock. Or checkout themes/ROMs that are already done if you don't mind a new look. Third option is to learn how to theme and do it yourself. Changing the battery icon is not difficult.

Number indicate percentage is too small. Bar is easier to see. At glance we can see our battery is half
(50%) about

Not sure if am understanding this right..
You are looking for an app to display the battery percentage in the notification bar?
there are a couple of apps which do this & without root as well.
one of them is BATTERY GAUGE - displays in a rectangular black box kinda shape.
The other is an app available for download here, its called CIRCULAR BATTERY INDICATOR - displays in circular shape with changing colors for different levels.

am quite fond of both of them actually

Exact battery display?

Is it possible now to have an app display the exact battery percentage instead of increments of 10? I know circle battery widget can, but many others cannot.
Sent from my DROID3
I believe this post belongs in general Droid 3.
To answer the question. I use Circle Battery Widget which shows 1% increments. The hardware is capable if reporting 1% increments so there should be other software capable of showing this.
is there a way to get circle battery (or is there another option)
to replace the existing battery? I know i used to have a metamorph for the circle battery... but that's not exactly an option currently...
What I meant is that with root we may be able to change how the system gives out the battery level when an app requests it, so more than just circle battery widget can get an accurate reading.

With the Droid X, 2nd init had to be implemented before we could get one percent battery increments. I think the same will probably have to be done with the Droid 3.

I dunno, I was using the app 'SystemPanel' (or maybe it's just 'System') to do some monitoring, and it seems to show the battery in one percent increments with no problems.
You should check out http://uot.dakra.lt for all your theming needs.

My guess is the gallery tile is draining battery because after I removed gallery tiles, the battery was a bit better but still sucks compared to the GO launcher I am using in terms of battery drain.
Nevertheless, still good job, it was fun to see people's response when they saw a WP7 interface on my friend's 7" Tab... haha
can't use it
I'm using Nova HD plus RC 10
Tried, nothing special but smooth

[Q] Nova Launcher benefits

Hi
I am using Nova launcher on my HTC One and I am curious to know if it is better/worse in terms of CPU usage, memory usage and ultimately battery life than the Sense launcher?
Should make no difference apart from it being more customisable than the stock launcher.
Yea it shouldn't change much of that, it just allows you to do different/more things than the stock launcher... and it has a lot more perks.
