My dear Friends,
Anybody out there with a similar problem? It takes forever to fully charge my new Htc One roughly 5 to 6 hrs. Is this normal?

I had this problem and found changing the USB lead helped.
Please do not start a new thread for this. There is already a thread about this at

Issue is. Everytime or most of the time after restarting my phone my battery will go down dramatically like from 70% down to 40%? But after like 30 mins it will go back up. Any idea how to fix this?

This is a common problem with the not, the only solution is to buy a new battery (unless the phone isn't older than 9 months).

Hello Friends... I saw many people having this problem with their phones... The problem was battery charging stuck when it reaches x% (x might be 85 or 87 or 90 whatever mine is 87%). I tried bump charging, tried to calibrate battery several times, etc etc but nothing works... So i decided to take help of HTC Care and i get back to stock and i take my phone to htc... they registered my complaint... The Engineer named this problem as Battery Not Charging Physically... They kept my phone for a week.. after 2-3 days a call came from HTC to tell exact repairing amount of phone... According to HTC Engineers the problem is with motherboard and it costs 8590 INR... So i didn't repaired my phone...So there is no worth to repair phone...and say Bye bye to Green LED... lolzz... If any one solved this problem on there own then plz share ua exp so others can solved them too... Thank You..

Have you tried with another battery? Because they have a chip that prevents overcharge. Maybe this has a defect.

In addition to the issue you mentioned about battery not charging beyond a certain percentage, did the battery also drain faster?
I have the x% issue and the battery drains fast adding to the woes

Hi everybody.. i'm encountering this problem with my HTC one. When I reach the 20 %-9 % range of the battery the one shut down. Try to reboot and shut down again on lock screen.then I'm forceed to put it on charge. Why this strange behavior ? Battery is broken or not calibrated?or a bug? Please help !!

If i remember their is a battery calibration file somewhere in the system, if it is deleted it causes the phone to re-calibrate the battery gauge, have you tried a battery re-calibration app from the app store, i think this is what they do.

All stock!
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
If it`s all stock and you dont want to root, all you can do is full charge and then run it till it shuts down a couple of times and hope the battery gauge learns the true battery capacity, if this does not work.
Or you could try charging it to 100% and keep it plugged in, then do a restore to factory defaults while plugged in, then see if that fixes it.
If this does not work, you might have a faulty battery, get a replacement phone.

Found this fix online, see if it works.
Option 2: (No Root) Physical Battery Calibration This option is also very simple, but at the same time, a little more time consuming. If you have a rooted device, Option 1 is definitely the way to go. However, if you don’t know what “root” means, stick with Option 2 and go check out the root section of Android Authority.
Turn your phone on and charge it for 8 hours or more.
Unplug the charger.
Turn your phone off and charge it for one hour.
Unplug the charger.
Turn on the phone and wait 2 minutes.
Turn your phone off and charge it for one hour.
Unplug, turn it on and use as normal. Your battery life should now be a lot better.
i saw that so many incredible users saying there droid takes so much time to charge the fell battery of IN s , from few days i too encounters this problem ... for me yesterday night takes 8hours to charge only 27% after searching in Google i saw a temporary solution for this problem

I need your guys input on this basically I got this phone on a swap off craigslist. The phone is on 4.3 and was already unlocked with TWRP. My only problem is the battery is charging extremely slow I mean like it was on charge for 3 hours and only went from 30 to 80 percent. Has anyone else had issues charging I did some searching and seen others with same problem but no one stated a solution to the problem any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

There really isn't one. HTC One is not capable of fast charging. ,3 hours does seem a bit unreasonable tho for 50% charge.
