[Q] Touchwiz!! - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey!!
Guys, is their any way to get touchwiz 4. the stock one of the Note on 4..1.2 rOms?. because that looked better than the touchwiz today?. any way!!????
Thanks

You mean Android 4.0, the ice cream sandwich. You can search stock ics ROM for GT-N7000 on xda. This you do if your phone is rooted. If it isn't well i do not know how you can revert back to 4.0.4

[Q] stock ics to paranoid android ics

Hi guys - i went from ics stunner to stock ics - bit bored of it to be honest! So - love the look of paranoid android - with mixed tablet/phone mode - can you advise on what I need to do? Do i need to flash back to gingerbread (if so, which rom?) then obviously I gather I need to root - this all seems much more difficut than when I rooted to go to ICS Stunner and frankly i'm a bit confused!
any help MUCH appreciated.
Here, check this
Best of luck
actually its simpler than it sounds.
Flashed a Gingerbread rom - prerooted.
then put the files on the SD card and installed from recovery.
Painless - and Paranoid is superb - everything I liked about ICS Stunner but better.

Well, there isn't a fix for the brick bug in 4.0.4 and there is roughly a 5% (I think that was the statistic) chance of bricking your phone if your phone is affected.
Yes you can upgrade but yes there is a little risk
But dont worry you have your warranty
And i think its the risk worth taking bcoz 4.0.4 is more stable than 4.0.3

Go for it! 4.0.4 is really good
Classic ROM v1 LRG , Mod Pack 1 , Green Theme with SpeedMod K3-9 kernel.
go 4 it....its really more smoother than 4.0.3 update...!!!:good:

So far as I know, upgrading your stock ICS to 4.0.4, through Kies, should not lead to any brick issue. Worst Case, if anything does happen, U do have warranty for the same.

[Q] how to revert back from 4.1.2 rocket rom to 1.0.4 ics unrooted state

Hi Guys,
Hey i was testing many Jb roms such as ultimate JB and rocket rom.
Now since i noticed that JB had just a battery back up of one day I want to revert back to my good old ICS 4.0.4.
I have downloaded mobile Odin pro. I just wanted to know , if I flash ICS 4.0.4 for my country (taken from sammobile) will i be able to unroot and claim warranty / or be able to revert to stock samsung ICS and get my samsung software updates as usual ?
It would be really nice if someone could help me on this .
thanks in advance.

as Shyam replied earlier, yes you can do with PC Odin.
Depends on your purpose. Are you still going to use it for your personal use ? or are you going to sell back to Samsung ?
If you are going to sell back to samsung / claim for warranty (if your current state need any claim of it).
If you are going to sell back to Samsung / claim your warranty, better you just flash back original firmware (can be downloaded from samfirmware.com) with PC Odin. You should need around 5 minutes (plus-minus) to flash it back.
By doing this, you will loose your root, get original firmware (ROM), with original (stock) kernel. Once you are on pure stock kernel, please do not do any wipe data, as I believe you know the consequences.
But if you want to keep root (and use it for personnal), you can use Mobile ODIN. But you have to check first which version is running on JB rom, since according to you, you are now on JB custom rom. My understanding, earlier mobile ODIN doesn't work on JB rom.
If you don't want the hassle of doing so, Just :
Flash back original firmware (download from samfirmware.com), with PC Odin
Once boot up on ICS, go to stock recovery (Vol UP+Power+Home), flash Philz Kernel. (you will get root + CWM). You can refer to Philz thread, and download his correct kernel for your ICS built number.
Good Luck!

[Q] [Help] Upgrading to stock Jelly Bean from stock ICS

Currently I am using stock Ice Cream Sandwich with hardcore kernel, and it is rooted.
Is it safe to upgrade to stock Jelly Bean via my phone without using Odin to flash?
Will my phone encounter any problem since my phone was rooted previously?
Thank you.
Install this first. (I did) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
Then a downloaded stock rom.
Btw.. you don´t want root?
Can I just flash to stock Jelly Bean using PC Odin?
I am unsure hardcore ICS kernel is safe to flash over to Jelly Bean from ICS using PC Odin?
kyiori, going by the current system status of your device, it is rooted and has a custom kernel flashed on to it.
:good:
My suggestion would be to get Mobile ODIN Pro from the Google Play Store, and use this app to flash a stock Jelly Bean firmware along with a custom Jelly Bean kernel such as SpeedMod K5. Flashing via Mobile ODIN Pro neither increases the binary counter, nor displays the dreadful yellow triangle.
