Need Help Please - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello xda,
I'm kind of confused because I'll be buying an HTC One in few days, I live in Tunisia, and I heard that the 4G LTE version which is sold in Dubai (don't know wether it's 801n, 801e or 801s) will not allow me to connect to the 3G network here in Tunisia (Calls are ok though)
Here are the network bands in Tunisia :
2G Network GSM 900 / 1800
3G Network 2100
So is there anyone that could confirm with certainty wether The LTE version of the One (801n) will work in 3G with those radio bands ?
Thanks in advance guys,
cheers
PS : Anyone from Dubai who bought the One from there could tell me which model he got? 801e or 801s or 801n?

All of the models should work on Tunisia's network. All models can handle (3G) 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100MHz and (2G) 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz.
Now for 4G that is when you have to choose what model is compatible with 4G in Tunisia (if they have one). But as far 2G and 3G are concerned any model will be fine.

[Q] radio frequency

Hey guys, gals and guru's
Have had a bit of a search around and can't find any definitive answers.
Basically, I'm in Australia and wondering if you can flash a radio or something that would allow you to use the nextg network?
I'm currently on optus (3g) and looking to switch to telstra nextg for better coverage and want to know if I can do anything to my inc s to enable the switch or do i need a nextg compatible phone? Is it just software/firmware related or different hardware in the compatible phones?
Thanks in advance
You would be looking at hardware radios.
The optus incredible s will not work on telstra 3g properly. It operates mostly on the 850mhz band which our phone does not support.
change bands 3g
so there is no way to change the bands, I mean going from (HSDPA 900 / 2100 or HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100) to (HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - North America) ???

Yep the radio frequencies are fixed in the chipset and cannot be altered with ROM or radio update.

[Q] Is it possible to flash TMobile Baseband on to HTC One (brand-less GSM)

Is it possible to flash TMobile Baseband on to HTC One (brand-less GSM)
In asia, Taiwan, sells the Original HTC One.
Was hoping, I can flash TMO Baseband onto Original HTC One, purchased in Taiwan. Use in USA for 3G and LTE.
Is there a way to make this happen? or are there a Flashable Zip already available, I did not find?
If its a regular HTC one yes you can flash different baseband/radio. You will not however unlock any frequencies.
If you use T-Mobile on an international, developer, or any HTC one not sold by T-Mobile here in the states you will only pick up 3G in areas that have been reformed.

The Asia models are very different than other models and have a different frequency set for which they are designed. I don't think it will ever pick up AWS (which I think is what you want), even if some other models will.

Meaning, in the past like HTC Desire HD, which I had. There are cooked roms, and flash baseband. Unlock frequency to work pretty much any where.
HTC Original from Asia, which no longer possible.
Can you guys tell me, what t-mobile baseband frequency runs on?
Will the below work on TMOBILE?
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
HSDPA 900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure where you got those numbers, but everything except the LTE should work. T-Mobile LTE is 1700. However, having 1700 and 2100 is not the same as having 1700/2100 AWS.
Not sure if this is still relevant but my HTC Dev edition clearly uses tmo 4g downloading over 25 Mbps and upping about the same

Hi guys need a little bit enlightment,i had the one branded by verizone, and it has different lte frequency in my country,so it will pick only 3g signal.
If i flashing WWE radio will it gives me lte/4g sognal?in my country only had 850/900/1800/2300 frequency meanwhile my one only had 700mhz.

[Q] Using American HTC One in Europe

Hello! I want to buy a HTC One from ebay and use it in Europe. Until now, when I bought from US, I chose either unlocked or from AT&T. Now, I'm not sure if there are any differences between US HTC One models. So, can anybody tell me if the One from Sprint would work in Europe? Ok. I've found out that the 2G bands would work after unlocking, but what about 3G and 4G? Thanks!
Check with your carrier and then compare the specs between the US and EU Ones to see which bands match up. I know in my case that Three UK would work for 3G using a DE One as Three use the 2100MHz band

Phonearena shows that 2G and 3G are the same for all models, but for 4G it shows this:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600
LTE 1800 / 2600
LTE 1900 - for Sprint
LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 - for AT&T
LTE 700 / 1700 / 2100 - for T-Mobile
What does this mean? Does this mean that ALL HTC One phones have LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600? Why the next line says only LTE 1800 / 2600? Also, for example Sprint have LTE 1900, but also the other ones from above? I hope you can tell me this. Thank you!
PS: I need 800/900/1800/2600.
What SIM card are you putting going to use, e.g. from what carrier (Vodafone??)? Then compare their 2/3/4G bands and then check the specs for the different Ones available and see which is best for you (which is what I said before - it's not hard to understand)

Maybe my english was not so good, but I'm not so stupid as you think. I know that I must compare their bands, but I don't know what are the specs for those phones. This is the reason why I wrote what gsmarena says about this phone. I think you didn't really read my previous post. I didn't find anywhere what are the bands for those models. I cannot explain better than in previous post.
OK, this is taken from HTCs website:
3G - UMTS/ HSPA:
Europe/ Middle East/ Africa: 900/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps <--- This is the EU handset, 801n (m7_ul)
Asia: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps <--- This is the Asian handset, 801s (m7_ul) (probably)
Canada/ Latin America: 850/1900/2100 MHz up to HSPA+ 42 Mbps <--- This is the North American GSM handset, 801n (m7_wlj or m7_wlv)
T-Mobile (US): 850/ AWS/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps <--- This is the T- Mobile handset, 801n (m7_wlj or m7_wlv)
AT&T: 850/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps <--- This is the AT&T handset, 801n (m7_wlj or m7_wlv))
Sprint: 1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 14.4 Mbps <--- This is the Sprint handset, 801c (m7_wls)
So, you check what 3G band you network uses and see which phones support it

Here is a datasheet on the Sprint HTC One. The operating bands are not rom dependent, it is the built in radio hardware. Check the datasheet if the bands you need are supported then it will work with any rom.

It supports quad-band GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), tri-band 3G with HSPA (850/1900/2100 MHz) and tri-band LTE (700/850/1900 MHz).

No, the bands are built into the hardware so they can not be changed. The radio only enhances the bands that are present.
