Hello all,
Today I bought my flaming HTC One and I'm very happy with it
I cone from a long Galaxy as series (1,2,3 and also tried 4) but now they bored me
I bought my One with a carrier,Tim ,and need to know 2-3 thing
1) to debrand it,I just need to unlock bootloader via HTCDev and then root, custom recovery and flash custom ROM? Is fine this way?
2) I saw that s-off is coming, can I always do it if I unlock previously via htcdev?
Thanks a lot and sorry if I being noob

The best guide for a walkthrough, imo, is this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618
Also, you need to flash a custom recovery before you root.

Hey guys. Im new to this whole Flash thing and I actually need lots of help. I had an HTC Desire Z before getting Xperia T and rooting was the traditional way, easy to do. Is there any possible way for me to root my phone? I've tried "Root many android", somewhere in this forum but when my phone gets to restore RootMe, nothing happens and I cant proceed.. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance..
P.S.: Im on 4.1.2, updated yesterday.
Come on, somebody must know what I need to do..

Well, correct me if im wrong, but in order to flash a ROM without ROOTING I need to unlock Bootloader?
First Read the rules. You are not allowed to bump a thread in less than 24 hours.
Secondly Read the all in one thread. It is not hard to find, it's the first thread in this section

No, not on this firmware but it is possible to get that firmware with root via downgrading to .303 (ICS), rooting with Bin4rys method, installing recovery and flashing a rooted .489 ROM.

Why would you not root if you unlock your bootloader? Unlocking your bootloader is done to allow flashing of custom kernels, all of which are rooted. After unlocking your bootloader your warrenty is void, but you could root the phone and keep warrenty. And all custom roms are rooted so once you flash a custom ROM you have root....
I just unlocked the bootloader on my HTC One and installed a custom Rom (viperone).
Is there a way to remove that annoying message on startup about developer mode ? Thank you

read this thread:

Word of caution though, Know what you are doing if you decide to go for it.
Read it carefully, as it CAN brick your phone.
I have this same message on my HTC One (ATT) and ill be trading in this phone next week. If I flash back to stock, will the message still be there?

As long as you relock, no. That message shows up with an unlocked bootloader.
As I was not able to find it with a simple search, I have to ask it (as a possible duplicate): How to relock the Galaxy Mini bootloader for added security?
