Hi there,
I am wondering, can anyone of you please guide how to install total recall in correct way, so that i can work.
My device is ROOTED .
While installing directly, it does not record any call. it records only from dictaphone with a very poor quality.
I have rooted my device for total recall only.
When i install from external storage ( by pressing vol. up + menu + power) it gives error message " invalid signature ".

How to go from stock->MIUI

Hello everyone at XDA, I've just bought a Samsung Galaxy S GT i9000 from the store Mediamarket.
I want to have MIUI on my device, so I want to know exactly how to get it (how to root it, how to add cwm, add a custom rum, put miui in.. yeah everything I need).
Right now I got a stock rom, here is some info:
When i go to Settings-> About phone, i get this:
Code:
Model Number: GT-I9000
Firmware version: 2.3.3
Basband version: I9000XXJVO
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9000XWJVH-CL184813
[email protected] #2
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.XWJVH
When I call *#1234# i get this:
Code:
PDA: I9000XWJVH
PHONE: I9000XXJVO
CSC: I9000NEEJV3
Build Info: Wed May 4 18:03:59 KST 2011
So please everyone, tell me how to put MIUI inside (so I can understand it) of this awesome phone!
At first you have to have a Gingerbread-firmware as a base - you have that.
Then you need to flash a kernel that includes CWM (just flash it with Odin, you have to put the file into the PDA-field).
Last step: copy MIUI.zip onto your internal sdcard and flash it through CWM (install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> MIUI.zip -> Yes).
So first step is done just by doing nothing.. awesome
Do you mean I don't need to root? Can you give me a link to the kernel i should flash?
Can i flash this http://www.darkyrom.com/community/i...tion-edition-10-1-gt-i9000-only-for-now.3237/ with Odin?

Well you can but that is a whole ROM not just a kernal, You can get darkcore from that website, or look at the kernals here which also has darkcore
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196704
This is a stock based kernal that i have used before, and from chainfire a v.reliable source, it should have what you need...

then flash the zip through recovery, but obviously follow the instructions from the thread you get the MIUI ROM from as it maybe be slightly different

I9000 Root with No USB No Recovery

Hi All,
I am looking for a way to root my device in order to upgrade to another android.
From recovery all updates fail because of signature fail.
This is my device:
Model: GT-I9000
Firmware Version: 2.3.6
Baseband: I9000XXJVU
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000XWJW1-CL788890
[email protected] #2
Buildnumber: GINGERBREAD.XWJW1
*#12345#:
PDA: XWJW1
Phone: XXJVU
CSC: OXAJVU
I can't access the Phone by computer/USB, charching works but drivers not.
Tried different computers, different os's, different cables.
I have tried Z4Root and Gingerbreak 1.2. No luck.
Anyone suggestions?
I want to install clockworkmod so I can install android from recovery.
Thanks.

[Q] software or motherboard

MY device shows it is loaded but not of course the good batteries and a good charger - I changed
Kernel and Rom I made two auto WIPE before installing and i saw that he does all the WIPE --- I bought from EBAY NEW USB and opened the device and I installed it but did not help
However the question of software problem??? How do you know with that motherboard?.??
I plug it into the computer and can be used as a USB flash disk
And it shows that the loading but not loader
philz touch 5
cwm base 6.0.3.1
I work with kernel version 3.0.31 -1103517
se .infra @ sep-126 # 3 smp preempt mon apr 1 \ kst 2013
pristine jb all lanuages v 4.0 slim
baseband verision-- n7000xxlso
ios --4.1.2

[Q] Can I format/wipe?

Not sure if the brick bug still applies to JB.
I inherited this phone from a friend and want to format data/wipe/reset it.
I used the "got brickbug?" app to check if my eMMC chip was vulnerable and it is (Type: VYL00M).
Model Number: GT-N7000
Android Version: 4.1.2
Baseband Version: N7000XXLT3
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-1103517, [email protected] #3, SMP PEEMT Mon Apr 1 21:33:52 KST 2013
Build Number: JZO54K.N7000XXLT4
Is it safe to boot in recovery and wipe data/factory reset? If not, what is an alternative "safe" method I can use?
Help (or redirection) would be appreciated!
There have been no cases of a brick bug on JB so I would say it is safe... however if you want to be sure then flash Philz kernel (got to the original android development) and flash it through recovery. After that you will have a safe kernel and a custom recovery.
If You want to be sure flash from stock recovery a Philz Kernel. You can put the file zip into your sdcard than go into recovery and flash it.
:good:

Error in /sdcard/cm-11 Status 7

I have a rooted N7000 with 4.0.4 on it.
This are my info:

Im trying to install CM 11 via PhilZ and CWM and it gives me an error while installing, something with metadata recursive, status 7...
Anyway, I figured I should install the CWM from Odin, can anyone tell me which one to download?
If you currently have Philz kernel then download for example Raw Kernel (any version) and flash it through recovery. You won't be able to boot into your old ICS after this but you can flash straight to CM 11 with Raw. Don't forget to do a full wipe though.

I believe error 7 often indicates youre using an old/incompatible recovery-version.
Try updating that first. (install a different kernel..)
