[Q] Supported band for the UK version - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys, a bit of a dumb question but can't find the regional specs anywhere
Any idea what bands are supported by the HTC One UK version?
In particular, will it work in Japan W-CDMA Band 1 (2100MHz) or Band 6 (800MHz) ?
Cheers!
/lys

Just look at the specs on the UK HTC site...

Yes, and there are 2 types in Australia The GT-I9305 which is the one you can get in europe and is classified the International/Europe Version.. etc.....
And then..
You Have Telstra which brought out the GT-I9305T which is basically the same thing, I really dont think there is a difference, And IF there is a difference (a big IF) it maybe does not have the 2100mhz 3G frequency as telstra has shutdown that part of the 3G network in August.
But other then that it should be exactly the same as the I9305. Everything is compatible between the 2, Kernels, Firmware etccccc
Hope this helps.
Hmm - the service menu in my i9305T shows a choice of WCDMA 850, 900, 1800, 1900 and "IMT2000" - no 2100. Not sure whether that means much....

Htc one not working on 850 band??

Ordered a one on march 17 but now i am reading that some people in Australia can't get the phone to work on the 850 band....my network says the following ( Device must be compatible on LTE AWS (1700 MHz) or LTE 700 MHz bands, or UMTS/HSPA compatible on 850 and 1900 MHz bands. See your device user guide for information about network compatibility.) .... I wonder if i should just cancel....
This is for Bell mobility in Canada btw.
Thanks

It's the EMEA model specifically that is causing troubles. The ASIA version is fine so it's not a problem with all of them.
It's been confirmed that 850 is not working now on multiple networks. while the australian network in question DOES work on its other bands (uses 850+2100 3G, 2100 is ok, 1800LTE is ok too) so definitely not any network blocking or whatever.
If you've ordered from Handtec/Clove/euro resellers, I would probably be very careful right now... if you've ordered locally or from US then you're probably fine.
Yeah i ordered from handtec.....should probably cancel my order i guess

I'm having that issue. I got mine from handtec at first I saw the E and was like Wtf so I started playing with apn and the network modes I'm in fort Lauderdale Florida btw so by changing modes it connects to H or 3g but I noticed that after connecting to WiFi and leaving WiFi most of the time was going to Edge again. So today I try wcdma only and it's been connect it to H or 3 g since I did it earlier. I need more time to really confirm this tho.

I'm not sure, but worth trying to change network settings from HTC service menu,

[Q] HTC One variants 3G bands

Does any bady know if there is an HTC One variant that works in the 900 Mhz 3G band? I mean HSDP/UMTS 900 Mhz
Thanks in advance
The one bought in EU certainly does... The htc one from EU doesn't have the UMTS 850 band, so beware...

Oh yeah. HTC updated the specs site a couple of times. I was misled by other review sites which claimed that this phone was global for GSM and UMTS.
I anyways can't understand this fragmentation in the specs for different markets and wonder what the benefit for the manufacturer is.
First and last time I buy an HTC device because of this. Next time I will aim at an iPhone or a Nexus. These devices are global enough for my needs (roaming between EU and Americas).
I crossed out Samsung from the list because I don't like their untidy and cheap phone design. Yet their high-end phones are GSM and UMTS-global.

HTC One or Nexus 4 to Europe?

Which phone should I bring to Europe for 8 months? Sprint HTC One sim unlocked or Nexus 4? The countries that I'm going to have the exact same bands being used by the HTC One(GSM 900/1800 and WCDMA 2100), however I'm afraid I might run into permanent issues after reading through the main sim unlock thread.
You can also get a Global GSM HTC One and its Quad band so it can work in any part of the world where there is a GSM network.

I already have the Sprint version HTC One. Buying the official gsm version is out of my price range.
