Seems to have gone out of stock now on Amazon, Expansys and Handtec as well as Clove.
Need to buy one ASAP from one of the later batches (may). Anyone able to recommend an alternative seller?
Thanks
Phil

Hi guys.
Does anyone know where to buy a brand new XDA 1 in the UK? I've been down the normal ebay route and looked on the expansys website but think they are all a bit expensive!
Looking to pay around £170
Ta.
I ordered one off an internet phone shop a few days ago. £149 with a bluetooth headset, on O2 200.
They are awaiting stock, but just checked the site again and they have put the price upto £250!!. My order still says the same so fingers crossed thats what i get.

expansys will not have it in stock till 2nd july. Does anyone know if clove uses paypal as a payment method ?
So i have ordered the Battery and will post my impressions of the battery once i will get it
I went into Carphone warehouse today hoping to have a look at one but they didn't have the handset and they thought they wouldn't have one for 1-2 weeks.
If you find a London retailer stocking the handsets, please post here as I'd love to have a look at one before I pull the trigger.

Try an o2 shop if you have one near by, mine had a couple but no display model.
Didn't O2 get a 1 month stock exclusivity for the N4? Or am I imagining that?
Edit:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/11/01/o2_touts_extortionate_tariffs_for_nexus_4_exclusive/
even if they sell you them simfree, arnt they doing a ridiculous price!?
Yep, £399 for the privilege...

They have an exclusive for contact subsidized phones, not SIM free.

Does anybody know a good source where to buy the Chromecast in Europe? Expensive eBay-sellers from overseas, where you have to add customs and high postage fees don't count...
Cheers!

Check sites like borderlink or comgateway that allow you to shop in the US and then ship it to your real address. Many Europeans/Asians are using this method. Both are compatible with Amazon.com, I'm not sure for Best Buy or Google Play
Thanks, I'll try that!

Looks like you'll be paying for the item twice over with the shipping charges they are suggesting!

It should release in EU soon. Play store in UK now has movies etc added. I also was able to order another chromecast today from bestbuy here in the US for deliver next week. Surprisingly I also got another netlfix code emailed to me. I'm planning on mailing this to my friend in Osaka. These are tough to purchase, even googlers can get them BUT you can beg people here! Perhaps not all are trying to profit.
Have this same problem in Australia. $100+ on eBay from American sellers. Hopefully Google will make it available here soon along with the new Nexus 7.

Buy multiple of them and then sell off others on eBay to reduce your shipping cost.

Where the hell are you supposed to buy one of these in the UK?
The Asus website says to buy it at PC World who have nothing in store or on their website. Amazon UK don't have it and Amazon.de won't ship it. John Lewis don't stock it.
Laptops direct have it available but keep moving their shipping date. It's late November now......
I have the money and am ready to go. Come on Asus take it please.......
I know what you mean. Ive been searching google 5-10 times a day for somewhere in the uk to buy one. I'm wanting to replace my prime with one.
When you find somewhere please let me know.
Thanks

Hmmm tempted Let me think about it.
I keep watching on idealo in uk , seems 4 places have it now r for pre-order
laptops direct, bhs , debvenhams and amazon. good luck
I've been waiting months to get one too. Any idea why there is so much delay? Display shortages?
Expansys have them for pre-order.

In my experience they always get new products first but you pay a £20/£30 premium

Just pre-order so far.....
I found 2 on amazon.co.uk one is still unavailable and the other one is £469.99 but at the moment dispatch time is 1-2 months.
Because of under 10 post rule i can't post any outside links... or i don't know how.
The price gougers at Ebuyer have upped the price to £460.
I'm guessing most of people who wants to buy it are waiting because maybe price will drop after it will be available in more retailers then just a handful and for a pre-order.
Ebuyer have put the price back down to £429.
According to the website they are expecting a delivery on 9th Nov.

I'm not getting too excited about ebuyer's delivery estimate. After all the 9th is a Saturday. Not a common day for deliveries. Maybe they'll get them on Monday.

It'll be interesting to see if they actually have stock. Why have there been so few online reviews?
