Hi all.
I would like to ask you for your help with settings of my cell to enable running Your-freedom from here: http://www.your-freedom.net/
I can install apk, but I'm unable to establish VPN. I don't know what I have to do for running this service.
Some advice?

Hi I use Wi-fi to connect my diamond to the internet and I sometimes use a vpn connection in my computer to connect to internet. I want to connect to internet through VPN .
I VPN settings I entered all data needed (server IP adredd , user name/password etc.) and when I click connect in diamond to connect to vpn , an error appears saying :
The remote party has ended this connection
Is there someone who can help me solve this problem? I'd be grateful
Isn't there any one to help?
sounds like a s/w (vpn client) issue on your device.
on a search, i found that many others have the same problem.
it's the vpn s/w (in their cases).
or i could be wrong. just trying to help.

I have the same problem
I am posting this to help others who faced my problem. I have tried this on my galaxy tab running Froyo (Android 2.2) Build number FROYO.DDJK3.
Problem 1: Cannot connect to internet using corporate office Wifi. I could connect to internet from my home wifi network but not from my office wifi network. From office network I could only access emails, not internet.
Solution:
(A) Ask your company IT system admin to allow your MAC ID to access the internet. MAC address is found at Home--> Menu button--> Settings -->Wireless and Network-->WiFi Settings --> Menu button -->Advanced-->Mac address
(B) Find out if your company has a proxy server to access internet if yes, add in the details of “Proxy” and “Port”. These settings are available below MAC address mentioned in step (A) above
Problem 2:
Now I could access email and internet through browser, but apps (gmail, market, Samsung apps, etc) could not access internet. After some research I found that this was because the apps were still not using the proxy server to access the internet (even after entering the proxy and port details under the settings as above).
Solution: (A) Root your Galaxy Tab: I used z4root. Method is described in http://androidadvices.com/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-tab/ However, use the latest version of the z4root app, available at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953 (I used version V1.3.0). Since I didn’t want to mess about too much with my Tab, I only did a “temporary root”.
(B) With your Tab rooted, install TransProxy. I used Version 3.08 beta, available at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=766569 Run TransProxy and enter your proxy server and port details.
That’s it. You’re Done. Now all my apps had access to internet‼
In the whole process there was no need to reboot. For good measure I only disabled and re-enabled Wifi and had internet access in email, browser and apps. The process was quite easy. I am not a developer or anything, I just researched a lot on the internet and thought it would be helpful if I put this down in one place.
I am posting this as it was a frustrating issue and I could see many people searching for a solution.
Note: I have not rebooted the tab and checked if the settings remain after reboot. Z4root says that if you temporary root, the tab stay rooted till the next reboot. Since I don’t really want to mess around
EDIT Just checked. On reboot, the Tab gets unrooted and Transproxy is not longer able to work. You will have to root again and then enable/disable transproxy. I have once again opted to "temporary root", as I don't see myself rebooting frequently.

You'd have much more luck in getting a response by posting in the HD2 forums and not this one!
Regards,
Dave
thanks you so much
I finally got this working on my docomo galaxy tab with froyo build. In my case I used proxy type as http.

Sent from my GT-P1000
Hi all,
Need help! I have a GT P6200 and wifi is not working even after resetting it back to default. Its able to detect ssids but when Iam trying to connect using my home connection its just saying remembered and not connected.
I'm trying to get a SIP account working over a VPN connection on my GS, however it fails to register whenever I'm connected by the VPN. My company has an external PBX that's only accessible over VPN, and when I'm in the office on wireless (which is already connected to the VPN) the SIP account works fine. Does anyone know a fix for this? I searched the forums but didn't turn anything up.
I did find this though... http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=14043 which seems to be the exact issue I'm having, but the link with the alleged fix is broken.
Anyone got any ideas? Cheers!
The SIP service that comes with Gingerbread does not work over a VPN. Try using Csipsimple or Sip Droid, i can connect using Csipsimple over a VPN.
Thanks for the tip, I've tried CSipSimple, looks really good but still won't let me connect over the VPN. Tried on 3g and wireless, same deal, connection refused. Works fine when I'm not on the VPN. Is there some setting in CSipSimple that lets you specify a VPN?
firewall VPN
Hi! This is my first post here in xda-developers. I just wanted to pitch in and maybe get an answer to my problem as well.
I've been trying to use CSipSimple thru a Fortigate VPN with a 3CX PBX System. I managed to register it using a L2TP VPN configured both in the Firewall and my Android phone (btw, it's a Samsung Galaxy Y Duos, Gingerbread 2.3.6 Rooted). I can make and receive calls on my phone, but I have one very annoying problem: I can't hear the person on the other end from my phone. They hear me just well (with awesome sound quality), but I can't hear them.
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?
BTW, regarding the topic above: have you configured your Firewall to accept the VPN users? And maybe check ports 5060, 8000-8020, 9000-9020 to be open?
I got a problem with the wifi after I install the rom id Andro-rc3
I replace wpa_suplicant, in order to get an ad-hoc connection. and it worked. before that, my phone does not even detect the ad-hoc. and successfully
I can connect to wifi. surf smoothly. and others. but for some applications do not. like facebook. instagram. and certainly I never managed to upload anything. unless I move to 3G networks
can anybody help me?
Hi Everyone,
So at work, we use an open network to connect to WiFi. Log in through the browser and then put in the proxy details.
The problem: Everytime the WiFi disconnects I have to re-enter all the proxy details. Having wifi always on is one way to solve half the problem.
However I need to put in the proxy details every single time I connect to the network it makes me mad!
Does anyone know a way to get it to store wifi settings or to get it to remember Open networks?
Thank you in advance.
