Did u freeze some (system) apps? U need AAT (AllAutoTest), nfc-service, camera-test and may be more. If I freeze one of them, I have the same issue.... If u deactivated some LG-Stuff, u should reactivate it...

anks so much, Giles.
Have you flashed another kernel for root? Mine works flawlessly
I was using Darky's Rom. Flashed from that
Do you think a different kernel might help? I've been thinking about flashing a different kernel to get voodoo control app working.

Have you tried deleting /data/system/ms3c_yamaha.cfg
This is the config file for the accelerometer, you will need root to delete it.
I have this issue on my froyo rom quite regularly (couple of times a month)
Let me know if it works?
Or you could try simply re-calibrating in settings as I mentioned to another post on this earlier.

To be honest I would have assumed that was the first thing to try before posting here?
What happens on mine is that it gets locked and you get a 0byte config file no amount of calibrating / rebooting / using the engineer test menus will fix it but deleting said config file does.

I kind of gathered that I might need to hard reset, but I'd like to avoid that if I can. I've searched through my phone though. Can't find the .cfg file mentioned above. It's not in /data/system.
Ok. So by now I've pretty mich done everything. Even after a hard reset my phone will not aouto rotate and I'm becoming a little irritated by this whole thing.
Under /data/system THERE IS NO FILE CALLED ms3c_yamaha.cfg, so what's next? Go back to Darky's rom?
Can anyone help me here, please? My fingers are too big for typing with the portrait keyboard, besides the many other good reasons for being able to go into landscape mode

Yes, i deleted the apk after i got my 4X rooted. And all was working fine till today.
Today i only installed this app to try if it works : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821249
But instead of installing the modified app, i installed the original one (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.martinborjesson.o2xtouchlednotifications).
But the notifications didn't worked, so i decided to reboot my phone, and then it was deadly slow....
I'v tried to uninstal the app but all is too slow, i just can't uninstal anything...

Its seems the app is the reason for the.problem and not the root.
Maybe you can uninstall the app with adb?
I don't no the commands.....

I don't think the root has anything to do with my issue.
This app seems to.
But how to uninstall with adb ?
EDIT : I succeed hardly to uninstal the app through the drawer, but the problem remains =(

I had a similar problem. After I rooted the phone I accidentally started the application on the phone again. A reboot doesn't help. I must repeat the whole rooting procedure again. And then the phone was normal.

Yeah, if you happen to run the app again, it will add the .prop file back which is what makes it really slow.

What i don't understand is that i've never launched the app again, i uninstal it when i saw that the root was on.
Thank you all for your precious advices. I finally decided to reset to factory settings, and all is fine again now ! :cyclops:
I want to root it again, but i'm a bit afraid now.
No way, i must root my phone
Also, there is one thing i don't understand, this part actually :
Open a command prompt (may need admin privelages, right click, run as administrator)
Type without quotes "cd C:\o4xr" and press enter.
Type without quotes "root" and press enter.
Wait while the script runs, and the phone will reboot automatically.
You should then see the command prompt "C:\o4xr>".
What the hell is a command prompt ? (sorry i'm not english)
I think that it's because of this part i missed that my phone was running so slowly.

[Q] system ui problem

I have looked everywhere for this, but cannot find it. I am not sure how, but the systemui.apk is no longer on my phone, and so all features that it controls are not working. Does anyone have the apk for the Note 1 N7000 jelly bean update that I can download? I am going crazy without my notification bar.
My kernel is 3.0.31-906407
[email protected] #3
Build number: JZO54K.N7000JPLSB.
I have done a factory reset, and tryed to replace it with apk's I have found. I looked at rooting the phone, but I need to ensure I have it till the 28th, when if I cannot fix it my husband will root it. Please let me know if you can help.
Thank you

It is not listed in the "All Apps" section of the apps manager.
Symptoms: When my phone rings the notification to tell me who is calling does not pop up. I have to go into the phone app to even see who is calling, much less answer the call.
My notification bar is gone.
When I get a text message my phone will vibrate, but not chime.
My wall paper is gone.
I have found threads about rooted phones where people have removed the systemui that this are the same symptoms they have. The problem is that they had the original rooted program they used, so can reinstall that. I cannot do that, as my phone is not rooted. That is why I think my systemui is gone.
Install root explorer and check in /system/app folder for the apk, or in /preload/symlink/system/app. If it's there in preload, you will need to create a symlink for that in system/app.

You won't be able to install it as you're not rooted and it requires administrator privileges. But it's there anyway so I don't think that's the issue.
When did it stop working and was there any app you installed beforehand?

Thats really strange... Try rebooting into recovery (Vol up, home and power held down until you see samsung logo) then choose wipe cache and reboot. I doubt that will fix it though.
Only other options I can see are to root device by installing phillz kernel, wipe cache and dalvik from recovery, or root device, reinstall the app and make sure permissions are correct, or wipe device and start from scratch.

You said you tried to replace it ? How? Do you have an odex or deoxed rom? Anyways you will need root access to resolve this issue if you dont want to go about reinstalling the rom again.

Stop playing with essential parts of your system if you have absolutely no idea of what you are doing.
To get back to a reliable configuration:
download a stock rom and install it following the instructions in Dr. Ketan's thread here.
After that: start to read and learn. High probability this will protect the life of your device.

I know this sounds weird, but try clearing your hosts file. /system/etc/hosts. Open it like a text file (any root explorer would work). Either delete it or just delete all the text inside it and reboot.

Seems kind of jankey but after a fresh install you must hold the phones
answer button the swipe slowly for the phone to answer while sleeping.
If you swipe fast it locks the phone up. Hope there is an adjustment to
fix this.
