i have a weird problem with my galaxy ace since i installed ultimatum rom with stock kqt driver
my phone doesn't scan my router wifi while it can scan and connect to my ISP (802.11EAP) network/other hotspots
also my router gets easily connected to other phones/pc's here are my specs and solutions i have tried

what i have tried
flashed phone with 3-4 different roms based on stock, cm7, cm7.2,cm9, ics
*#*#526#*#* does nothing, even not a error msg same for *#526#
please help
Try flashing a stock ROM, I recommend the Spanish KTM.

Hey guys, recently I have been trying a custom ROM called Doctorz Rom v2.0 based on JVS 2.3.5, it was pretty good, stable but had to fix some glitches myself.
To my dismay, I switched on the Mobile AP, some call it wireless tethering or just wifi hotspot, and there was an error. I could still connect other device like my mother's LG Optimus 7 to my phone but it couldn't connect to the internet.
I did a search on google and there seem to some issues with the wifi hotspot with custom ROM, well there are a handful who are on the stock JVS rom and it worked out well. I have used this mobile AP in 2.1, 2.2, 2.2.1 and 2.3.3 and it all works fine except on this Doctorz ROM based on 2.3.5.
Just a check if anyone who is on custom JVS 2.3.5 ROM, ODEX or DE-ODEX, is also having an error with the mobile AP or anyone who is on stock 2.3.5 JVS ROM with fully functioning mobile AP.

Hello, is the any solution for connecting to ad-hoc wifi networks with sgs JVS firmware? I have tried some wpa_supplicant patches made for 2.3.3, but it doesnt work on 2.3.5. Please help.

I tried every possible wpa_supplicant version available, I just found this one that seems to work for me!

Ever since i flashed my phone with abyss kernel using odin my wifi icon doesnt show up in the notification area when i turn it on
however it seems to be connecting to my wifi router... but dosent work say if i open facebook or use the browser
im using a Galaxy Note GT-N7000

I currently have 2.3.6 GB on my phone(I9000) with this I can use hidden Wifi networks! But ICS and JB roms I cannot use hidden Wifi networks, they always stop at authentication and give authentication error, normal Wifi networks work perfectly. My friend has ICS on his Galaxy S III and he can use this hidden Wifi. What can be the problem?

I never had any problem connecting to my not broadcasting wifi network.
reflash jvu+cfroot with wipes and flash the rom u want
i recommend
for ics: SLIMICS
for jb:elitemovil or paranoidandroid... i prefer elite's rom

My wifi working, but when i want to connect to my network i have only Obtaining IP adress... and nothing more. What's wrong any ideas to fix this?
I tried back to stock with SEUS/PCC, reflash kernel/rom.
I have this problem only in JB roms, but in isc, gb and stock no.

did you tried full wipe
Full wiped too, and first rom, wifi connect and seconds flash gapps too
