Help me before I change smartphone (in spite of this LG pleases me).
My problem is as follows: before this P880, I had a smartphone with which I was satisfied, but when I discovered that its radio fm was not in stereo (hey yes, I attach a lot of importance for the stereophony), I sold it, with regret of course, and it is what is going to take place with my P880(if the problem is not solved),because its radio is not stereo ( by stereo I mean 3D sound as you can hear different sounds on the right and left earphone, not dual chanels only) .I tried all the official roms(v10c,v10e,v20a,v20c...), and many headsets and earphones, I upgraded, downgraded , but the problem is that I have mono sound, while on my son's LG L3 there is a stereo effect. Then, please, tell to me if there is any manipulation to make to have the stereo effect. Thank you for helping an old man limited in technology.
P. S.:avec spirit fm, I have the stereophony with original earphones, but I am obliged to stay on ICS.
Sorry for my bad english,if you understand it,you're champions.

Hi all,
Dunno about you guys but my new XDA2s is pretty paff when it comes to bluetooth. Scratchy sound, erratic volume, headset disconnecting randomly, poor range, etc etc.
I have used an old O2 G2 headset, a new O2 Bluetrek headset and most recently a Nextlink Bluespoon AX headset. All of them were nearly as bad as each other - except the volume on the AX is far less erattic. However, using them with my PC proved no problem so the XDA2s is at fault here!
I did find that forcing the headset to use headset mode rather than hands-free made a significant difference on the older models, however I cannot manage to force the AX to headset mode in any way (still waiting for tech support on that). The AX is let off though as its hands-free mode is as good as the headset mode on the older models, I just hope it will be even better when I force it to headset (if anyone knows how let me know!).
So - I have tried the following builds with my AX:
Radio 1.06.00 BT 3500 - BAD
Radio 1.06.00 BT 3900 - BAD
Radio 1.08.00 BT 3500 - Better volume and outgoing call, but bad for person on other end of the phone.
Radio 1.08.00 BT 3900 - Pretty much the same, small imporvement for me, no imporvement for other end of the line.
I am hoping we can keep a track of various radio and BT version in this post and try between us to figure out a good combination.
There is an extra audio dll
There is an extra audio dll for bluetooth that fixes some problems posted somewhere else in this forum.
This one fixed bluetooth headset enormous here.
I believe the dll you are talking about adds the high-quality bluetooth protocl, allowing stereo bluetooth heasets to be used for music etc. Does this make any difference to the normal bluetooth headsets though?

Hi,
Not sure how I got mine to work but I am using a Jabra 200 headset and it works great.
I am using a custom image of WM2003SE with the optional BT drivers and so far no problems - I found when I originally had similar issues I had to pair the headset again and then everything was okay (I noted the XDAII asked if I wanted to enable the headset support).
I get the odd problem where the headset icon disappears from the today screen but I found that its still there, just doesn't refresh so you have to tap the area and it comes to life.
The headset answers the calls after 3 rings (the headset creates beeps in time with the ringing) and when I dial the headset switches on after a second of making the call. The only thing I have noticed is that I cannot redial when pressing the button on the headset however it does hangup an existing call.
Cheers,
Godz
Hi finalzero - you say XDAII, do you mean IIs or are you using the II? My old XDAII worked fine - it is just this new XDAIIs that is giving me problems.

Bluetooth
Hi ,
same problem for me ,
Radio 1.08.00 BT 3900 - slightly better but not the best wit Jabra 250 V & Qtek 9090 ,
I installed BA_OEM_AudioGW CAB , downloadble somewhere around , but still problems .
When all of this will end ? Bluetooth is a nightmare !
I've had an XDA2 (several actually and got fed up of them being rubbish so insisted on an upgrade) now got XDAIIs. The bluetooth manager is aweful! Can't connect to my O2 headset, does't work well with TomTom3 and is generally crap!
Logged on to find out if anyone else is having trouble so please it's not just me, now all I need to do is find out how to fix it. I'm not a mega techie (but not too bad with the right support) and wondered if it's possible to use the bluetooth software from the XDA2?
Bluespoon AX
I have the same sort of combination Orange M2000 and Bluespoon AX and have the same nightmare sound quality - using Radio 1.04.00 and BT 3900. The AudioGW patch makes no difference (as posted above it's for headphone solutions).
Would be interested in the info you get back from Nextlink on the way to force the mode of the device if possible. Otherwise it's a complete waste of money as it crackles at both ends.
Nothing back from NextLink - have sent 2 emails. With radio 1.08 it sounds fine to me but the user on the other end reports it still quite bad. Gonna do 1.10 soon and see if that helps...

XDAIIs Bluetooth - upgrade to a Jabra 250
I had similar problems with my bluetooth Jabra 200 so I upgraded to a 250 (the black one) and I didn't have any further problems. The vibrating alert is really neat... 8)
bluespoon AX
while we're waiting for Nextlink's reply - can anyone advise me as to whether an upgrade to the Radio version (I'm only on 1.04) requires a hard reset (and full software re-build) or not? If not - are there instructions on another post that say how to do it??
Upgrading to radio ROM 1.08 or 1.10 may improve your BT performance significantly -- I updated my SX66 to 1.08 a couple weeks ago and my Bluetrek G2 headset now works much better.
Radio ROM upgrades do involve a hard reset & software re-install; this thread is devoted to the 1.10 upgrade -- there's another one in this forum for the 1.08.
hello again everyone!!!
i just got a set of blueant x5i stereo bluetooth headphones yesterday... they look cool and feel cool... call quality is great...
but the mp3 sound through my tmobile wing is HORRIBLE!!! i tried the headphones on my co-worker's t-mobile dash and they sound awesome... i can't figure out why they sound so muddy and crackly on my phone... is there a setting somewhere that i am missing??? perhaps a firmware upgrade for my phone that would solve this issue???
any help or insight would be greatly appreciated...
thanks in advance,
bennie
How does playback sound through the included (if any headset) or through the loud speaker? If it sounds good (normal) through those then its most likely a blue tooth problem. When you sync it up are you around anything that could possibly interfere with it during the sync process? There have been a few times when I am making a call (rare) but it wont get a good connection and everything will sound like I am under water or worse. (more with my old phone having a crappy radio)
If you have sync'd the two a fair ammount of times and its always the same sounding quality might look on the T-Moble Wings forum (this is the HTC s730) and see if other users have had the same problem. I wouldnt see it having a bad HTC driver, but it might not be very compatable with that headset?
its hard to judge sound the the loud speaker... it sounds bad no matter what...
when hard wired through the headphones that came with the unit, the mp3 playback is fine... its not crackly like this headset is... i tried resyncing a few times as far away from everything as i could so there would be no interference... i never sync my music files though bluetooth so i know that the files aren't getting corrupted... they are going through usb...
i think it has something to do with the phone...
Double check the compatability on the headset, if it plays fine through the USB headphones, and the headset sounds perfectly fine on another phone...
What version is the heatset? blue tooth 2 or whatever the newer version is? I know the phone supports it but something else might have changed? Just something to look into.
Aside from a firmware flash or some software bug I cant think of anything else If the compatability show's up that it should work might try calling HTC's support line?
i contacted blueant before purchase and they assured me the headset is compatible... also tmobile claims that its compatible as well... they even have tmobile packaed oem boxes for this particular headset... the hardware protocols also line up... technically, everything should work!!!
i already contacted htc with regards to this issue... this was their reply:
Thank you for your inquiry in regards to Bluetooth headset stereo issue.
Ben, I know how important it is for you to have the bluetooth headset working properly, Unfortunately there is no updates or patch available for the T-mobile wing to fix the issue, although T-mobile might have a ROM upgrade. The reason why the T-mobile dash had no issues with the headset is because it has different drivers for bluetooth support. Look into possibly upgrading the device rom to try and resolve the issue, otherwise you'll need to purchase another headset which is compatible with the device.
i looked into updating the rom and it appears that i have the newest version: 4.10.531.3 WWE from march 15th 07... i wasnt' able to find anything newer... does someone else know of a newer version for the hera110???
Hmm, might be something in T-Mobiles software that is nerfing your set... Not sure of what though...
Hello guys.
I have a Plantronics Voyager 815 mono headset, which is supposed to be a rather good one. The reception quality is great, however people on the other end either don't hear me very well, or they're telling me it's as if I would talk from inside a barrel.
I usually hold the phone in my hand, so it's barely a meter or so away from the headset. When I just use the phone (no bluetooth), the sound is crystal clear both for me and the other side.
I was wondering what your experience might be with bluetooth headsets and if you could perhaps recommend one that would also have a good outgoing sound.
Thank you.
Hi pedmond, I use a motorola S9 mainly for music, no one ever phones me unless I'm at work or my Mum, But I love it, the sound and reception are great. I did have a problem where the sound kept dropping out for a few seconds then coming back but it seems sorted since my latest flash (Dutty's 1.6 awesome). On the S9 the mic is built into the tiny in-earphone in a single unit, background noise is minimal. One thing I did was play with the settings in Schaps adv. config. until I was totally happy, I know you must have done this, and searched everywhere and also posted in accessories too! Maybe you have fluff in the mic!
Thank you for the input, uniqueboy.
I played indeed with Schaps settings, but unless I'm mistaken they are for stereo headsets - mine is mono. Your S9 would be too big for that.
I'm mainly using it at work for business conversations; I also need it to be small enough to keep in my pocket.
The headset I have has an extending boom, which makes the microphone hole pretty much self cleaning, so I would guess there is no fluff (at least I can't see none).
It's a bit annoying I can't use my set in optimal conditions. I'm willing to buy a new one, I just don't want to get into a trial and error loop - this can get expensive pretty fast.
I also don't trust a lot what I read on the net - this headset comes highly recommended, but I find this not to be true.
I would thus rather learn from other people's experience.

hi bro,
I am using Jabra 5010 mono headset as well as I-Tech Blueband Pro stereo headset. Both, i do not have any problem with bluetooth and sound/voice quality.
not to jump into conclusion that your set might be faulty ... Have you done any tweaks to increase/decrease volume? if so, try to reset to default. or try another rom, if using a official rom or cook rom gives the same issue, then most likely it will be your headset thats causing the issue.

OK, this may be a silly question: can I increase the OUTGOING volume on a bluetooth headset? (mono)
Just to mark this problem solved: turned out my headset was defective. I've had it replaced today and finally everybody can hear me just fine
Thank you for your help.
I can't seem to find a program which will route ALL audio to my mono bt earpiece. If there is such an app pls pst. If not, I'd like to help in the dev of such an app. Basicly, whenever the phone sees any audio bt device it will start routing all audio to that device. And it should have a built in audio mixer to control the different programs' volume levels separately.
Let me know what you think
Thanks.

As a bike commuter this feature would be great. I typically listen to streams and podcasts where fidelity is not priority one. I use a cheap pair of corded headphones where I chop one ear bud off so that I can keep my left ear, traffic side, open. It would be sweet to have the ability to make/take calls on my commute and listen to audio as well. I know that there are BT earpieces that are a2dp, but should I really have to drop another 40 clams to get one, hells no this is android we get what we want right? That said I would develop a prog to do this but it will take me 6 mos as I have no background. So, to kind devs, myself and several others that I have seen scouring for this sol'n would gladly help test and pay for this functionality.
I have been looking also. Have not found anything to even mention. I used to have it on my old MinMo phone, but that's the ONLY damn thing I miss about it. Anyone have a recomendation.
theres a bunch of cheap A2DP headsets at dealextreme.com just do a search for a2dp
But I do mean cheap dont expect miracles for sound quality or battery life . . . but did I mention cheap?
We're not trying to solve our problems by purchasing MORE hardware, we're trying to make do with what we have and find new uses for old stuff. We want to send ALL the audio from the device to a mono NON a2dp earpiece. It can't honestly be that hard, Please devs. And don't forget your donate buttons.

This is not working for me, and I have 3.0. Doubt that 4.0 is working on the G1.
Hello!
Sorry to up this "old" topic, but I'm a biker too and i have a scala rider Q2 bluetooth device. This device does not support the bluetooth A2AP x-(
The phone calls trough bluetooth is ok but no music or GPS....
I found a solution : Bluetooth Audio Widget (i could not post the link but you can find it on the android market)
This Widget/application route all the sounds from your device to the bluethoot headphones!
@++
I have been using "Super BT Mono Pro" on my T-Mobile G2. It is working better than a few of the other apps that I have tried. It is also available on the Market.
http://www.androidzoom.com/android_developer/sinwidget_itzo.html
How do you like that Q2? Does it work well on FM, or is its radio coverage spotty like the other units? I still think they have awesome audio when you are talking to someone. I gave up the Scala Rider FM for a Parrot SK4000.
Hi there. First of all, i know that this is related to an Accessory, but i posted it here because i want to confirm if my problem was ROM related or not..
Here's the thing, the SE MW600 is no doubt a good piece of music accessory.. But when i used my SGS with it running Darky's V8.1, the sound is horrbile. There's a strang metallic sound to it, and high pitched sounds like cymbals are distorted..
Before you go ahead an flame me, I've done some initial tests.
1. I tested it first with a SE k800, my old phone because i wanted to know if the bluetooth headset itself had bad quality music over bluetooth.. Surprisingly, MW600 has a 'show music track name' that does not work with my SGS.. Apparently it only works with java-based phones.. Everything works, all the music controls, the volume, etc. And music quality is comparable to using a wired headset.. So the headset in itself having a very bad sound quality is out of the question..
2. Next, i tested it with a 2nd get Apple Ipod Touch because i wanted to know if the bluetooth headset was only compatible with SE products.. Sound quality - perfect.. Music controls - not working, except play/pause.. Track names do not show.. So this means that the headset is not closed to SE products and is in fact compatible (and has great music quality) with an apple product..
3. Lastly, i tested it with an SE x10 mini pro, thinking that maybe the problem's with android.. It was similar to the ipod touch experience: Sound quality - perfect, ALL Music controls work, tracks still not showing (because it's not a java based-phone).. So this means that the problem is with the SGS itself, not android..
So my question is, for the (very few) people who own an MW600 and an SGS, Do you experience this horrible sound quality as well?
IF YES: are you on a custom rom? what roms have you tried? have you tried reverting to stock rom and comparing the difference?
IF NO: what rom are you using? are you on a stock rom?
If some people report that the sound quality is horrible for ALL ROMS, then it is a problem of SGS itself.. But if some people report excellent quality on a different rom, then the problem is rom-specific..
I face the same problem but only when I use it for phone call. For listening the music the sound quality is good. Does anyone can give solution?
Woah a response.. Thank you for that.. I was kinda loosing hope in this thread..
Anyway, I have found reports that the sound quality for some galaxy s users is actually fine..
What rom are you using?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Was always fine for me on Darky's 9.x and now also fine on CM7.
Try a stock ROM...?
I've got the same problem Max_82 has.
Call quality si very bad , while music quality is ok... (strange...)
I'm running f1 s2 v6
