OK, it's misunderstanding. I am talking about system applications like Timescape, Walkman, com.sonyericsson.wakeup and such. So I understand you do not know nothing about existence of this list.

If confused about removing any bloatware
Just using System Clean Up from Google Play
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...=organic&utm_term=system+clean+up+google+play
This app will give any info about any app in your phone, which are safe or not to delete, just read the info carefully
I'm personally prefer Titanium Backup
=)

@acidburn619 bro, already answered this question here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982133.
Also, you can find a complete list of the apps you can safely remove here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089470 . It's from gb i think but some apps are the same. Just use es file explorer, go to system/app and compare the apps from the link above to the one you find in your phone.

[solved] XV unlocked bootloader, receiving notification to update.

Thread title kind of explains it. After unlocking my XperiaV's bootloader last night and flashing SpidaSingh's kernel (the version without recovery), I have a notification that I can't get rid of telling me that 9.0.1.D.0.10 is available, even though that's what I'm running and have been running since I OTA'd it a couple weeks ago. I've heard that really bad things can happen if I do an OTA with an unlocked bootloader, otherwise I would just let the update run. I'm new tuo Xperia, and I can't find a way in settings to not have it automatically look for updates, and of course I'm also a bit confused why it would want me to update the firmware that's already being reported in settings. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You can just delete the app which provides the information about the updates. You can use f.e. Anttek App Manager or Titanium Backup (both free on GP) and just delete the app.
I did the same on my Xperia T - nothing wrong happened, everything is fine

May I suggest you freeze the app instead, that's what I did, solves the problem yet should you want the app back or to receive the ota you can just unfreeze it

That's what I did, though actually the problem seems to have resolved itself after flashing a custom rom, go figure.

Sky go app and Xperia t

Hi I can't search specific forums on this app so excuse Me if this has been answered already.
Had anyone got sky go working on their Xperia t? They have a root check and doesn't let you view anything until root is removed. They also have a firmware signature check so you have to be on stock Rom.
I used supersu to fully un root like a dumbass and it still didn't work. Now super user won't install properly.
I'm on doom kernel with curiosity rom

You wont be able to use sky go with an unlocked bootloader because you are always rooted with that kernel, even if you uninstall supersu.
Flash the root package I have installed to get your supersu back.
RootPackage-gregbradley.zip - 1.75 MB
Ugh that is head wrecking.
Is there any script to spoof locked boot loader? Thanks Greg.

you can relock the bootloader. There is an ftf in the dev section, just search for it.
But then you will have to have a stock kernel.
Nah I'd feel like they won then and I'm waiting for JB Rom with decent battery life. I tried to remove the read phone state permission and it wouldn't start.
Edit: it blacklists and allows kernels by using the information like one would see in "about phone" right? Or does it go deeper?

[Q] Removing bloatwares

I am rooted and so want to uninstall crapwares like google plus and socialife. what are the names of the apk's in /system/app? :crying:
Can't you use root uninstaller to remove them easier?
Sent from my C5303 using xda app-developers app
Use ES Explorer, and go to app manager. If you has rooted, you can uninstall anything you want.

From Xperia SP with XperiaLised HuaShan Dark ROM
Well, rather than uninstalling, a more better option would be to freeze them.
You can use Link2SD on Play Store to freeze unwanted apps, or use Titanium Backup Pro (Paid) to freeze them. You can uninstall them from both the apps too.
Best of luck. :good:

[Q] List of stock apps and what are they used for

Can any one provide list of stock apps for xperia z1 and what are they used for?
This will help us to uninstall the unwanted apps once we are rooted.
Here is example ,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487073
They have explained each and every stock app and is it safe to remove it.
Use system app remover it will suggest you which all app are safe to remove..

Don't use unnecessary apps.
That's everything you can do on stock kernel and ROM.
Also, use stock laucher and don't use many widgets (that's already when system is ON but could be annoying as well)

I'm using doomkernel v21 and stock kk .757 deodexed. There is not any another way to change it ????
There are xposed modules which allow you to change which apps "start" at boot. You may want to look into boot managers for rooted devices

Tweak kernel, do that what Greg just said and delete all unnecessary apps...
If you are rooted and you are - you can do many things.
You can go to system/app and system/priv-app and delete all apps you don't need.
BTW - even we need deodexed ROMs to be able to use many mods - odexed ROM are faster.
That's whole or the main purpose of dex files and dalvik cache
Apps are using their dex brothers to access assets easier and quicker...
